Betting Mega Inci will end up like Garchomp. A waste of the slot, with base form being better, due to Life Orbs, Assault Vests and other items being better than Mega Stone. Especially, if it loses Intimidate and instead gets something like Illuminate.

I mean my prediction is that we gonna get Mega Kalos Starters and regional starters from other regions with Kalosian forms. Incineroar personally is also unlikely, due to being way too popular and fresh. Where as Pokemon like Emboar or Meganium could get some more love. Doesn't mean we can't speculate about - what, if Incineroar was the next new starter. And I don't think they would make it more broken, especially not the way Bloodmoon is - as that was already meant as boss Pokemon. Starters are usually more balanced. Even Incineroar itself had to wait for HAs to be relevant.
Here is my theory: I couldn’t help but notice that it’s called Pokémon Legends Z-A(or Alpha). Considering how it first started off all old timey talking about the redevelopment plan of Kalos, then went futuristic. Making me believe that this takes place 12 years after Pokémon X and Y, and that has Kalos has gotten so advanced that they have technology that helps them view the past(and potentially interact with it). That past being the redevelopmentplan of Kalos. Then the title is called, Pokémon Z-A showing the progress starting from modern day Kalos, which is Z(the end), and go back to the very beginning of the alphabet, A. Which would be the very beginning of Kalos.
I think the futuristic parts were what the old times imagined this redeveloped Lumiose City will be. So, I feel like it’ll still be in the past. But we’ll see!
The thing is the A is also shaped in the greek letter Delta in the logo. Delta as in Delta episode from ORAS, Delta as in Delta Emerald. I think it's a safe bet to expect Mega Rayquaza in this game and to have some role in its plot.

Wolfey.. It was set in the past... It looks futuristic cause what we saw was a "redevelopment plan" for lumiose city, like when they BUILT lumiose city. When urban planners make mockups of like new huge development plans, they make things look all futuristic. The point is that we were looking at plans and advertisements for the modern Lumiose city that we know.

We still didn't see anything from the actual game yet, except how the buildings before the redevelopment will probably look like the illustration with the Pikachu at the start. And there's also a Talonflame in the video that devolves into a Fletchling, so I'm wondering if it's going to have some time shenanigans.
If they keep the rpg role theme, odds are it could be a healer for grass, a fighter or berserker for fire, or something like a pirate or ranger for water

I'm happy. Were finally getting Pokémon Z after so many years. And it may be for Switch 2 since its 2025. Its a good thing they are skipping a whole year and actually listening to fans and taking their time. Legends Kalos means were finally goanna get to see the Pokémon WAR from 3000 years ago. This has potential to be amazing. Oh and im hyped for new Kalosian forms and new MEGAS!!!!
Also we likely won't see the war unless there is time travel or flashbacks. Trailer implies this is likely an industrial era 1890s Paris Exhibition inspired world that would actively happen right after L:A, as we are rebuilding Lumiose to fit both Pokemon and humans.
@@Conorator that was because they were on a short clock to get the game out at the time (hence why so much of the plot and character development was scrapped and the games feel unfinished). They've had a few days since then to come up with one. Or they could look online for a second for inspiration. There's dozens of designs ranging from mid to insane floating around.

Most likely this will take place after the Ultimate Weapon was fired, where Lumiose City was destroyed and needs to be rebuilt, and during that process the people will stumble across mega stones and keystones that were scattered across the region, maybe even some new ones that became unimaginably rare or extinct from being locked away or destroyed during the rush to collect them, as some people realize how much power these mega stones grant

If this was Legends Johto or literally any _other_ region they’d 100% be getting regional forms for the final stage, just like PL:A…but Kalos being specifically the Mega generation, I really think they’ll be getting megas instead. We’ll probably be getting regional variants and evolutions of a couple other pokemon though. Hopefully including the Kalos starters since it always seemed weird they didn’t have any to begin with. If the Legends games continue, I feel like regions with gimmick mechanics will give those to the starters and regions without them will give them variants instead.

Well we didn't get news of Scarlet and Violet until literally the year it came out. 2021 was all about Sinnoh games. So Gamefreak is repeating similar tactics of releasing Gen 10 games next year.
My guess would be for starters and Empoleon because he's based on Napoleon, Serpior because he has French inspiration and Cinderace because fotball (soccer) So overall, I think Cinderace, Serpior and Empoleon
Piplup for sure wont be, since the last legends was sinnoh, it will have to be a set of starters that isnt from the gens we already played the past game and could capture in the wild
Based on the setting that Zygarde hates environmental destruction, it is expected that Zygarde will appear due to environmental destruction due to redevelopment. Considering that Lumiose City's design exists as a blueprint, I think it is from the past of the 6th generation. And since it is Z~A rather than Z&A, it seems to mean something. It probably means Zygarde's origin form.
The icognito being a theme of the direct ae basically a confirmation that legends z/a is about time travel. You know, the icogito being one of the pokemon connected to time travel. Also the under construction, probably being about it having far more city development, maybe even through the time tavel, maybe mega evolutions will be redconed ito being something to do with time travel, as in the pokemon being more like future/past versions.
Oh, the odds are worse. Legends Arceus had no Kalos starters, meaning that Z-V likely won't have Sinnoh starters and they aren't adding Skeledirge into Legends yet. If this logic follows, there is an unironical 1/3 chance we get Mega Incineroar. Even higher than that, I'd argue, because Incineroar has achieved a mascot status, but even 1/5 chance is high. Personally I'm just excited to see Furfrou again.
@@runedoomHow so? The idea was that the sinnoh starters were native to the region and were catchable there because of that. By that same logic, if the game is set in Kalos, it'd make sense that you catch Kalos pokemon in the wild and your starters come from elsewhere.
I think given it's Kalos Mega-Primarina is more likely than Incineror, and I do doubt they'll take two from the same generation, although given how perfect Primarina is for a france theme it does follow that they'd probably use the same three generations as Legends Arceus... which does mean MegaMeganium is on the table, and I guess MegaEmboar (pigs also work pretty well for france given truffle pigs to be fair, but it's not as funny a name as MegaMeganium) Although MegaEmpoleon is also a good shout, which would totally undo that speculation.
I assume you meant items for xerneas, but if it actually has the legends system, two turn moves are just “slow” anyway. Anyway, you could only increase a stat once, and speed boosts didn’t exist. Geomancy is fine. (If it was in arceus, it’d probably raise evasion for no reason. Here’s hoping this game has a functional battle system instead)
Also, thinking about it, Aegislash started the trend of Pokémon that heavily rely on their abilities. Mega Kangaskhan also gets most of its power from its ability. I highly doubt we won’t have abilities in the game
Starters will be Chikorita, Tepig and Popplio. They will alternative final forms. No megas for them just like XY starters didn’t get any at the time. Chespin and Fennekin will get megas. Ash-Greninja will be relabeled a mega. Potentially Charzard Z and Mewtwo Z Gen 7-9 most like to get new megas. Around 8 new regional forms/evolutions. That “A” might be a Lambda (Greek L) to tie into the Alpha, Omega and Delta of ORAS.
My guesses are snivy, scorbunny, and piplup. The first two just sorta feel like good guesses, but piplup seems very possible cause of empoleon being based on napoleon
Idea it’s still the past but it’s the redevelopment after the Pokémon war so it’s semi modern but still the past and we are the ones discovering the mega evolution

I have a feeling that that was the original plan for them in pokemon version z that never came out.

I don’t believe it’s going to be set in the future. I think the futuristic look that we saw in the trailer was actually a ‘blueprint’ for the city’s design and conception. It says ‘redevelopment plan’ so I imagine it’s actually the blueprint for what we now know as lumiose city. Doesn’t it look like blueprints? That’s why pikachu had no face?
The release date tells me that pokemon is finally going to take time to develop this (and hopefully future) game properly. Please gamefreak show us what you can really do because we all know you can do great things with time ❤

Pokemon Legends ZA reminded me of that super old dude named AZ from the Gen 6 games. Also, really glad that Legends is a confirmed series now and not just a one-off.

They are 100% bringing megas back to the main game. They are extremely popular in Japan.
This is their chance to bring Mega Meganium and Mega Flygon, and I hope they're as broken as Mega Kangaskhan on release

I would be more excited if Gen 6 felt whole originally. It felt half scrapped before. I hope this completes it and does Zygarde justice.
@Good_Hot_Chocolate Honestly it's just a shame it was the region that got stuck with the start of the 3D games. It was the gateway to 3D and the game and region suffered a lot from that. Otherwise Lumiose City is the city with the most wasted potential imo. So glad they are going back to it.

Most likely this will take place after the Ultimate Weapon was fired, where Lumiose City was destroyed and needs to be rebuilt, and during that process the people will stumble across mega stones and keystones that were scattered across the region, maybe even some new ones that became unimaginably rare or extinct from being locked away or destroyed during the rush to collect them, as some people realize how much power these mega stones grant

Paris went through an urban redevelopment called Haussmannization after the Revolution, so it’s probably going to reference that time period
@@cjlite0210 It probably takes place only a few hundred years before X&Y. The illustration of the buildings at the start of the trailer is probably what Lumiose will look like at the start of the game.

My prediction, ZA is AZ inverse, i think is the past we are going to see the post war, they are building lumiose to be a place were humans and pokemon can Live in harmony, like what zyguarde do, i think instead of space-time distorcion we will have life and death blossoms, and more important i think AZ is going to be an villain cause he only get an remdemption arc in the future.
Oh that’s gonna be really interesting, if Legends ZA is what makes him go on his pilgrimage to come to terms with what he’s done.

considering we only got 4 regional forms throughout SV (3 of which were tauros) i think its very possible they dont give the starters regional forms and instead just give them megas as the new aspect of their final stage
I agree. If this was Legends Johto or literally any _other_ region they’d 100% be getting regional forms for the final stage, just like PL:A…but Kalos being specifically the Mega generation, I really think they’ll be getting megas instead. We’ll probably be getting regional variants and evolutions of a couple other pokemon though. Hopefully including the Kalos starters since it always seemed weird they didn’t have any to begin with.
If the Legends games continue, I feel like regions with gimmick mechanics will give those to the starters and regions without them will give them variants instead.

Based on the setting that Zygarde hates environmental destruction, it is expected that Zygarde will appear due to environmental destruction due to redevelopment. Considering that Lumiose City's design exists as a blueprint, I think it is from the past of the 6th generation. And since it is Z~A rather than Z&A, it seems to mean something. It probably means Zygarde's origin form.
The icognito being a theme of the direct ae basically a confirmation that legends z/a is about time travel.
You know, the icogito being one of the pokemon connected to time travel.
Also the under construction, probably being about it having far more city development, maybe even through the time tavel, maybe mega evolutions will be redconed ito being something to do with time travel, as in the pokemon being more like future/past versions.
Oh, the odds are worse. Legends Arceus had no Kalos starters, meaning that Z-V likely won't have Sinnoh starters and they aren't adding Skeledirge into Legends yet. If this logic follows, there is an unironical 1/3 chance we get Mega Incineroar. Even higher than that, I'd argue, because Incineroar has achieved a mascot status, but even 1/5 chance is high.
Personally I'm just excited to see Furfrou again.

@@runedoomHow so? The idea was that the sinnoh starters were native to the region and were catchable there because of that. By that same logic, if the game is set in Kalos, it'd make sense that you catch Kalos pokemon in the wild and your starters come from elsewhere.

I think given it's Kalos Mega-Primarina is more likely than Incineror, and I do doubt they'll take two from the same generation, although given how perfect Primarina is for a france theme it does follow that they'd probably use the same three generations as Legends Arceus... which does mean MegaMeganium is on the table, and I guess MegaEmboar (pigs also work pretty well for france given truffle pigs to be fair, but it's not as funny a name as MegaMeganium)
Although MegaEmpoleon is also a good shout, which would totally undo that speculation.
For the unova stans, remember that Kalos had statues of the unova legends.

I assume you meant items for xerneas, but if it actually has the legends system, two turn moves are just “slow” anyway.
Anyway, you could only increase a stat once, and speed boosts didn’t exist. Geomancy is fine. (If it was in arceus, it’d probably raise evasion for no reason. Here’s hoping this game has a functional battle system instead)

Also, thinking about it, Aegislash started the trend of Pokémon that heavily rely on their abilities. Mega Kangaskhan also gets most of its power from its ability. I highly doubt we won’t have abilities in the game

Finally someone commenting on this. Would be to messy to have the mixed up starters again. Mewtwo and Charizard will get new Megas as well. Mega Meganium would be awesome, but I don’t think is happening.
@@erickmiranda6717 i think that realistically the chances of charizard and mewtwo getting mega Z forms is pretty slim but i always thought it was weird that the kalos starters didn’t get megas but the gen 1s did? like i am very happy the gen 1 starters did get megas but it makes no sense for the kalos region starters not have the feature that was implemented in THEIR game. I have a feeling that that was the original plan for them in pokemon version z that never came out.

I don’t believe it’s going to be set in the future. I think the futuristic look that we saw in the trailer was actually a ‘blueprint’ for the city’s design and conception. It says ‘redevelopment plan’ so I imagine it’s actually the blueprint for what we now know as lumiose city. Doesn’t it look like blueprints? That’s why pikachu had no face?
The release date tells me that pokemon is finally going to take time to develop this (and hopefully future) game properly. Please gamefreak show us what you can really do because we all know you can do great things with time ❤
