Love this. I went to college part time for 8 years for a computer science degree. Near the end it hit me while I sat in a databases class. I already had a job, and 90% of what I needed for the job was learned by doing, outside the classroom. I packed my books and never went back.

It's great that you were able to recognize what you needed and make a decision that was best for you. Sometimes we get caught up in the idea that we need a degree to be successful, but that's not always the case. Hands-on experience and real-world knowledge can be just as valuable, if not more so, than a degree. It sounds like you made a smart decision and were able to achieve success in your career regardless.

I don’t know if this is a common thing with ADHD but I almost always feel I need some kind of mentor to tell me the path I need to take because it never seems obvious to me. I end up severely overcomplicating it until I burn myself out, having not achieved anything 😬 I feel like everything needs step-by-step instructions lol
