Brush it out because I didn't know it was curly. It's not that intense of a curl, just enough that I thought my hair was ugly, frizzy, and unmanageable. Now I spend too much time and money on it but I feel pretty so fuck it right

I’m the unbothered phase, juts left it in a bun and added a hair tie every day until u had to shower 😭 I really gave up on my curls back then

moisturize and wrap it up while it dries then detangle with a wide comb cause if not ill look like a demented french poodle lol

After you mousse let it dry then comb through it. Then it doesn't look wet and it holds.

I was like "Let's straighten my bangs" to "Let's straighten my hair". I was the girl who thought that cutting her hair to shoulder length would look like those Pinterest photos but she looked like Dora the Explorer curly version. That's why I opted for permanent straightening (I still have frizz).

I grew up with the brushed out frizzy hair because all the women in my family had straight hair and had no idea what to do with thick curly hair. My mom was constantly trying to get my hair to straighten but it never got all the way straight and because I grew up in a humid, windy area, it was still always frizzy and poofy. Drove my mom nuts. Once she stopped trying to control my hair, I quickly went in to “it’s just hair”. Sometimes it was super short, sometimes long, but I never really cared much.
