    "That's merciful"
    God is a merciful God
    Edit: Ok, let me explain what I meant. God is an Immortal, all-powerful, all-seeing, and all-knowing God, he was here before time began, and he'll stay here even after the end of time. He did not create Hell for us, he made it for the Devil and the Demons, and he does not wish for anyone to go to Hell. It's why he sent his son Jesus to die on the cross. It's our decision to not choose God, and not to believe in Jesus that sends us to hell. Again, God does not wish for anyone to go to hell.

      @quesodagod8840
      Not really, you have thousands and millions of chances throughout your life to choose to follow God. God reaches out to you every single day, he's trying to reach your soul every second of every day. If you choose to ignore and reject God, then you have no reason to be mad at God when he rejects you.

    • @DieFast4
      @DieFast4 Před 6 měsíci +2

      I don't think it's necessarily wrong nor trying to argue against god in terms of sending people to heaven or hell, but I do believe that showing mercy doesn't mean to forgive, but to relieve consequence of something. And so the second he chooses that people must go to hell, he's no longer being merciful. And so at least it makes no sense to me that people call him merciful when, for at least the Christian religion from what I know, is built upon a god creating a consequence for every action he sees as immoral or "sinful" and so is about as far from merciful as you can get@RRagan

    • @RRagan
      @RRagan Před 6 měsíci

      @reecemorley8860 he is merciful while your alive. You can ask him for forgiveness at any point in your life. Then second you put your faith in christ, you are saved.
      But God is the God of the living, not the dead. The second you die, you lose your chance to turn to God. So if you die and you rejected God, then there is nothing Jesus can do for you. He is the way, the light.
      People think that they have to live a good life, but there are no good people in God eyes. There are 2 types of people, there are unsaved sinners, and saved sinners (Christians)
      Christians are going to heaven because of their faith, not their works. And unsaved sinners end up in hell because of THEIR choice to reject God. God does not send people to hell, people simply send themselves to hell.
      It is your choice where you want to go and spend eternity.
      If you want to have a more in depth conversation where I can explain this better, message me on Instagram @Benjamin.bornagain.
      I encourage you or anyone who wants to know the truth to do so. I promise it will be the best decision you ever make, and it will change your life.

      Still a metaphor and likely a parable. Because clearly heaven and hell do not meet if hell is separation from God. So how is Lazarus able to speak to the rich man?
      And notice that the rich man said I am in agony in this fire, yet does not ask to be removed from the fire but asked for water to cool his “tongue”. There is so much more to this story than believing literally that hell is fire.
      Also it’s interesting that the rich man NEVER asked to be removed from hell. He asked for water because he wanted to be in Hell, he chose hell, he just didn’t like the unfortunate circumstance of hell. While he asked that his family be warned not to come to this “place of torment”, he himself didn’t plead to leave.
      It’s the unfortunate circumstance of a mind away from God. A mind burdened and slaved to sin.

      I’m Muslim and the Quran has never been changed and still remains the same religious scripture since it’s creation and so I am not familiar with most these issues like the translation being lost in time due to thousands of alterations/variations of the religious books like the Bible being made. But look he was saying in the video it could be metaphorical since the Quran sometimes does use metaphors I get that part and it could mean something other then tangible (burning/fire) and needing actual (water/liquids) and could be any kind of suffering like going through death non stop like idk getting shot to death then right after getting stabbed then right after having lava poured on u then the next for all eternity and the single drop of water could be a second of salvation from that wether it be a pause before having to return to that never ending cycle or it could be more mental were u witness your loved ones being tortured and u wish them a second of peace aka single drop a water or your in an empty void for eternity and have gone past crazy from boredom after just a few hours and wish for a single drop a entertainment aka water and any other type of variations of suffering and form of “water” that could ease that suffering if even jus a single drop or second I hope that helps and makes it a little easier to put in perspective since none of us truly know what hell is like it’s just about how it’s interpreted

Usually when I hear preachers talk, it’s extremely easy to dismiss their rhetoric and only take away the moral goodness that they talk about. However, this man talks about Christianity in a way I’ve never heard it talked about before. I’m very intrigued, and while I may not believe in Christianity as it is commonly presented, I am not opposed to the idea of an afterlife and the stories of the bible were ultimately founded on some level of truth, likely lost through translation and analogy.

Your relationship with the Holy Spirit is founded on God’s Word and is not a set of rituals that you must follow. Religious actions don’t save you. A relationship with Jesus Christ does. When Jesus said "I am the light", he is more than a 100-watt bulb, LITERALLY. because he is "as bright as the midday sun" that made John fell down like a dead man, LITERALLY.
    When Jesus said "thrown into fiery furnace, where they will cry and gnash their teeth" that was literal.
    If what you meant by 'destroyed' is to 'vanish', then you are making it look like going to heaven is optional. Optional whether you want to live the best eternal life in heaven, or the best temporary life on earth. Well I guess this is what they say, "you can't have the best of both worlds". Biblically, "you can't serve two masters at a time"
    God's mercy is available now. Grab it while you can. This is the chance, this is the time, because there is no more chance once you die. God would sacrifice his only begotten son for us to be saved because he knows how terrible it will be to go to hell. If bad people will just vanish, then it is not worth it for God to die on the cross, and there will be no enough reason for a sinner to give up their wicked ways.
    This pastor talks well and defends the bible well. I like hearing his conversations with other people, and I've learned a lot from him, but saying this is a big mistake.
    You guys, read your own bible and have a relationship with God for you to be able to discern what's good, and what's bad. What's for him, and what's against him.

    When I was younger, I had to have multiple surgeries all bc I had an appendectomy gone wrong. I was very close to death. During one of those surgeries, I apparently started to drift away. I don't remember exactly what happened, but I remember a little still to this day, and people there told me what I was speaking to them about during the procedure. I was telling them that it was so dark and cold, I knew there was someone in the dark with me, but I couldn't see them in the beginning. Then, all of a sudden, I saw flames light the dark, and it wasn't as cold. My cousin passed away a few years before this (he was my best friend), and he was with me crying and apologizing, asking for me to forgive him and for my family to forgive him. He told me to get out of there. After a moment, there was this incredible bright white light, and I went from being consumed by anxiety to being calm...the monitors apparently were going crazy and then calmed down. I remember seeing the beautiful light and red rose petals falling. The doctors started laughing when I said, "My papaw said he is going to whip your ass if you hurt me." My mother said they thought I was relaying a message from a living relative. I wanted to stay there with him. Once my mom let them know who my papaw was and that he was passed, they decided to wrap up the procedure as fast and as safe as they could so they could wake me up.
    This clip and the talk about hell brings this to my mind. Hell was dark, cold, lonely, but there was fire. I was in the 7th/8th grade when this all happened. I'm 36 now, and I still remember what I saw. If it wasn't for my mom, I would not remember what I was speaking of.

      Revelation 14:11 only refers to smoke of torment rising forever, not the actual torment. Assuming it's not just a metaphor or assuming it's not referring to a moment other than the final punishment, the fire's evidence via smoke will never fade, but that doesn't mean the people burnt up will remain alive forever, especially if they are unsaved without access to the tree of life in the heavenly city / the incorruptible bodies granted by victory in Jesus Christ.
      The fire of God always consumes people. Never preserves them. The fire was made for the devil and his angels. Humans are destroyed there, not persevered. Cremated.
      Jesus (and the apostles and the Psalmist) can all state very clearly God will destroy the lost (annihilationism) in hell.
      The Bible teaches the lost will stand before God and then suffer proportionally for their sins in hell and then be annihilated (John 3.16 = perish, be destroyed).
      That is the punishment. Death, destroyed, etc. And how long will this destruction last?
      Forever, it is eternal punishment.

      Galatians 6:8-"...from that nature will reap destruction..."
      Psalm 92:7-"...it is that they (i.e. all evil doers) shall be destroyed forever"

    @dennissolokhin5058 Před 7 měsíci +23

    I was an atheist for many years and the issue of hell always turned me away from Christianity. I used to wonder why can't God just not send us to hell? But if God were to just leave us alone and not punish us for our immoral deeds he would be a bad judge even by the standards of a court on earth. If I knew my neighbor raped and murdered someone, ignoring it and not calling the police would make me guilty as well. So God cant just leave us alone to keep on sinning as he is perfect and cannot tolerate imperfection. I also used to think that eternal punishment for finite sin was unjust but because God is infinite and not limited by the constraints of time(which he created) to Him our sins are happening over and over every second. Doesn't matter if you murdered someone yesterday or 80 years ago, it's still just as bad. Also because we are created in God's image, our souls are eternal(the Bible doesn't explicitly say anything about annihilation so we can't be sure if its a possibility or not). Like they were talking about in the video, we don't know exactly what hell will be like. Knowing that God is a fair judge many Christians speculate that there will be various degrees of punishment for the offenses committed(similar to the various rewards people will receive in heaven). It wouldn't make sense for someone who only told a few lies in their life to be burning right next to the murderers. So non-existence would be a more desirable outcome as God can't let us keep on sinning eternally.
    Ultimately, Hell is the place/state of being that God designated for those who reject Him and don't want anything to do with Him. God knew that true love could only exist if there is free will(otherwise we'd be like programmed robots). If I love someone but they insist on distancing themselves from me, the loving thing to do is let them go, not lock them up in a room and force them to love me. So God made us in his image, and gave us total free will. If we insist on being separated from him then he will honor our decision. Because we are made like God, we desire to be God, our natural sinful instinct is to selfishly seek praise for ourselves and we want to decide what is right and wrong. We reject God's laws because we like how sin makes us feel but also because we don't like being told what to do. But for those who desire to be reconciled with God, Jesus(being God in human form) took our punishment and paid our fine in God's court so he can legally let us go. Then on top of that he gives us a new heart that no longer desires sin. Now unlike other religions where you need to try your hardest to be a good person, it becomes easy for the true follower of Christ because sin loses it's appeal once you taste something a million times better(and yes sadly there are people who claim to be Christian but continue sinning intentionally, Christ warns against these people and these individuals will be worse off than even the ones who reject God). And only when free from sin can we experience true love, peace, and joy :)

      Im sorry what? Your logic doens't add up at all and your excuse for god is even worse, like Quite bad actually. As you said there is something EXTREMELY messed up with the concept of eternal punishment for finite amount of damage you can do or "sin" but then you make some nonsense excuse that god doesn't perceive time that was so its ok for him to punish you for eternity? No that is RIDICULOUS. How is it that an all powerful god EVEN WHEN INTERACTING WITH US CAN ACKNOWLEDGE TIME AS A THING BUT SOMEHOW FAIL TO GRASP IT WHEN IT COMES TO PUNISHING US. This is just you making stuff up, you have no proof of this, but you're just going through your own mental gymnastics to justify the absurdity to the concept which still doesn't even remotely make sense or add up at all, it sounds like more made up human ideas.

    I was in a room that was so dark that I couldn't see even a little light.
    Then, two men approached me. The other one grabbed my wrist. And I cried and fell to my knees in so much pain that the part he touched seemed to burn to the core of my bones. When a particularly powerful being dies, their 'tether' for their soul basically becomes a god and the 'catalyst' of their sould receeds into nonexistence. The physical Bible was written under the council of Nicaea, overseen by emperor Constantine I (the first) of the Byzantine empire, which formed shortly subsequent to the collapse of the greater Roman Empire. So it could be possible to have _literal_ fire and darkness simultaneosly in a literal physical Hell (I don't necessarily believe that, I'm merely playing devil's advocate, for lack of a better term.)

      The point is that the man in this life was "satisfied" with everything he had... With his "abundance" of food/drink

    It’s a way of describing what separation from God feels like and not that there will be physical fire. Therefore describing it as fire is a metaphor.

      Its hard to say what awaits on the other side. Once you die, your body will rot. All of your organs which once gave you life, will rot, including your brain. Therefore heaven and hell are incomprehensible. However I do believe what ever awaits us on the next side will be better, I think of it as a fetus in the womb. It is alive, but knows nothing of the world which it will be born into. If a baby in the womb doesn’t develop properly it could be born blind, missing a limb, deaf, etc, all of which will heavily impact its life. We must develop spiritually in order to be prepared for the world to come.

      Hell is for those who haven’t accepted Jesus as their Lord and savior. Jesus is the way the truth and the life and no one goes to the father (God the father) except through him(John 14:6). He lived the perfect life and had no sin but out of love he still choose to die on the cross for our sin. Everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. And God is holy and righteousness and no one with sin can be in his presence and because God is righteous he judges those who have sinned against him. This is why we need Jesus and by accepting Jesus as Lord his sacrifice and blood give us atonement for our sins so that they can be forgiven and be reconnected with God and allowed into heaven. Hell is facing Gods wrath (the lake of fire) and haveing eternal separation from him and heaven is for those who believe in Jesus and accept him as Lord for the forgiveness of sins so that they can be reconciled and in heaven with God for eternity. You can either put your faith in Jesus and accept him as Lord and savior or die in your sins without forgiveness and go to hell. It is either one or the other. I pray that you will come to know Jesus and ask him into your heart and receive the holy spirit and the forgiveness of sins and grace if you haven’t already.

    • @grizzlymac-tight
      @grizzlymac-tight Před 8 měsíci +3

      @jesuslovesyou6625 I'm Muslim. Hell is a literal blazing fire. The prophet muhammad upon whom be peace taught his disciples that the fire of hell is 70 times hotter than the fire of this life. "70" in the qur'an is usually used to mean "many" instead of just 70. Upon hearing this, the disciples said basically "oh prophet, the fire of this life would have been hot enough", and the prophet said but it was 70 times hotter. And the prophet taught that the dwellers of hell will say that if the fire of hell were only as hot as the fire of this life, they would be able to get some sleep!
      And Allah mentioned in chapter 67 of the qur'an: Verse 7-8
      "When they are thrown into it, they hear from it a [dreadful] inhaling while it boils up."
      "It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?""
      And before the inhabitants of hell are thrown into it, just a tiny breeze of the heat of the fire of hell will cause those destined for it to say that there must be a mistake, this punishment is far too great.
      And the paradise has been forbidden to those who associate partners with God. Jesus his messenger! Jesus worshipped God did he not? Then why are u deluded?
