I can't believe it's already been six months. I love chickens and seeing your girls, so I look forward to all of the paintings. This angle on Turnip is perfect, and this sketchbook is definitely my favorite for watercolors!
I really liked this change as I love realistic art in some ways more than surrealism. But each has its place. It was just a nice change. Loved how you brought your little buddy forward with the complimentary colors and as usual your voice and videos are so calming after a stressful, long day. Loved this chicken's comb and apparent visible personality. Boss!

Seeing your chickens is kicking in major nostalgia for me. My family used to raise chickens and we had two that looks very much like your ladies. Our boss chicken was named Goldie and she was a spicy lady. Very headstrong and sassy. Its so hard going back to store bought eggs after having them fresh.

I painted a chicken recently too! I think I will paint more, they are very interesting. I'm glad you're diversifying. Painting the same thing can be a little draining, no matter how much you love it.

I loved this! She's so pretty and has such personality. Don't keep doing surreal portraits if you don't feel compelled to - I'll watch whatever you paint!
*lovely chicken names...really reflects their obvious personalities (obviously (duh) especially your Alpha Hen...another possible idea/valiant for your poultry portrait journey...use an accordion journal so that you can display all of your feathered ladies at the same time once finished...for your own personal archive of course but a limited attention print run for your patrons would also be really nice in atittion to the prints you have already planned to offer...post cards or trading cards would be awesome...maybe a few of the tiny chicks here and there or dramatic stylized (for a chicken) multi views on the same page...this could easily branch off into many wild tangents of chickens posed in historic or futuristic/ steampunk settings/eras...but then that's just how my somewhat wonky brain/synapse works...oh, look a SQUIRREL!!!! gotta chase it!!!!*

You should paint a pyroraptor from Jurassic world dominion, this is JAXON
