Deadliest Journeys - Congo River
Vložit
- čas přidán 2. 04. 2019
- We make the epic journey from Kinshasha, capital of the DRC, to Kisangani, the third largest city in this vast country. The only way to move between the cities is by boat or plane. We join 1,500 people onboard the 'Gbemani', sailing along the Congo River. Without fresh water, electricity, or medicines, it is a perilous voyage. -

What’s the point of the interviews if you’re not going to translate what they say !
I think they want us to guess what they're saying
@Nikolai Ninja Not for me. CC button just types out jibberish and doesn't show anything when they speak.
@Nikolai Ninja no it doesn't translate when they speak french
@Nikolai Ninja sorry to say that the CC doesn't do the trick
literally watching people travel through the congo on a flimsy boat and you are complaining about subtitles on a free video.
LMAO try strugging a little bit?
what did I just watch and that it was shot in 2019 is crazy? I'm from Kenya a neighboring country to DRC and this helps me understand why so many of them migrate here. God, help Africa, bad leadership has bowed this great continent's people to their knees. I can't even compare Congo's resources with Kenya. They have diamonds, their land is green and fertile as to our which is 80% desert.
From kenya too,,corruption kila mahali
I’d imagine the conditions would be much better if there wasn’t a war going on
I have a friend from Congo .... He always tell mi he can't leave Kenya, kenya kwake nikama ulaya.
I WILL NEVER COMPLAIN ABOUT MY LIFE AFTER WATCHING THIS VIDEO

5:23 The men's shower area. Once you are done
5:28 you need to proceed so others can have a shower too
5:36 To go for number 2, you need to hold and bend

15:23 I was sleeping over there when around 4am the work started, then I came to help her give birth. I was in the red cross. I am happy I could help
15:58-16:13 Everything is hard, all our money got taken away. There are some baby clothes but not the ones to keep him warm, for the colder temperatures. I am worried about money for food, I don't have anything, plus there is no place to seat
16:25 We just met on this boat. She asked for help, and we helped though we are not from the same family
19:51-20:07 Instead of checking the depth of the river he fell asleep then we got stuck, and we spent the night there from 8pm till now. That's why the captain is trying to maneuvre and pull back
Bless you good samaritan👏👏👏

Watching this video makes me incredibly thankful for all that I have. Respect to these people and safe journey's for all of them. 🙏
T OB you got problems.
No their luxurious yacht is just sailing nearby!
Did you see the smiles on their faces? It's all relative. Just like us, some of them are happy some not so much.
Many people seem to take what they have for granted. Life itself is a gift that we should be thankful for each and every day.
These people know the dangers of riding on this ferry but still choose to ride on it all the same. Probably because they do not have a choice.
Those of us with choices to make or sole options that are far better than what we saw in the video should be thankful.

Honestly I feel so grateful to have been born and living in the UK. Watching this is so humbling, I live in a comfortable home and get to eat three meals a day, its sad that in Western countries especially younger people are looking at Instagram wishing we had more money for a designer bag or expensive vacation - we don't even realise how good we have it. watching the babies crying really breaks my heart.
Just when I thought I had problems, I will just shelve my problems and makes sure no one gets to hear about them. There's a people going thru a more difficult struggle than I could even begin to imagine. More power, strength and willpower to the people of Congo.
A journey of survival. The community spirit is amazing. The nurse and the captain both deserve medals.

That Jesus Christ is the problem and we need to leave that religion for the white man and his people. I don’t understand why people want to be sheep. You want to someone to tell you how to eat? How to learn? How to think 💭? How to live? If you want to reclaim your history black man and black woman. Then you must study the people who try to write you out of history. It’s 2020 there’s no excuse the information is out there. Wake up!!!
