I had a paralysis-like nightmare where a man was just. standing at the foot of my bed and staring at me. When I woke up, it was still dark, and I was feeling pretty freaked out. I checked the time, saw it was 6:00 on the dot. Suddenly, the sound of Kurtis chanting "6am Hotdog" popped into my head, and started running on a loop. Really calmed me down. Thanks, Kurtis 👍

my actual deepest secret is that when i was in 3rd grade i pretended that i couldn't see as well as i could and i ended up getting prescribed glasses, lying the whole way. im 18 years old now and i haven't worn glasses in years and yet, somehow, every person around me still believes im supposed to be wearing glasses. my 3rd grade self set me up for a lifetime of lying about a disability. (but in all honesty I've been truthful about all my visits since I was at least 16 so they have to have noticed I got 20/20 vision somehow between visits) my best friend and my brother are the only people who know this. so to anyone who happens to see this comment, you have become a part of a lifelong secret only three people know- or, four now, including you.... congrats
I did the same thing with hearing😭 literally was in 2nd grade and faking hearing loss because I wanted hearing aids
ah yeah I did the same thing.... regretted it really quickly and in my next few visits I gradually improved my eyesight until it was accurate and they said I just had temporarily strained it. funny thing is now many years later i wear glasses pretty much all the time. I have never ever told anyone :)
Similar story, when I was in elementary school my sister had glasses and I really wanted glasses so I lied during my eye exam. I was prescribed glasses, and from what I assume was me wearing them too much (or maybe just genetics) I actually need glasses now. So either I sabotaged myself into needing glasses or it was just meant to be.

I find this hilarious bc the exact opposite happened to me. I was around 8 years old and I swear to god I couldn't see sh!t. My teacher would get mad at me because of how slow I read and stuff. At some point my mom had to take me to an optometrist and I WISH I was joking but when I said I couldn't really see anything in the Snellen chart this doctor literally told my mom that I wasn't taking it seriously and that there was nothing wrong with my eyes. This happened a few times until I finally got to use glasses and finally SEE SOMETHING lol.
I still use them sometimes but I don't think I need them anymore ;)

My deepest darkest secret is that when I was young, I wished on the full moon that my dad would just go away and I would never have to see him again...he passed a few years later. The only way I've been able to cope with this is by making really dry dead dad jokes to unsuspecting victims. I still make wishes on the full moon, but I also the the power it holds.
