Informative video, but I don't see an issue with the boots and jeans you put in the thumbnail. Did you make it seem like there was an issue with that particular set to see if people couldn't figure it out to then click on the video? Maybe I'm missing something with the thumbnail picture...maybe it's just clickbait...either way...I watched the video. Disliking because I came to find out why the boots and jeans in the thumbnail weren't right because I didn't see an issue and it wasn't specifically talked about...

Same. About to watch the video but looking at the thumbnail my best guess is the color. Mostly the jeans being something more darker that will compliment the boots but honestly isn't that big of a deal.

A small tip : very dark indigo jeans tend to have a purple sheen into them that goes very well with dark burgundy/cordovan, rich brown or black with red undertones boots.
As always, right on the money advise. I have my kids and grand kids watch your videos so they can style and profile the right way. You are a Zen master of this stuff.
You know as a high school teacher I always get good remarks on my Irish Setter Wingshooter/Black Wrangler pant combo. I'm not sure if I am breaking any rules but it just looks sharp with the reddish boot with black jean combination. It sets a more "work" type of tone to my instruction.
I live in the tropics so wearing boots don't really make a lot of sense here but I still watch these videos because boots are just so darn good to look at.
One thing that I don't like about Chelsea's is that loop on the back always ends up getting in the way of your pants cuff when you stand up, so you always have to adjust that.
I always cut that loop off. If you need the loop to get it on your foot, then you need a different boot.

I work construction as a carpenter building houses in Arizona. I wear White's Perry Moc Toe Boots with Wrangler and sometimes Ariat strait cut/slim fit jeans. After years of construction, this has worked best for me.
could you consider doing a trade workers and service uniform series .. i and other business owners i know are always talking and changing our uniforms. would be nice to know what looks nice and what works, matched with functionality. a lot of the trades are also in home sales , so presentation matters.
I enjoy topics like this and have been appreciative of you shouting Thursday Boots since the beginning. I have been wanting to find a great source all in one location like that. They have to be the most beautiful shoes that I’ve seen and I’m excited to grab a few sneakers, Chelseas and chukkas each from them. LOVE my Thursday Boots! Have 7 pair. Rocking the black matte President today in a monochromatic look with black jeans, a black tee and a mostly black, patterned collared shirt. Cannot endorse Thursday Boots enough. Beyond quality and value, their customer service is top notch. Just do it!
Customer service is astonishingly good indeed!! I have multiple boots, 2 pairs of Thursdays. The captain and president, great looks but they remain uncomfortable compared to all my other boots! Is it just me or are you familiar with this?
Not sure how a person can respect themselves while walking around in cheap third world boots made by slave labour and crafted with crappy synthetic materials. Do yourself a favour and buy an American (or European) made heritage boot. Red Wings, Whites, Nicks, JK boots etc. Your self-confidence will thank you. Sure it's more expensive, but it will pay for itself in the long run.

@@MrFreeGman While I agree that Thursday boots are not the very best quality (though good value for money) your comments about "crappy synthetic materials" are nonsense.
Assuming by synthetic you mean not occurring naturally but (usually) derived from oil (which is a natural material) then your traditionally made boots are full of synthetic materials.
Most boots have synthetic soles for example. Even vulcanized rubber is natural rubber mixed with synthetic agents. So unless you only use leather soles....
The cork in goodyear welted footwear is mixed with oil derived binding agents.
The glues and cement used are synthetic (and are actually the main way the boot sole components are fastened to the boots).
The thread used in the stitching is synthetic, usually nylon based.
The chances are that the laces will be synthetic.
Unless your boots are veg tanned then the tanning process will use toxic chromium salts to tan the leather.
The leather dyes are synthetic as are sometimes finishing agents for the leather.
The eyelets and shank are likely to be a synthetic alloy like brass or steel not found naturally.
Finally synthetic foams like Poron will easily outlast the cork in your boots (they're used for running shoes and can last thousands of miles) and there's a good chance that even in the footbed it will outlast leather which tends to rot and crumble with repeated exposure to your sweat.
There are plenty of videos from cobblers showing this, with Red Wings especially affected.

I wear my dress boots with dress pants at work all the time. I'm always able to pull off the look
Boot cut can definitely look great if you have the build and get them fitted. I'm a slim ripped dude and my style is a vintage rock 'n' roll vibe. I have several pairs of slim boot cut jeans that I had tailored for that 70's rocker style. They're very fitted through the hips and thighs with just a subtle flare after the knee to the hem. Paired with a nice leather belt and vintage buckle, they look fantastic with all of my boots. I get a lot of compliments anytime I'm out wearing this combo.

Antonio, perhaps you can provide me with an answer that I haven't been able to obtain from Thursday Boots, even though I'm their customer. You've been speaking about the Goodyear Welt stitch as something great. But what's the reason for this feature if the thread on the sole gets destroyed in just a few months because it isn't hidden in a trench? It's an obvious downside, so why is it being ignored?

Selvedge jeans are expected to be cuffed to show the selvedge badging requiring about 4 inches of excess length to get the cuff.
I'd appreciate a video on cuffing jeans the right way to look composed.
Wrangler Cowboy Cuts are the best bootcut jeans. They have a good fit if you’re in shape, not too tight not too loose. Also the bootcut is just enough to slip over boots without the jeans looking like bell bottoms. 100% cotton but once they break in they’re very soft and comfortable.
Best fit for me are Walmart Boot Cut, $17. I've tried on maybe 7-8 other brands. Second best are Nautica for me. Levi's are the worst.
I got a pair of Thursday terracotta boots (I think the captain style) and i really have no idea what to wear them with , color wise everything i try seems off

Over the last 2 years I have become a minimalist in everything I can. For clothes, I wear Naked and Famous selvedge jeans, I have only 2 pair(one for the summer, one for the fall/winter) I wear good quality undershirts, and a nice flannel or hemp shirt. I buy 1 of what I need, and I buy the best. I wear a Filson jacket, and Red wing iron rangers. A solid thick leather belt, a handkerchief, good knife and a good quality analog watch is also recommended. The new Thursday boots with the king last are much nicer then the ones I got a few years ago, the old captain was just too slim.
My personal favorite dark denim color is INDIGO.

Has anyone worn a brand called SPOKE-LONDON? Found these from another similar review site and they are superb. Fantastic brand and I'm wearing three different colours from that brand with crocket and jones boots. Gonna be honest very very expensive presentation but they do make you feel very good.

When I like boots the most, in all their styles, is when they are stressed and dull after a while of use. I never polish them. Sometimes I put a little oil on them to protect the leather, but I never polish them like a dress shoe.
I have a cheaper pair of Chelsea boots and they are my favorite thing to wear. I hope to get a nicer, more 'dressy' pair in brown and black. If they fit well, I will be getting a few more from Thursday.

So, brown shoes do not compliment a black suit (as you stated in a previous video), but brown dress boots will work with black pants?
One issue I’ve had with Handmade boots, is variation. If you’re getting full leather boots(love mine) I had to get stretching equipment and treatment to prevent from tearing my right foot up and destroying the boot. The feel was great once it was in the boot but the neck was too tight.
what boots would you reccomend for heavy rain, and snow/slush? i don't want rubber boots, but am afraid that leather will get stained if i step in a big puddle or from heavy rain or wet snow
I bought some rubber Chelsea's in Stockholm for that very reason. Look great and fair well in the rain

I have seen baggy jeans with work boots for that Naughty by Nature look. I have seen work boots with tight pants for that punker vibe. I am stuck in the 90's...
I'm a former 0351 (rip my fellow assaultmen), and I've been trying to simulate the versatility and durability of my old bellviles with random shoes without having to look goofy and tacticool. It never occurred to me for some reason that normal leather boots exist and look good af. Currently saving up for some red wing iron rangers.

I’ve switched to boots last year and gotten much more attention from women and respect/questions on the boots from men. I didn’t change my style just switched from Vans and Nikes to Chukka and motorcycle side zip style boots.

I'm super interested in boots and i have been wearing a nice pair of Moc Toe Boots these last few months. But i feel like the Moc Toes are the only type of boots i can really wear in my age without looking like a 50 year old.

Classic Red Wings Iron Ranger for casual. If you don’t want to pay Nick’s prices for a PNW look Danners are good, but make sure to get made in Portland, not Vietnam. Chelsea style Blundstone is solid. Watch Rose Anvil deconstructions, you can see what you’re paying for. Don’t trust names you’d think would be good, like Carhartt or John Deere, mostly selling the name for branding. I’m a shoe hound, but not rich, so I try for best quality/best price. Hope this helps.

So if you’re thinking of wearing jeans with cowboy boots for god’s sake get boot cut jeans. My favourites are Lee Riders. If they were dress slacks you’d want a full break plus at the hem. You basically want the back of the hem to touch the ground and the front of the hem to bunch up a bit on the boot. Do not get them too short!! Never wear your jeans tucked inside your boots until you’ve ridden enough, fallen off enough and been around long enough to understand when it might be appropriate.

I would buy Thursdays but they don’t make narrow widths so they don’t fit my narrow foot. Too bad.
You really need to talk about "stacking" your jeans when wearing cowboy boots. Basically, you go a little longer in the length of the leg of the jean and it causes a slight bunching about the ankle. The traditional reason for this is so when you ride a horse your pant legs don't ride up. Also, Cowboy boots and jeans tend to look better with a straight cut than a boot cut.
What about, um, REAL work boots designed for actual work? lol
