Does It Work? Instant Shudder Fixx Review & My Experience

- After buying a car that was seemingly fine until going up hills made me suspect a potential torque converter issue, I decided to first look at the various transmission fluid additives out there as a first step before I try a fluid/filter change or costly transmission work. This product from Lubegard specifically states it's to fix torque converter shudder, not slipping or any type of stop leak, and it's in a 2oz tube so you don't have to worry about overfilling your transmission compared to other products in large bottles. After reading the numerous positive reviews and the low price of the product I decided to add two tubes, show the process, talk about my specific transmission issue, and talk about what improvements I've noticed so far. You don't have much to lose so I would recommend trying a bottle before you do anything else if you find your transmission is starting to have a minor shudder problem.

I'd like to add an update that after I added the 2nd tube I haven't noticed the shudder anymore. The route I took 3-4 times prior to adding this product would cause the car to shudder multiple times each time I went that way but when I went that way again it didn't occur even once. I can't say this will fix a major problem but it did correct the shudder issue for me, at least for now, which makes this product worth a try.
Is it still holding up ?
@@jamesholland167 Yes. I haven't noticed any shudder since I added the 2nd tube.
@@Mr.Everything thank u sir . I added one already going to give another one a go
@@Mr.Everything how long can the product last?
@@nickwebb9937 I've read some reviews saying it's been working for years and saw another one that said it lasted for 2 years and then the shudder came back so they added another tube and it went away again. Depending on how many miles you put on the car, you might need to change the fluid and filter before it wears off and then I'd suggest not adding in any more of this with new transmission fluid unless the shudder comes back.
Worked unreal for me. Ford Taurus felt like driving on rumble strips at 2000 rpm’s. Only for a second or 2. I work and Coach sports all in same town. A lot of start and stops with vehicle as I rarely leave my town.
I tried the product 3 weeks ago. 5 min after I put product in I drove around town and the shudder went away instantly. Still going strong. Very grateful!
What year taurus? I have a 97 ax4n in a SHO that shudders like a mfkr.
This product solved the shutter problem I had with my 2015 Ford f150. I typically don’t believe in additives but decided to give this a try based on reviews. So far it seems to be working great 👍
I'm not sure how these small tubes can make a huge improvement in a transmission but this has to be the most legit "fix in a bottle" I've ever used. Since adding 2 tubes last year I haven't had any shudder since.
They told me I needed a new transmission. It's been over a year and this stuff worked ! I have a 2013 explorer!
Thanks Mr Everything,, 👌going to be trying it. 😎
Yes yes yes yes get it ASAP 2010 Toyota Tacoma 294221 miles and it worked instantly.
Good advice, thank
I remember a couple years back I had the same issue with my 1994 crown vic, I changed the fluid and filter and went back with a quart of Lucas, night and day difference
So far this seems to have helped in a few areas it would shudder at but the next time I take one of the hilly back roads I should know for sure if it helped. Otherwise that will be my next step to change the fluid and filter.
Put that product in my Expedition just YESTERDAY and it's working great all day today! Will let you know if it stops working.
Unlike a lot of other cars the fix for a crown vic or grand marquis that has worked every time on these is a power flush! It's about 150.00 but works on this transmission every time!!
It's like buying the wife $10 of tacos to see if it makes her happy... much cheaper than a $100 an hour marriage counselor. 🤪🤣 I mean that's how I sell it to my customers at the shop.😉👍
I’ll be trying this on my 96 Lincoln town car. AOD, and AODE transmissions commonly experience delayed shifting and shudders. J-mod helps a lot with the delayed shifts. Hopefully this stuff helps with the shudders my torque converter has. My fluid is squeaky clean so hopefully there’s not much wear and tear inside. Nice video
I have a 1995 lincoln mark viii, mine had a pretty bad shudder, I threw this stuff in and it hasn’t shuddered once in the last 2 drives, it was shuddering consistently before.
I have a 96 Chevrolet engine that started stuttering at certain points, put a tube of that in it at 212,000 miles and haven’t had any problems since. They key to using that stuff is to catch it early and follow the instructions on the bottle.
I’m at 260,000 miles and haven’t had any problems or added another tube since the first time.
I didn't think it would solve my problem but after the 2nd tube it completely went away and hasn't done it since.
i used the anti slip to help with shift smoothness and heat management on an old transmission.. it workded :)
gonna try this and hope the shudder goes away. Thanks for the info.
I added this on my 06 Tacoma 237k miles the shudder was bad 30-50mph low rpm , I added 2 packs 4oz & after 50 miles the shudder is completely gone
I removed 5qt of old oil replace it with new 5qt and added 1 lubeguard and my shudder went away hopefully stay that way on my 2018 ford transit passenger van
lucas anti shudder additive is better than this product?
Hi there,, dus it really work??
I used it myself in my Jeep dosent help shuddering much but seemed to make it shift more smoothly
How you fix the shuddering ? I have a jeep the same problems
Thanks for the video. Is that product safe for a cvt engine?
No it says to not use in a cvt or dct transmission
mazda cx9 2008. The mileage of the car is 210 thousand miles. The gearbox had a changed gearbox oil and a filter 2 years ago. The gearbox works fine. Can I pour in shudder fixx? Do we use as is the problem with the gearbox?
If there isn't any shudder I wouldn't add anything. If there is any slipping there are other products specifically for a slipping transmission. Otherwise I wouldn't add anything. I've never put an additive in a transmission before, I only did for this one since it wasn't working smoothly.
I tried it today.2013 SHO.tac was bouncing at 4th gear on..and little shudder..for weeks and weeks..put it in today and instantly worked.trans feels like new..fluid change next weekend..unreal..I'm sold.
Shudder fix is a game changer..proof today. Mine was instant and drive 30 miles...never acted up once.
I'm not sure how a few of these little tubes make such a difference but I'd have to say these are one of the only "fixes in a bottle" that actually seems to work.
@@Mr.Everything friction properties..replaced in broken down fluids.
If your trans is going it needs fixed regardless, pay up
I have a 2010 corolla can i use it on my car. Never changed the fluid. Have 261,000 miles.
@@willmidgette9079 It wouldn't hurt to try. But if you've never changed the fluid and filter that might be worth having done if the car is still worth putting some money into.
@@Mr.Everything ok thanks for the feedback. I let you know how it goes
Snake oil ?
It did fix my shudder issue completely but I can't know for sure if just adding some regular transmission fluid would have done the same. The fluid looked clean and at the right level and only 2 tubers of this eliminated the shudder so I'd say it's likely it does have some friction modifier that does work.
i had torque converter shutter while idling immediatly after getting yukon back from transmission shop (full rebuild) i put a tube of this in and shudder went away immediatly 30k miles later still no issues
I used it. It improves the shudder temporarily. It's not a fix, but I would recommend it.
@@samsunggalaxys20fe30how long did it work for you?
So far cured mine, which is crazy and I saw this looking for how
