    Loving the Tsuk Double. Haven't seen that in ages! Mexicans did really well her. Paseka was so genuinely happy for Afan and praying for her before the Amanar. What a cool chick.

    Of course not all the juniors are going to be age-eligible for the whole of this quad. Same with Russia.
    Ohashi will be back next year. And Kocian is in the mix this year as well, I'd forgotten entirely about her.
    The Gymnastics Coaching blog has a list of the highest scores for AA and each event so far this year. US has seven gymnasts in the top 12 AA, and Russia has two, three when Komova comes back.

      I know! I love how people got so excited for Russia having the possibility of having 3 Amanars, but they don't know that one year is a long time for gymnastics. Right, Rien ? LOL.

    • @dexmor6742
      @dexmor6742 Před 9 lety

      Rien Hahaha, Rein! You think that Russia lost in London because they only have 2 Amanars? So, Paseka's OOB, huge step to the side wasn't the cause? Or maybe, Mustafina's wobbles on beam? Or maybe, Grishina's incomplete tumbling pass? Or maybe, Afanaseyva falling on her head on her final pass? So, according to you, having 2 Amanars was the reason Russia lost? Rein, either you are the dumbest person I have ever talk to or you biases gets in the way of your judgment. Either way, it's pathetic.
      "continued...So if you did rough averages, US VT: 15.8 UB 14.9 BB: 15.0 (pushing it) FX ( 15.1) Russia VT: 15.5 UB: 15.5 BB: 15.4 FX: 14.9. Obviously a very rough estimation, but assuming noone is going to change dramatically in the next year, Russia will be the one to beat. We all know they didnt have the edge in 2012 because they didnt have 3 amanars. But now they do, and they have an AMAZING beam worker so they won't have use someone like Afan on beam." -says Rein
      The funniest comment I have ever read so far from you! Hahaha!!! By the way, where are those Amanars that you're bragging about? Russia barely has one Amanar, and the sad thing is, Paseka is inconsistent galore.

      De Yu Speaking of Amanar's remember Nabieva's Attempt of a TTY in 2009 and got a 14.900 or when Alexandrov protested against Nabi's vault in 2010 (Amanar) You really got both vaults downgraded? Really? (15.700 + 15.800) Ahh! Some good times!

    Traditionally, scores are not so high at minor competitions. On worlds, the same vault could get something like 14.55. Also, don't forget about fact that this vault has 2 tenths less difficulty since 2013. So, marks are OK.

  • @011cra
    @011cra Před 11 lety

    yeah, I'm really happy for her. I really want to see her at worlds so her improving her amanar improves her chances at making it at least because of vault. She's no Maroney but definitely a medal contender.

  • @violaroadkill
    @violaroadkill Před 11 lety

    (continued) Priessman (assuming she recovers from her injury) also has an Amanar, but I'm not sure what her other events are like at the moment.
    Paseka's Amanar is incredibly messy, and Afan's is nowhere near the Americans', but it's new, she'll improve by Worlds.
    Regarding USA juniors - there's also Amelia Hundley, and Nica Hults on UB & BB. No idea about the others, although apparently Laurie Hernandez is very good.

    It's so weird seeing the SV for an amanar only being 6.3 and not 6.5

  • @violaroadkill
    @violaroadkill Před 11 lety

    I'm not a fan of American gymnastics, I support the Russians. But Mustafina was barely able to get the Amanar aruond pre-ACL tear, and Valentina Rodionenko is always full of hot air. Maroney's only needed on two events, Biles and Ross are amazing AA-ers, Dowell has an Amanar and an incredible bars set. Mykayla Skinner won't be any use internationally until she cleans up her form.

  • @beautitudes
    @beautitudes Před 11 lety

    Maroney would have had this comp in the bag

  • @violaroadkill
    @violaroadkill Před 11 lety

    Ross has lower difficulty but far better form than anyone else in the world at the moment, and she's consistent. If Mustafina hits though, she should win AA this year. But the US has far more depth and increasing D scores, whereas Russia is mostly where they were last year, except for Nabs coming back and Afan's Amanar. I'm not saying that Russia couldn't win gold again, but they'll have to be near perfect & rely on mistakes from USA for it to happen.

  • @violaroadkill
    @violaroadkill Před 11 lety

    Mustafina won't have a TTY, she hasn't even got her Amanar back yet. And the new US seniors are pretty amazing this year, way better than Bross was back in 09. Maroney, Biles and Dowell all have Amanars. I wish Russia was the team to beat, but it'll be USA for the next couple of years at least.

  • @Davylp
    @Davylp Před 11 lety

    I agree. But in the long run it doesn't matter if Russia is amazing now. The Olympics are 3 years away. Who want's to peak now? Russia always has had the potential but they always let it slip somehow. I like good competitions when all teams are at their best so it makes for a great show, instead of one team doing the best while everyone else messes up.

  • @RieLovesVballll
    @RieLovesVballll Před 11 lety

    Continued...Laurie as amazing but not eligible next year. Nica is decent but is committed to UCLA so she wont be around for the olympics. The US would be fine if they had 3 decent bar workers but they dont, not even in the juniors. Also to answer your question to 011cra, komova and Nabs have their amanars. Everyone thought Rodio was crazy about Afans amanar, look how that turned out. Im not saying Musty will throw it, but itd be a total game changer and something to keep in mind.

  • @011cra
    @011cra Před 11 lety

    Woah!! The USA better watch out! Russia is back! With ksenia's vault, that means russia now has 3 amanar's and a potential 4th from mustafina who had an amanar in 2010 when she was world champion before her acl tear

  • @usagymnastics9375

  • @violaroadkill
    @violaroadkill Před 11 lety

    Komova has her Amanar back? I didn't know that. Nabs' Amanar was always disgusting, so is her DTY, so I wouldn't count on that scoring well. Paseka hasn't really improved her form since last year & she's wildly inconsistent as well. And saying "Afan is working on an Amanar" isn't the same sort of claim as "Mustafina will throw a TTY in one month's time".

  • @colormyworld249
    @colormyworld249 Před 11 lety

    on the amanar

  • @RieLovesVballll
    @RieLovesVballll Před 11 lety

    Yup. Yea Nabs' was horrid! But an amanar is an amanar. I think Paseka is much better. The only reason she failed miserably at Euros was because it was a stupid last minute decision and she had not warmed it up all week. As I recall it was "Afan has an amanar" and back in what june? "Musty will debut a TTY at worlds" 5 months away. Regardless, if we add Price to the US team next year and Kharenkova to the Russian, the US has a few tenths on VT and FX, but Russia has full points on UB and BB.

  • @RieLovesVballll
    @RieLovesVballll Před 10 lety

    That is a big assumption because there have been team comps so there is nothing to base that off. What if Biles were to perform like she did at Classics? The US wouldnt even medal. All I was saying that if everyone performed their best, hands down Russia and China would be top two.

  • @RieLovesVballll
    @RieLovesVballll Před 10 lety +1

    What tends to happen is Biles chokes during competition. You cannot assume that won't happen, but it will to the Russians, and not be biased. You just did it again. Saying you can't assume Komova will win because she is inconsistent, but Biles will be grow and be perfect even though she fell in Germany, fell how many times at Classics, fell at the Scam cup, and had a major error at nationals. That is a double standard!

  • @RieLovesVballll
    @RieLovesVballll Před 11 lety

    The amount of scandal surrounding the Olympics makes it even with a WC to me. Do I respect Paul Hamm for winning the AA in 2004 more than in 03 just because it was the Olympics? No. Since 2000, only 1 out of the 12 AA medalists was a first yr senior. Bondareva and Kuzmina are only 14 which is were Musty was. Remember that the Russian program is only 12 years old (1992), whereas the American one is about 40 (1970). Took the US 14 yrs to get their first world medal. Russia will catch up soon

  • @ghostshell30
    @ghostshell30 Před 11 lety

    USA is not scared of russia and plus ksenia amanar and maria amanar is not like Maroney amanar. Maroney amanar is unbelieveable. Mustafina might not do the amanar anymore, that lot of twisting she has to do over and over again for practice.USA has simon biles that has same vault like maroney too. USA is not intimidated by russians at all.

  • @011cra
    @011cra Před 11 lety

    but you see here is the thing. With 3 amanar's The USA's lead over them on vault will only be minimal as opposed tp olympic games.USA and Russia are both Equal on both the Beam and Floor. However Don't forget the USA's weakness the Uneven bars! Russia is absolutely dominate on that over the USA and as far as i've seen that dominance on bars will remind. Russia has the reigning world and olympic champ on bars. the USA doesn't even have a a bronze medalist let alone a gold medalist on bars.

  • @Davylp
    @Davylp Před 11 lety

    Mustafina is no where near doing an amanar. hell naw! her twisting has gotten worse.

  • @RieLovesVballll
    @RieLovesVballll Před 11 lety

    Idk if you are talking about this year or next. Dowell wont go to world's this year. And an incredible bar set means 15.5+ which is ridiculous for her. Ross is a mediocre AAer. I hope you arent basing your judgement of her on nationals with her ridiculous over scoring. And there is an entire year before team worlds! You honestly think that Paseka and Afan arent going to improve at all? They will be right up there. Hundley is useless, all she can do is vault which 80 other americans can I do.

  • @RieLovesVballll
    @RieLovesVballll Před 11 lety

    No offense but the whole world knows that Russia is the team to beat. This year, Russia has the a team with a combined 12 individual medals. The USA has 1 only if Maroney goes, and we all know how the new US seniors fare against the vets...cough cough Bross 09. And Russia has some amazing juniors, Karenkova, Bondeareva, Kuzmina Dimitrieva, Rodionova. The US has none. Also Mustafina is set to debut a TTY at Worlds, meaning next year, Russia will have a significant lead on vault and bars.

  • @RieLovesVballll
    @RieLovesVballll Před 11 lety

    Thats irrelevant. Many gymnasts go from a full straight to a double. The seniors are far from amazing. Look at it objectively, not as a fan of American gymnastics because then they will always be the best regardless of reality. Biles is good as an AAer and vault, but thats all. Maroney is good, but again only on two events. Dowell is not impressive. They have no good juniors besides Key. Watch some videos of the Romanian and Russian juniors and youll see that USA has a lot of ground to make up.

  • @RieLovesVballll
    @RieLovesVballll Před 10 lety

    Then so will the Russians. I don't care who you think will win, I could make cases for any of the big 4, my point is simply that it is not fair to state that Biles will improve but the Russians will stay exactly the same.

  • @RieLovesVballll
    @RieLovesVballll Před 10 lety

    Complete double standard. Biles will improve, but Russia will stay the same?! Come on now, be objective to both teams, don't just assume the best of your favorite team, and the worst of its rivals. Seriously now...Assuming the best of everyone, Russia wins. Sorry.
