Really none else is doing this on youtube. Great job! Not all of us want to look like power rangers
That means a lot, thank you!🙌🙌🙂
🤣🤣🤣🤣 that's a great way to put it
Facts I hate that style of boots
🤣🤣🤣
Yes
I’ve rewatched a lot of this gentleman’s videos. They are that good and entertaining, and his way of talking makes them more enjoyable. Keep the great work. Many blessings from Tampa Bay, FL
Really hope this channel blows up man. You’re a natural.
Thanks Michael, I really appreciate it🙂
I agree with this! Monika is also a great videographer!!
If you get a lavalier/lapel mic I think it would improve the quality/clarity of your voice. Keep up the great content. Love the lifestyle gear
@@Zensa06 Thanks so much for the tip about the mic- I'll save this as I definitely want to keep improving the video quality. Thank you!🙂
Loving the content, I am new to riding. I have already bought a few bits, based on your recommendations, once I get my full licence, I may see you on the road.
whenever I hit that start button, wide grin always on my face. Bonneville is a masterpiece. cant be described by any words.
I’ve had a pair of TCX Hero waterproof boots for two or three years, similar to the tcx you’ve shown there. They wear in well.
The boots are fantastic and every boot oozes with quality. They are so versatile and functional. Loved the jeans too.
Thanks Freddie,my 7 yr old and I love your work, well done to you.
I have the TCX and agree, they’re exceptional and waterproof👍
Thanks mate. I've always been using touring boots, but just bought myself a lifestyle boot after your recommendations.
Fantastic, I'm so glad the video's been of some use!🙂
Had one of those RX-7's in college. It was a blast.
Great boots, great jeans, great bike, great car.... All in one great video.
I've been looking for a good pair of riding boots for a long time. thank you for this awesome video introducing a wide spectrum of brands and price points. love how ya threw in what jacket you were wearing too, it looks strong and cool on ya!
Nice boot collection! I just ordered the Styl Martin's because of this video. Thank you, sir!
Love your style and presentation 👍🏻
Freddie Freddie Freddie, nothing to prove & no bull, your personality and style is so refreshing to watch buddy.
Keep em coming 👍
That means a lot, thanks so much Billy!🙂🙌
Excellent video buddy. Just the type of boots I was looking for and introduced some brands I wasn't aware of. I just bought my first motorcycle, and I already see that I'll be collecting boots as I do sneakers :-)
Thanks for that rainy day impromptu!! This was either the best source for, or perfect complement to, the myriad of internet reviews of new MC boots that are mostly uninformative, offering less than the product spec pages.
Great video Freddie, just what I needed! Gunna go for the tcx boots👍🏻
You will absolutely love them! Thanks Ryan🙂
I really enjoyed your video, very detailed and also showed the product on you. The layout amazing everything man. Wish you the best keep coming up with great content. And you definitely earned another subscriber. Appreciate you brother.
Very refreshing and informal review which should be commended. Very good stuff indeed!
One of my favorite Freddie videos, I’m going to buy the Brown RST Roadsters today, my first pair of urban/casual boots 🥾 Having bought a T100 I need the gear style to match the bike😎 Thanks Freddie.
Getting my license sorted and having to pickup all the gear from a stopped start, so this video is really helpful - thanks Freddie!
I commented on the last video I watched about how stylish you are, then there’s this, amazing content!
I’d recognise that view out the window anywhere - I’m from Crayford myself. Done my bike test at Erith too earlier this year.
Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Been thinking for a while but looks like I'll be going for the x blend. Decent boot for £130. Watched a couple of videos and have now subscribed. Good chilled vibe and not over zealous trying to sell. Congrats on the channel
Thanks Malcolm!
I just started riding, and my first pair of boots is the yurok stylmartin. A little bit expensive, but I was attracted to how tall they are. 😊
I’ve owned the TCX X blend boots for about 3 years....love em
Great to know after three years they're still going strong!
In my size (42) I often find the malleolus protection nowhere near where my ankle is. It's also worth noting a boot like the Rocker can be resoled many times where often the cheaper boots have a glued on sole with fake stitching.
I have a pair of Forma Legacy boots and they are so good I'm planning on touring in them.
Great channel, great content, great presenter 😎 really enjoy the podcast too. You’re persuading me to try these hood jeans and shorter boots.👍
Thanks very much, and so glad you're enjoying the Podcast too! The Hood Jeans and any of the boots in today's video are superb- you'll love them!👌👌
Brilliant video Freddie, I was looking into getting some more "less plasticky bike clobber", those Aviator's and the TCX's look great, and the hood Jean's too, I love that old RX7 you don't see many like that, I think I went over to that business park for a classic BMW car meet up a few years ago looks familiar, keep the video's coming always look forward to them!
Thanks! Glad the video may be of some help! It's the first of that generation RX7 I've ever seen- absolute beauty😍 Ah yes that'd make sense- I think they do have car meet ups in the area as there are a few different car companies based there.
Thanks for the support!
Great informative video a pleasure to watch. Please keep them coming
Appreciate it Mark🙌🙌
Still smashing it Freddie 👍🏻😎 already looking forward to the next one, ride safe fella 👊
Thank you Rushy!!
Awesome video and awesome content can’t wait for the next video Thanks
Good honest breakdown! I really trust what you say because I can tell you don't shill for any companies.
Hi Freddie I've got the aviator boots which i love , they look great with my bike shed Jean's, enjoy your videos and your enthusiastic style , good job
Thanks Garry, brilliant boots, and good choice with the Bike Shed jeans- I've never owned them, but they look as cool as it gets!
So I use $35 Walmart Interceptor black lace-up boots. Steel toe, reinforced heel cup, and breathable. Nonslip sole. Nicely padded but not reinforced on the ankles. Not waterproof. Unless you’re going to upgrade to full fledge racing boots these are all you need. 20,000 riding miles and they’re still great.
I just bought the TCX X Blend Boots a few days ago (before I saw your video). Glad to hear you recommend them too, so I guess it was the right decision 😁
Superb choice! There's nothing better for an absolute all rounder (style, value, quality and safety). You'll have many happy years of riding in them🤘🏍
I have some TCX and they are fabulous ... I love the equipment you use ... Congratulations
Thanks very much Brando!🙂
Another ‘feel good’ video. Thanks, I enjoyed enjoyed that.
Thanks very much Aimen, really glad you enjoyed it!🙂
Loooove my Urban Racers. Had been considering X-Blends and similar but the Rokkers just feel and look "proper", mine are the oxbloods and they shine up very well with some Saphir Renovateur.
Thanks for the real talk about so many boots. I can barely afford a single pair, so I need to be as informed as possible when I make a purchase. So many "review" videos are sales pitches in disguise; or the reviewer doesn't really know the products. 👍
My first view of your channel - a really nice presentation, Freddie. Subscribed!
Thanks for the helpful advice, nice video 😉👌🏼
Thanks Lago, glad you found it useful!
Best rider content on CZcams for sure , 5 stars ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ flat out excellent information for all 👍, sir you’ve got some gear ! RDT Roadster boots look top Notch
Thanks very much Brian!🙌🙌
Hands down my favourite reviewer of all things on the cooler side of the moto spectrum.
Your style is effortlessly delicious to watch.
I totally agree with you on the Hood 👖.
At your recommendation I've gone with the falco Aviators and they are by far the best motorcycle boots I've ever owned, I've even warn them out a few times without any intention of riding a motorcycle and they've been complemented by a number of my wife's friend's. I've been forwarding a few of your vlogs to the boy's down here in Australia 🇦🇺 and they love them too.
Have you done a review of the Speed Twin 1200, I don't seem to be able to find one and I'm seriously interested in your opinion in contrast to the recent speed twin 900 you did.
Totally captivating charisma brother, subbed.
Really appreciate it, thanks Miles!🙂
Great video Freddie! Keep em coming!
Really appreciate it Johan!🙂
A brilliant and entertaining video. You got a new subscriber.
Great presentation style mate 👍🏽
Great review!
This is awesome vlogging Freddie love it👍
I love boots too.
I saw the Triumph brand, ‘have to subscribe to your channel. Well done presenting your awesome collection of riding boots.
Glad the Triumph tee grabbed your attention and thanks very much for the support Rudyard🙂
The Rokker Urban Racers have been the best boots for me by far. I had some TCX Heros that I liked, looked cool and were super comfy but the waterproof membrane made my feet sweat too much. The Rokkers have no waterproof membrane but with some leather wax they don't let a drop of rain in. And they get comfier with age. Great film again and love how you're mixing up your content.
Thanks very much for sharing this tip and your thoughts Marcus!🙂
I have made over 40.000km in these Rokker boots. Pouring rain etc, hot weather amazing!
I have the TCX X boots i agree brilliant boots. would be useful if you had shown the cleaning
I was lucky with my boots! About a year ago I found some TCX Rook boots that were reduced because they were discontinued. Reduced from around £165 to about £42. I bought a black and a brown pair!
Excellent video and just ordered a pair of Aviators on the back of it.
That's a serious collection my man !
Redwing Iron Ranger is my choice. Thx for the review 👍
awesome overview, thanks!
Glad you found it useful, thanks Jan!
THIS IS A CZcams CHANNEL LOOKS LIKE AND WHAT MEANT TO BE! GUIDE, SHARING IMPORTANT THINGS! IDEAS AND HOW TOs!
NO DRAMA AND RANT AND STUPID ONE SIDED PERSONAL AND POLOTICAL ADVICES ! I SUBSCRIBED!!!
This is the leather boots review I'm looking for. 👍
Always trust the algorithm hey! I stumbled across your channel and really love the content you’re putting out. I’ve been riding since 2012 and absolutely love it though unfortunately 95% of my riding is commuting into London from herts. Question I have for you is how does this retro/lifestyle gear hold out across the seasons/weather? I typically ride all year round and have only ever used big goretex dainese boots and thick textile clothing with lots of armour but frankly it is a pain having to either change or wear my normal clothes underneath. Would appreciate your thoughts thanks 😊
Falco Aviator - love at first sight! 😍
Enjoy your videos from Montreal
A very nice boot 🥾 collection Fredster. I ride in Thorogoods 8inc Moc safety toe which work for me . Thanks for sharing your collection ✌️🙏👍
Thanks Jamie! I haven't come across the Thorogoods before so just googled them- great looking boots!👌
@@FreddieDobbs An American work boot Fred. Similar in style to the Redwing moc but about hundred quid cheaper. I wear them with a pair of Fuel Sergeant jeans.
German army surplus, if available but a few years ago around £20-30. For last few years Altberg made in Yorkshire. Lace ups. For summer riding British made genuine army desert boots, suede. Acquired while working, in middle east, ammunition boot style.
Loving this channel! Any chance you do a review on backpacks for commuting? Congrats man
So glad you're enjoying it! Great idea, I'll try and do this backpack vid, thanks for the idea🙂
Good work mate 👍🏻
well, first things first - great vid Freddie, I have also discovered your podcasts recently and found them enjoyable as well.
Let me share some personal experience regarding Broger Alaska boots. Due to limited budget, they were my only pair of riding shoes for a season and a half. I ride daily, mostly commuting, in pretty much every conditions you may come across in Warsaw, nearby which I live.
In general, I recognize them a very well made ones with a bit bulky design in the toes section, and IMO they suffer from three faults:
- they do not come in halves of size and the fitment is on the generous side, so you may quite easily get unlucky to be stuck in the middle between of sizes, as I did
- they take a certain amount of time to break in, which I will remember as a literally painful period for my feet, I believe it was mostly due to the sizing issue
- after about a year of daily riding (ca. 10k miles) the side zippers tended to break apart if I was less careful about lacing tension per my socks thickness
never the less, these are decent boots if you are on a budget and lucky to pop spot on with their sizing
ride safe, cheers!
Nice to see the RX-7 , I had an L plate RX-3 in the late 80's only car I regret moving on , only one I didn't think of as an appliance . Look it up great little coupe.
Great video .
Wow, I've never seen an RX3 in the flesh- absolutely stunning (and incredibly rare!) cars!🖤
@@FreddieDobbs selling her wasmy second biggest regret after getting married ! Paid £200 for her and now they fetch $30,000 in the states 😭😭😭
@@themoog3889 ahhhhhhhh I feel your pain!
If you don't land a TV presenting job after this channel I will be very surprised. Great videos! Helmet reviews next?? 🙏🏻
That's extremely kind of you to say so, thank you!
Haven’t seen whole review yet but perhaps first one looks to be the Rev it one, I have and could be pricey… will continue on watching
I’m surprised that good motorcycle boots are relatively inexpensive. I wear Vibergs daily to the office, and their quality is so superb that I can stand on concrete with them for 10 hours with no soreness. Of course they cost well over $700 but they’re well worth it. As a new rider, I’m looking forward to exploring this boot market.
Thanks from Germany.
Indie ridge boots will change ur life!
Went for the Falcon Aviators in Brown after seeing on your channel Freddie, I had the Dianese Street armour ankle Converse style boots (great summer boot I’ve had for 4 years) but wanted a more robust boot out for gravel etc, as found my ones slippy and when shoving about a 300kg Rocket can be a bit sketch… will go with my new awesome 😎 green JohnDoe bomber jacket and green Resurgence combats (make great jeans), Falcos seem like a great boot for the money? Had a hip replacement a little while ago so the double zipper is great.
A Rocket owner- AMAZING!!🖤
The Aviators are the only boots that genuinely don't need the laces undoing, which is very nice!
That's a very nice selection you have (John Doe and Resurgence)- they're two brands I've never tried, but I really want to, so it's good to get your feedback.
The
...the Falco are very good value for money!👌🏻
@@FreddieDobbs arrived and what lovely boots, feel great straight one thanks again Freddie 👍 keep the great reviews coming.. and tallyho for DGR on Sunday mate 🏴
@@78Outlaw I'm so glad you like them! Thanks very much JB and have a great DGR up in Scotland!🙂
Has anyone made a classic style boot with ankle torsion/flexion protection like a track boot?
Love your reviews, which one is the least warm out of these ? The one you'd choose for really hot weather? Thanks!
What a great champ!
Freddie, amazing video as always! Thank you so much for doing this! I have one question: if you have to choose only one pair of boots, which one would you choose? (the most annoying question, I know). Cheers!!!!
nevermind! just bought the falcos :)))))) Still curious about what would you choose though. Cheers!
a classic jacket guide would be great 👍🏻
Good shout- I'll add this to my list!🙂
Great video, I've bought the rev'it in brown a couple years back and they are not that comfortable.
I've got thin feet that may explain why.
Keep up the good work with your channel!
Thanks very much!🙂
I found the Rev'It quite comfortable, but I know that boot comfort varies from one person to another.
Appreciate the support!🤜🤛
I ride with work boots & a pair of good fitting welder gloves
Thank you for these great videos man, after watching your video on the Moto Guzzi I have to say you're the perfect guy to talk about boots :D
Which pair do you find most comfortable in hot weather?
This video helped me a ton! Thank you! Have you ever tried the Stylmartin Ace boots?
Glad you found it useful! I've never tried the Ace but they look very nice and well priced too!
I think I I have been watching most of your videos now excellent very impressed but now I think it's time to start doing your own t-shirt brand
Did you ever show the solenoid screwdriver trick anywhere ?
I've never owned any of these but I think the Falco Aviators look the best from a style perspective. I have the Indie Ridge Comanche in brown, they look pretty good but they're a cross between a brown leather boot and a sneaker. I paid $175 which is about 150 pounds?
Triumph Dadlington boot £200 , very nice , a zip to the rear of the boot.
Great review keep up the good work, but please buy some polish even some neutral (so you keep the patina) and look after that leather. It'll make them more comfortable and more waterproof.
good review
What do you think bout the furygan Appio boots and tcx dartwood?
What are the full length boots you brought in
Hi Freddie, great video. With all the rain we've been having, how do you sort out all the white marks left behind on your boots? You've obviously got some boots there that you've had a long time and they still look great. Do you treat your boots with a waterproofing wax or something? What can you recommend?
So refreshing to see practical advice and not just a shop channel plugging their gear for sales!
How would you describe the fitment of the Stylmartin Yu'rok Freddie, do they fit through to size?
Firstly love the channel and hope it grows for you. This maybe a daft question but when it comes to riding boots do you do any care and maintenance to them?
When it rains, I give them a clean with leather conditioner treatment- once every month (pour some on an old t-shirt and wipe all over). It takes about two minutes per pair and keeps them in top condition
@@FreddieDobbs thanks for the tip and replying. 👍🏻
What do you think about the forma Legacy boots?
Hi Freddie,
Can you tell me if the Rokkers are in normal brown or light brown, please? Thank you very much!
