So, I did this plus her styling tutorial. My back and neck were hurting like hell, but it is totally worth it. My hair never felt so soft and moisturized.
I do this but not all at once. I wet the hair, add deep conditioner and cover with 2 shower caps for 20-30 minutes then rinse out. Add shampoo, agitate and cover with shower cap for 20-30 minutes. Scrub scalp and rinse. Add conditioner, comb through, leave for 5 minutes and rinse.
I'm black....not only can different races have same hair...but different races can have same skin color....black/indian/arab for example Finally truly learned race is a social construct When i was in South Africa learned about their races, black, white, mixed, indian. I live in US the black classmate was called indian due to her 3b hair and the woman born in india with bone straight her in south Africa is mixed due to her skin color.....make it make sense 😊
In South Africa, we don't have a racial class called mixed, they are classified as coloured_ there are different types of coloureds like bushman, griquas, cape malays, cape coloured and even hottentots @@carlao7157 🙃
❤I love it too! When I returned natural 20yrs ago I used any product I wanted (not sticking exclusively to those marketed to Black women. Redekin, Paul Mitchell & Giovanni were among the HGs! I have thick, fine 3c, 4a… silky on my tightest curl area center to back. Meanwhile my sister has coarse (strong) 3c corkscrew. People who actually got to feel my hair always acted surprised is was so silky & soft, but depending on whether I let the curls pop, wore an air dried blowout, or flatiron, you’re gonna see something different!
deep conditioner: garnier ultimate blends - “nourishing hair food” range in “banana & shea”; the shampoo and conditioner are also from the same range but in “papaya”.. i haven’t tried the shampoo and conditioner but i have tried the banana deep conditioner and omg it’s so good! detangles my long/thick stubborn tangled hair in seconds!! will definitely be trying the papaya next! also fun fact - banana and papaya (applied on hair / in hair products) leaves your hair feeling super soft and smooth! ❤
also this deep conditioner can be used as a normal daily rinse-out conditioner, a rinse-out hair mask and as a leave-in conditioner which is perfect as you can rinse out 80-90% if using as a mask and continue to reap the benefits as a leave-in which is what i like to do with this product ❤ [plus it’s silicone-free and vegan friendly!]
Then you probably don’t have curly hair. Curly hair can handle a lot of water and wet detangling. If you have straight hair or a slight wave. And your hair is fine. Then don’t do this. If you have really wavy hair or really curly hair. Then you can do this.
@@Mia_monroe56 actually I have 2c waves, it still doesn't mean it wouldn't cause lots of breakage with the wet brushing. No matter how fragile you handle your hair during the washing routine. It's a no for me but I WISH I could do it!! 😭😭 she's got lovely curls! 🥰

This is deff not recommended to get the full benefits. You can do this and it’s fine but I wouldn’t recommend doing this all the time cuz your just washing out all the hair mask benefits
@mandiwolfe6631 Ohhh I see, cuz my tangles are horrible. It takes me forever and a lot of lost hair in the process. 😫😰 So, condition first to remove tangles, then shampoo and condition again?

Girly.. This technique is for curly hair... It won't work on straight hair, curly hair needs styling to look like that, and THAT'S one of the techniques, and you can't brush curly hair when it's dry by the way.
Thanks for the tips but as a haircare person/ hairstlyist you hairs pretty and everything I love I just DONT RECOMMEND SHAMPOOING MIDS AND END unless you have curly hair with straight or wavy hair doing this will dry it out super fast fast unless you double moisturize after but this is a tutorial and sorry 😅 I'm just trying to help
Listening to you has helped me. I tried doing it on my own and saw nothing. I tried starting small, like you had said and it worked. It was real subtle and i was shocked. So now i am trying again. I have several big ones that would help me a lot. Keep doing what you want. You have truly helped. Don't give up. Don't let negative people get you down. ❤
It's dependent on hair type. If you have fine straight hair, it's not recommended to brush it when wet. This is not true for other hair types such as curly hair. In fact it is suggested you should only brush hair when wet if you have curly hair.
OK. I grew up in a time before so many do's and don'ts with hair. To be totally honest, there is nothing wrong with combing or brushing your hair when wet, even straight hair. It's why they make wet brushes, and way back in the day, before a wet brush was ever thought of, we combed our hair when wet. Because of the bonding properties of wet hair, the hair would wrap around the bristles in the brush and break it more easily. Just make sure it's conditioned and you start with the ends first. Seriously, no one is going to wait until their hair is dry to brush or comb it out. You'd have a frizzy mess. If you have straight hair, you have to begin brushing it when it's wet, anyway, if you blow style it. Now, curly hair is always brushed when wet. If you brush it when it's dry, you risk significant breakage, not to mention looking like you stuck your finger in a light socket.
I don't have curly hair, I enjoy watching all the process and the result is amazing. I love looking at healthy bouncy curly hair. And yes, I am really aware to maintain it to stay healthy that is a whole different story and dedication
I'm seeing everyone say this was so helpful, but my curly girls and guys WHO NEVER TAUGHT YOU TO DEEP CONDITION AND DETANGLE!? These are crucial parts of our hair routine 🔑
Lol sadly a lot of us were raised by people who either didn’t care for their own hair or had very different hair types. My mother and extended family all have pin straight hair that needs little to no maintenance, while my dad has kinky/curly hair. He started balding in his 20s and as a guy never grew his hair out, so I had no one in my inner circle who was able to teach me about hair care(I have 2c/3a). My aunts on my dad’s side also have tight curls, but were always shamed for it growing up so they’ve always straightened or relaxed it and never learned how to care for it either. Point is, a lot of people with textured hair are still shamed and gaslit into thinking they have “horrible” hair, and there’s no one out there spreading positivity about it or teaching basic hair care. Growing up I always brushed out my curls, straightened my hair every day (for YEARS oml yikes lol) because I was ashamed of my crazy “frizzy” hair. It can happen, esp in a lot of 3rd world countries that still experience lots of colorist cultural behavior. When every hair product is marketed towards silky straight hair it makes curly hair care a lot more difficult to embrace and care for.
