When you say this is too easy for her-you really should treat yourself to Angelina as you’ve never heard her before singing “I’d Rather Go Blind”, the classic Etta James song. Angelina summons up an unbelievable voice with passion, soul, and emotion than seems impossible-even for Angelina. And all the while that voice is making your jaw drop to the floor, Angelina is sitting on her sofa, immersed in the music, but absolutely calm and smiley. She’s there to sing to us-not put on a show. Maybe it’s her inner calmness that allows that flexible, magical voice to keep astonishing us, but I’d Rather Go Blind shows why Angelina is unique.
Vocal fry and rasp like no other. Just Angelina and that fantastic Neumann microphone. This is not a song I care for, but when Angelina sings it, WOW! The best it's ever been performed (IMO).

It's always a great pleasure to see your wonderful reactions to Angelina, Kristin. When Angelina performs outdoors, with a band or in concerts, she is increasingly lively and bubbly. In this song in particular, with an almost gospel version, she is incredibly lively and very engaging also at the age of 11, just watch the reaction of the quiet Norwegian spectators, 😉 while her body language communicates the pleasure in the performance of this 1962 song by Etta James, another of the singers loved by Angelina 😊 ❤️
During all the years that she has participated in "Singing At The Border" in Halden, always with those wonderful flowers in her hair, Angelina has always performed fantastic performances.

Angelina is 11 in this performance, and this is the 4th year she has performed at this annual summer concert on the Norway/Sweden border. For Norwegians, Angelina is a National Treasure. They say when she is scheduled to perform at this concert, it is the most difficult ticket to get. Her first appearance at this concert was just a few months after winning NGT. She performed Dinah Washington's Grammy winning (1959) song, "What a Difference a Day Makes". I feel that Angelina really enjoyed this concert. She had to choose songs that would go well with a choir, this one being perfect, upbeat and easy to sing along to, she was in the groove. Angelina had her best concerts in 2017, but we could say that about 2018 and 2019....
