I always hated my curls and got them chemically straightened for years. Now at 29 I found out I liked them without volumen on top or to the sides, just defined curls. Still have to grow out my straight ends but it'll be the last time I did this

I just discovered how to care for my curls and style them and I am shocked thinking I used to straighten them everyday. I missed years of wonderful hair days!

I get the l’ange mousse and my hair never gets crunchy! It’s pretty expensive, but I find it’s worth it. I’ve had to use other brands when I ran out once, and I was surprised how crunchy they made my hair! guess my mom really did spoil me a bit by getting the good stuff from the get-go 😅
As a straight hair girlie I actually always liked crunchy hair on girls and could never successfully replicate it. It always looks clean and always smells AMAZING. It always made me think the girl looked freshly showered and put together. I can't be the only one who doesn't hate the crunchy look right?
Definitely wait till your hair is dry before you “scrunch out the crunch”. You can use a small amount of hair oil to scrunch or just use your dry hands! I’ve found it’s best if you wait till your hair is 100% dry, flip your hair upside down, then start scrunching all over. When you flip your hair back upright, you’ll be amazed at how gorgeous your curls look!
I’m 41 and I still dislike any product in my curly hair, so I’m always straightening it. It sucks because I feel like if I straighten it I don’t want to do other things that might mess my hair up, like swim or exercise and sweat.
I never realized how curly my hair is, I always put it up in a towel then brush it out and let it air dry, but now that I’m in the pool more, I don’t use a towel on my hair and my hair is EXTREMELY curly
I was today years old. But that's probably because I just never used product on my hair growing up; it was frizzy or bald so i never did anything with my curls--
I never minded the crunch, I was and am all about how my curls look (defined, frizz -free, shiny), not how they feel. I try not to touch my hair much once I've applied products anyway, because touching leads to frizz.
Yeah, for years I thought my hair was just messed up and weird because it wasn't working 😂 Why don't they mention that in the instructions on the package? They write down every other little shit!
I don’t have my hair curly for school because I am scared people will make fun of me and it’s kind of weird if I start to do my hair naturally in the middle of the school year and then people will say stuff like that not your natural hair your faking it
You should not let others opinions influence you.If you like your curly hair and want to go to school like this do it. Curly hair is beautiful, if they’re making fun of you they’re likely jealous. At least that’s what I’ve been taught to believe. Wear your natural hair with pride, you’ll feel good about yourself and will help your hair’s health. (It’s not good to constantly straighten).

Beautiful curls 😍
My hair is curly , but dry, I need your advice to be pretty like yours, thanks
Use shea moisture it’s amazing and make sure not to use any products with alcohol because it drys out your hair more - as a hair care stylist
Girl you're speaking to me. And im 53. Back in the day there were hardly any products for curly hair. Nothing would work for me.
I always hated my curls cuz they are too frizzy. Still hate them and haven’t figured out what to do about the frizz!
I love your curls!!✨🫶🏻✨
Those are such beautiful curls!❤😊
Wow... You're so pretty I love the color of your eyes mixed with your hair 😍 ❤

Crunchy curls look really good on me but the thing is they get really frizzy in the heat. Learning that i just scrunch the crunch was a lifesaver!

Literally me 😂
Thank you so much!
I knew when i was 12 lol
I didnt mind the crunch but it never lasted the end of the day which is why beanies were my friend

Trends are cyclical. Wet look curls were popular at some points in the 80s/90s.
Now because you told me 😂❤ shit I always had this Problem at the age of 14
Gotta break the cast, life changing when you find that out!
i know it's not the same thing but when i use edge control and my hair gets to the similar hair texture of yours i like the crunchy texture idk
I was today years old when i founs out just now, from you 😂😂

How tho? Tutorial plz! Because no matter what mine always come out crunchy if I use any product
I learned that when I was 13
Yeah buddy! You can also use gel and hair lotion together so you don't have crunch at all!!!! Also Mizani Hair Milk is AMAZEBALLS!
I see people still walking around with "crunchy" hair and just want to walk up and "scrunch the crunch"!!!
I guess I'm today's years old when I learned you could do that. I've just been not using the product that makes it crunchy out of fear
This never works for me, they always stay crunchy 🥺
Knowing to put gel in hair at 16 is wild
For me, it was crunchy and stringy (very thin strands)
