You nailed it.
He could market that.
Thompson’s form kinda reminds me of Joseph Fahnbulleh where he bounds across the track. It’s weird cause it doesn’t seem like it should work, but it just does, and it’s scary how fast he’s becoming. Can’t wait to keep seeing him improve!
Exactly. More so than asfa
I can definitely see that. That weird head movement is unique for sure. Physique plays a big part in the similarities as well.
I thought the exact same
He takes little strides with long legs
That heavy lean and sitting through the hips allows him to have an insanely high stride rate. It’s weird to me because while it is successful for some, he’s nearly the exact weight and height of bolt and yet this technique is mainly used for shorter runners like Coleman. But hey, he’s found some way to make it work to become the 9th fastest all time and with that, his start is basically better than bolt’s on most occasions, so who would I or anyone else be to say that he should try to run a different way

KIshane didn't close in that diamond league race from last year. He was right behind Coleman from the start he had a 60m split of 6.40 and Coleman 6.38. It just looks like he's closing because he was in lane 10 so the angle makes it seem that way. That's what makes Kishane so dangerous he has a great start and can hold his speed.

Jacobs hasn't been in the conversation for 4 years. Lyles is the current world champion. Sure you can say Jacobs currently has the crown (of Olympic gold), but I would be surprised if he makes the finals in Paris.
Jacob’s not even making the semis 😂😂😂
@@oranelarmond9317don't read to reply, read to understand, he said Noah is the defending champion and I corrected him and said Jacobs is the defending champion, do you understand now?
Noah has the advantage of consistency and nerves at big meets (slightly), but this brotha is on another level of “brute” speed. He popped out of those blocks like a charging lion and thats supposed to be his weakness, then coasted in at 9.91 in head wind against a top end long sprinter like Tebogo - who could steal the show in the 200….bro is the real deal!
That’s true and honestly Noah isn’t an “insane” 100m runner. This hype is kinda silly as Kishane will likely smoke lyles, however tebogo rarely tries in meets like these so ur statement about him staying ahead of tebogo late really has no validity.

This young - Kishane Thompson , is no joke. It's time for fresh talent. Let's face it, how many athletes are running 9.77? Anyone who will challenge him will have to top their speed beyond their personal best to beat him. It isn't hard to see that this man is the favorite for gold by current performances. All the best to all the athletes out there working hard.
But these aren't robots. They are human beings. It is whoever can perform on one specific day. He is fast but he is also injury prone. Hope he stays healthy. Many things can factor in mental and physical. We will have a great race.
@@sports2hedz542 , the question asked was not about injury or other factor, it was about who currently stand as favorite base on performances. We all know things can happen by then and on the day, but, the performances of this young man makes him the natural favorite for gold. Hands down.

Another underrated performance from this meet in Hungary was De Grasse’s 19.98. In 2021 prior to the Olympics, the fastest De Grasse had run was 19.97 (with slightly better wind) at the exact same meet. His 100m SB right now is also almost identical as his pre-Olympic 2021 time, only 0.01 slower. Many people have been writing off De Grasse this year, but he’s shown himself to be in essentially identical form as in 2021 when he won gold in the 200m, bronze in the 100m, and silver in the 4x100m.
I was at the Canadian trials and people write him off because of his SB but he himself looks calm and collected about it I think he has everything under control and we will certainly see some fast times from him
hopefully he will win the gold!!
Andre DeGrasse ALWAYS perform when it's important... People forget that Andre was the original heir apparent to Usain Bolt
Won't be enough for the 200m, Kenny and Lyles ran faster than his PRs at the trials he's cooked
He will have to go somewhere he's never put his body before to win the 200M possible but unlikely he might medal but win well..... There is 1 scenario were he stands a chance. If Noah reacts himself in the 100M trying to win then he has a fair chance.

Crazy that Kishane has room to improve. His form seems raw. If he can tweak it he may be even faster.
Kishane is the obvious favourite. I expect a sub 9.74 for the winner. If he stays healthy he will obliterate the competition with a ridiculous time.
Kishane (Tigger❤) is going to Jaminate 🇯🇲at the Paris Olympics 2024!!! I guarantee he will run a sub 9.70!!!!! 🙌🏾🇯🇲🥇❤️🚀
The way the dude is built he kinda HAS to have a lot of muscle to move his frame that quickly. Bolt wasn't exactly a rain thin guy either though his leg and arm length sometimes made it look that way. But Thompsons built with a broad chest that causes massive wind resistance. He's got to be able to power through it. In fact that may well be his most limiting factor, his chest is always going to be wide as hell and causing him to slow down, then you add in the extra muscle he needed to gain to attempt to offset it and in doing so adding even more wind resistance but spread out more evenly. He's clearly not running full bore for all these races lately, so he's definitely got sub 9.7 speed in that frame. Honestly he's probably got the best chance, of the current crop of world famous names anyway, to get closest to Bolt. 9.58 is crazy fast, but this guy IS extraordinary. He may be able to challenge it within the next 6-8 years. He still hasn't even gotten his adult muscles fully in and beat into shape yet. Most runners get faster and faster up until their late 20's, some into their mid 30's. What age can do for muscle conditioning is something that nothing but time can create for you. Which is why I've no doubt Erriyon Knighton will be absolutely unstoppable in the 200m within a few short years. He will likely smash right past Noah's times and challenge Bolts. Never underestimate the aging process when it comes to a young adult becoming a fully developed adult.
i'll push back on that last part..seldom do you see juniors translate their potential to the senior level. There is such a thing as maximal efficiency..which translates "as fast as your body will allow you to get". even with nutrition, weight training, speed training, and proper physio treatment, most juniors don't get "faster and faster" as you put it..thru losing or injury or desire they drop off

Well to answer that question I have to say Noah Lyles is the favorite for me. Here's why Noah is the defending champion in the 100 meters, he is the most confident I've ever seen any sprinter with the exception of Bolt and in and I guarantee nobody wants it as bad as Noah. The last three years he has performed best on the biggest stages. So with that being said.. I think Noah will win and break his personal best in 9.8 seconds.
Kishane runs 9.72

He is not the defending champion... he is the wolrd champion. The defending olymoic champion is jacobs. Lyles might not even medal.
If he loses that wobble....unstoppable.
Thompson will break the world record
I hope Kishane ain't JUICEANE
Well nobody knows. We know about Erriyon Knighton tho
Oh but he is!!!
@@gordon2945 Just like your boyfriend, Noah Lyles.
he is, just like everyone else
@@Pothead888 Sounds like you're projecting lol
He better get out quick because Noah is a closer too.
Oh please! Noah's PB of 9.83 won't even medal. He needs to come better than that to even have a chance of getting the Bronze lol
Kishane has been working on his start. It's much improved.
Bro,this guy has grown big😢
7:53 not every kenyan sprinter with muscles is omanyala😭😭
