Great reaction. Glad someone finally noticed this video. Vinny is super cool, and loves Liliac. He loves Melody's singing and her inspiration is Ronnie. Wendy Dio asked them to do a video for The Last in Line - Liliac (Dio Cancer Fund Tribute), and Vinny gave them a version of the song that was never sung live. They are a family band consisting of 3 brothers and 2 sisters. They are totally independent and do everything themselves. Shooting, mixing, and editing are all done by the family. They are pretty young in some of the video's, but don't let that fool you. They were born to do this, cutting their teeth on the Santa Monica Pier for several years. Well I could go on forever, but I'm sure their music will speak for itself. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to future reactions. Rock on and Rock hard!

Waayyy back then…I was 15 and on the front center, nobody between me and the space before the stage, sounded just like the record
Van Halen comes out like amphetamine fast music
Then sabbath just comes on stage and delivers quaalude 714 music, a real contrast, sabbath ruled the evening

So at this show Melody was asked to come up and sing 5 songs with them and I believe she sang: Holy Diver, Rainbow In the Dark, Last In Line, and she sang Heaven and He'll a version I have not heard before. There is a really good quality phone video of her singing Heaven and He'll with them I would have to go back and find it. When I find it I will let you know.
Hey, it was a fluke that I caught you. Good reaction. I asked Dr OMEB (guitar) if they were going to release any more good audio and he said it's up to the boss. Lol I love seeing MeloDia with Vinny. At age 16 she found DIO and is her main inspiration. She describes seeing Vinny at the Sawtooth zChromecast booth at Nan I think 2019. She ran up to him and gave him a hug. Vinny requested her to sing 5 songs at this show. I think they do this every year in Kentucky. Vinny loves her and Liliac. He has said many times that she is a reincarnation of a female DIO. For fun check out GoDpsLive app and look up Batio-Appice-Sarzo-Cristia. They did 7 sings live in studio with one of them Liliacs Nothing. Liliac in the beginning busked on the Santa Monica pier for 5 to 6 years learning and developing their craft. If you watch their Crazy Train video it gives you the feel of what they did every weekend back then. They have the Chain of Thorns EP and Queen of Hearts album. I have both on cd and vinyl. They are fully independent and do everything themselves. We, the Fangs, support them as much as we can being their lable for now. Anything DIO, MeloDia and Liliac takes us to church. Liliac does a very good Holy Diver, Rainbow in the Dark, The Last In Line, and Paranoid covers as well as great originals such as Mars (Live in Cumming GA), We are the Children, and Dear Father.

LILIAC is a sibling band like no other. Many covers and about to release their third album of originals. They are totally independent and so far have refused to sign to the money grubbing corporate music industry. You will never be blocked because they encourage reactors like your self to help them promote their band. their official music videos produced totally by their Dad and themselves. Pick any song cover or original and you will be glad you did. Melody Cristea is with out a doubt my favorite singer of today and just turned twenty years old.
Liliac doesn't shut reactors down on YT (strikes), as they actually enjoy good reactors, so Let er Rip Tater Chip!

On the other hand if you go to Lilliac's CZcams page go into the "Shorts" and you can find her singing these 5 different songs: Rock n Roll Children was her lastest Dio cover, Then "Running With The Wolf" Dio cover, "Light In The Black" Rainbow Cover and "Die Young" love the way she sings this Black Sabbath cover really all of them.
Great reaction Melody is a big Ronnie James Dio fan to the point Vinny Appici gave her the name Melodio. And Wendy Dio asked Liliac to do the Last in Line for the Ronnie James Dio cancer fundraiser and Vinny Apiece gave them an unreleased version for fundraiser.
Liliac is amazing! They do covers and originals. Independent family band and they do everything themselves. As far as Vinny Appice, he loves them as does Dio's wife Wendy Dio, in fact Wendy Dio personally requested Liliac to perform The Last In Line for Ronnie James Dio's Cancer Fundraiser.
You are correct that we do not dress up like Black Sabbath. Vinny was explicit that he didn’t want costumes or any gimmicky stuff because we aren’t a “tribute band”, because there’s ‘blood in the band’. Thanks for listening.

liliac does great covers and greater originals. covers-rainbow in the dark, last in line, holy diver, master of puppets, originals- mars , we are the children, mystery, nothing. you wont regret anything they play. they are a family band that truely rocks

The family says that both pronunciations of their name is acceptable. Thanks for your background about B.S., it helps when a Reactor knows what they're talking about...NOT EVER taking away from Reactors who don't know the original but it sure does help. Melodia, is what she calls herself after Vinny first nicked her the name of Melo-Dio, has a one of a kind voice that I personally love hearing from a female vocalist. Can't wait til you React to their newest "Close My Eyes Forever" BUT they have originals that are simply mind-blowing kick ass as well!! HINT: Do an original next. Thanks

Vinny Appice has repeatedly called Melody Cristea a female reincarnated Ronnie James Dio. He even nicknamed her MeloDio which she then changed to MeloDia which apparently means Melody in Romania where their father was born.
Yes melodia means melody in Romanian, and both of their parents were born in Romania, not just dad.
