  • The TCX Blend 2 boots are relatively new to the range and offer the looks of a casual boot but with all that you'd need in a motorcycle boot! Made from full-grain leather with a 'pull up' finish these look like your favourite old boots straight out of the box. As well as protection, the boots have a waterproof membrane making them fully waterproof yet breathable.

    I have the original Blend, subtly different and to be honest I prefer the sole and stitched on shifter reinforcement.
    Mine have been absolutely brilliant, so comfortable on and off the bike. On a recent motorcycle tour of Madeira my TCX boots carried me in comfort up long walking routes.

    Thanks for the review, my Dianese Cafe boots finally gave up the ghost (glue failure on the sole) after about 12 years and i dont know, 30,000kms the other day and i am considering these to replace them.

    My first pair of TCX boots were some brown TCX Hero WP that I got in like new condition for $40 off a guy that did the motorcycle coarse and found riding wasn’t for him. This was the best deal/purchase in my life. I love these boots. So comfortable I wear them for everyday shoes at times. Shift easily with them. They have the stitched sole and after 3 years of lots of wear so far, they barely show any. It’s why I bought TCX Drifter boots for the dual sport riding. Love the brand! But I should stop praising them as people are discovering them and pricing is creeping up. Still. Totally worth it!

    I have some TCX boots the drift wood. While comfy and safe the soles started separating from the leather at less than six months and got steadily worse. By the time I got round to where I brought them they were just out of warranty so TCX said no.
    Fair enough But for the amount paid I would expect them to last longer than 12 months. I am yet to contact the ACCC about it.
    The uppers are great and really comfy and supportive.
    I think most of their boots are really good but I personally would steer clear of the gum looking soles.
    The soles on the underside look hardly worn and have an excellent amount of grip. They just separate from the leather where your foot bends at the toes.

  • @user-sw2lv3zp6o
    @user-sw2lv3zp6o Před 2 lety +2

    The toes are taller than the original Blend, I think. Freddie Dobbs has a pair of the originals. They have always kept the water out. These look good, though. Don't drag your feet and don't walk far, then they'll last.

      They were brilliant until a few months ago and now the left boot lets in water. The shift protector has come unstitched which is where I suspect it’s coming in? I’ve had them nearly four years so I guess that’s not too bad

    I was a huge fan of the previous model, I still wear them a lot but unfortunately it started to let water in so I just recently got a pair of these blend 2 and I was a bit sad that they changed the looks of the boot, I much preferred the looks of the original version, but I must say these are incredibly comfortable and they do look great on the foot. Overall I'm very happy I got both versions, I take them hiking and wear them in any type of weather conditions.

    • @davebethell1
      @davebethell1 Před 2 lety

      I have some lace TCX boots, which are similar although not the same as on the review. They also have a zip on the side for easier access, however you still need to do up the laces every time. I don't find the laces become loose at all. If you think it'll be a problem you could always double knot them.
      I would really recommend TCX for comfortable, quality bike boot. Great review Tony.

    • @AMarsTheStone

      Do the military trick tie a knot at the end of each lace, tie them normally and pull to the knot, double knot, and you can either tuck them into the boot or into the front lace. My boots never came untied, they may fall out of the boot but they never came untied.
