This was a very busy year for Angelina - here at Allsang på Grensen July 2017, her increasingly powerful vocals coming to the fore - and having so much fun! She certainly got a hold on me...
Britt, she can sing anything and do it well. The story is whenever they had these outdoor gatherings in Norway, if Angelina was included in the list of performers for the event the place would be sold out. Norway will always be in her heart because of all the love she shared with everyone. But, something mysterious happened along the way. Wherever she goes as she has progressed through the teen years she realizes she is sharing her love with everyone, wherever she goes IN THE WORLD. And think of it this way, everyday there are perhaps thousands of people discovering her and are joining us on her journey and we have to consider what it will be like during the Holiday Season this December, what with her new album out (?) and perhaps the beginning stages of a world tour. But, we must continue to remain patient. Our special day will come.

The song she is singing is a cover of Etta James’ song from 19962. The song you’re thinking of is “Good feeling” by Flo Rida. Flo took the “Oh oh, sometimes I get a good feeling/i get a feeling that I never never never never had before” section, sped it up, and the repeated the “I Get a good feeling” line at the end of the “No No” part and just made a riff out of it.
I was thinking last night that I would love to see Angelina tackle “Good feeling” by Flo Rida. I know she could do the rap part too!

Our Angelina does this song in the original style of the Fantastic Etta James, who released it in 1962. It must be so thrilling for Etta to see someone at the top of a new generation performing this so well. AJ was having so much fun here. It's a fun song. At 10 years old, slaying this performance and creating so much joy and love. Sadly, Etta James passed away January 20, 2012.

This is an Etta James song. Written and released by Etta James. Angelina started it the way Etta wrote it. She did change a word or 2.. I noticed that where Etta's lyrics had 'child" Angelina substituted 'baby'.
As for youth performing this song, I thought Ermonia had done a good job, then I found Angelina. AJ, Diana Ankudinova, and Dimash are like my idea of musical trinity of young solo artists for the beauty, (exceptional talent), they bring into an often dismal world. 🥰
This is one of my very favorites of hers. So mature for her age, and I’m sure she had the final say about the arrangement. Another song when she had backup singers at this same venue, one of the singers was heard saying, “I can’t believe I’m singing for an eight-year-old!”

Not a fan of any of these outside concerts....except for this song and "It's Now or Never". But it's Norway and spring is something to celebrate after a long dark winter. I feel Angelina (like Steely Dan, Beatles, etc) is best at intimate, studio live performances. But this is great.
