I am not particularly handy or good at things like this, but the front trunk piece only took 20 minutes including unwrapping the shipping package. My 2018 Model 3 doesn't have the extra holes so I used your recommended double sided tape. Because I am old & fat I didn't crawl inside the trunk, but put the back seats down and was able to install the screws from that side. Great product !

You’re the first place that I’ve seen this incredible kit! It really dresses up the trunk and the frunk!

Thank you, and it helps with road noise in the back seat emanating from the trunk.

TESLA Aftermarket Accessories Will it block much of the subwoofers sound from getting through it’s speaker 🔊 grille?

Mitchell Barnow no. Low bass sound travels through fabric and in newer model 3’s have no hole for sound and they sound the same as older ones.

Were you able to finish the installation? Did it make any differences?

Did you do any before and after sound tests? Having torn down the interior of my Model 3, I'm guessing alot of noise actually travels through the battery case into the car since there is no sound insulation between the battery and the carpet. My theory is that any road vibration, makes it's way into the battery and thus, into the cabin.
I'd also love to see a kit similar to this that can be placed into the inner wheel well in the front. Lots of wind noise invades the front of the car through the wheel well and directly into the door.
IMO, Tesla really missed the mark on road noise with this car in trying to keep the weight of the vehicle down. I would have sacrificed a few miles on a charge to keep the cabin noise down.

We have our wheel well kit coming out soon, but again there is no engine or transmission or exhaust, TESLA has to live up to a higher degree or quiet. ICE cars just muffle the sounds that you hear. They really do not care about weight and they do not try to keep it down. My S is 5,000 pounds.
