Hate Crime Awareness Week

This #HateCrimeAwarenessWeek Superintendent Andy Bennett has an important message to share with you. Watch this video below for more information on what we consider to be a #hatecrime to be and where you can find help if you are a victim of hate crime.
We recognise the importance of working together with our communities to build trusting and lasting relationships, and encourage more people to seek help from us when they need it.
This is why throughout Hate Crime Awareness Week, we will be coming together with members of communities across Bristol to translate Andy’s message into a number of different languages.
Staff and officers from Avon and Somerset Police will be working with members of communities to translate, edit, and film this video into languages which resonate with those most affected by hate crime. These videos will be shared with partner organisations and communities in the weeks following Hate Crime Awareness Week, with the aim of empowering more people to speak up against hate.
