He'd left them and gone solo by this point. As of 2023 George and Eddie Furey are still touring as The Fureys. Paul Furey died in 2002.
Met my husband when I was 15, we were married for 54 years, He passed away last year and I still love him as I loved him when I was “Sweet Sixteen “ this song always makes me weep! So sentimental!

I met my wife when she was 17. We’re still married now. I’m 75. By the bye, I took her to see The Fureys live in London in 1978. They were shite, no better than a bad pub band.
