    Brings tears to my eyes,I was 14 she was 15 I’m now 75 we were separated 10 years ago by cancer and I’ve missed her every day since.

      Kees.....64 golden years....I met my lovely Mary (on a small green in Kirkby)...just as she was about to turn 16 way back I 1966.....we are now in our 70s...(I couldn't imagine life without her)....

    Met my husband when I was 15, we were married for 54 years, He passed away last year and I still love him as I loved him when I was “Sweet Sixteen “ this song always makes me weep! So sentimental!

    A song written over 100 yrs ago and made famous by one of the greatest entertainers, Al Jolson. A brilliant version by the Fureys with a wonderful banjo lead in their original. I will love this song forever.

    I remember seeing them in Perth (1994?) after I bought two tickets. I didn't have a lady at the time. I met a woman a few months later. I didn't think she'd know The Fureys. We loved their music and fell in love. The music brings back the happiness.

      It's Paul Furey on the accordion, who died in 2002. Davey Arthur isn't there at all.

      He'd left them and gone solo by this point. As of 2023 George and Eddie Furey are still touring as The Fureys. Paul Furey died in 2002.

      Who is it then, Led Zeppelin? It's George, Eddie and the late Paul Furey. Finbar had left them by this point, so you have 3 of the 4 brothers.
