hi ive been shifting gears for a while and i thought you only switch gears when the bike is very high rpm do u think my engine is damaged?

Just FYI acording to the manual you are NOT securing the bike properly. The front straps should be over the lower triple clamp NOT the handlebars and there should be rear straps pulling back against the footpegs.

I can’t choose between the 125xc or the 250xc both two stroke.

My first time on a bike (CR125) back in 2006.. I wasn't even trying to jump just riding on a "flat" field, must of hit a ditch or something I don't know but the back end came up as if I was doing a front flip...KOd myself, friend said I had throttle wide open and didn't let go and it was just taking me for at least 4-5 front flips like a fucking rag doll.. never been on once since

Good tips, I rode a Suzuki 125 as a young teen, then a 250. A couple seasons ago I swapped for a crf450r. Fun bike but this one has hurt when I’ve layed it down. Finally got my first Mx boots because of that and it was like I forgot how to ride 🤣

idk if im dumb or what but my issue w this is just that theres too many things to keep track of at once. remembering the different mechanisms and knowing when to do what and the fact that we are using all 4 limbs during a ride. any tips on how to focus?

I think a 250 4 stroke is way less reliable than my 2020+ ktm/husky 2 strokes. Iv put 150hours on a topend & it still looked fine when i did replace it for 500$ and 2 ours. Meanwhile the 250fs are clapped by 50 hours and cost 1300$

What boots you wearing? Lol. Your ankle moves WAY more than mine does. I know you’re saying not to use your ankle, but you’re clearly getting some pivot out of those boots. It’s like, 5-15 degrees but that’s hugely helpful.

Buy right boots then it solves the problem. Sidi crossfire is easy to shift and orotective

real helpful. i will have my bike i a month or so honda says. they say it will be in stock again and my name is on the list to get it. and i will get boots. and this was very helpful. i am a life long bmx freestyle rider and still ride and am over 50. but i got a dual sport on the way that i can take off road down dirt roads and fishing trips and camping etc. so this was great info

don't you worry about managing opposing forces on longer trips? what happens if you are forced to brake hard?. Would strapping the back wheels create redundancy (if one of the front straps/ carabiners fails) and keep the bikes in place ? Appreciate the video and your thoughts on that.

I really do not think this way of popping a clutch is a good idea. No control and you are destroying your clutch. Use the throttle.

Just bought my first dirtbike yesterday 2024 ttr230 still getting use to clutch. Taking off from first gear and slowing down for corners ate where im struggling and takes me a long time to find neutral

What about running a 2stroke no engine brake and you are dealing with power band.

I dont think brand dictates whether a product is going to be good or not (Just like automobiles, the model is more critical typically). Some of the big brands like Fox have reduced durability from what seems to be driven by cost cutting measures, especially for certain models. Pants are thinner, foam padding falls out faster etc.

I ride a 125 with no clutch but I been r releasing the throttle and its been really good about dropping me back down when I start getting to high

Forgot to mention not to dump the clutch when DS like when US. Also you should mention that not all the bikes lock brakes when doing bad downshifting, only non slip assist.
