I love this town with all my heart! Watching this was so interesting. My uncle who's lived there for over a decade has made a living running a puppet theater which he makes everything (he's a great artist) and my step dad who make a living as a massage therapist. I live in new jersey and I look forward to visiting my mom all year long! The air is fresh, the sunsets are beautiful and vivid. The people always wave and smile. I just love it!

Hey Berkeley Springs is a very beautiful and interesting town. But you should see Cacapon back behind the mountain range that is the back drop of the town. Rt 9 is probably one of the prettiest drives around.

I am an Eastern Panhandle raised girl of 73+. I started coming to BS long before I can even remember. My mother would bring my one grandmother to the old bath house. We would wait. I didn't realize just what that was all about till I left the panhandle, went to Hollywood/Burbank area & lived an entirely different type of life. Finally came home in my early 40's & one of the firs places I wanted to go to was BS. Been doing that for the last 35+ years!!!!!!!!! It is always changing for the best; BUT the memories of a young girl of 9 yrs old waiting for her loved grandmother to return has never left me :) Please know from a close local that this place is "Magic" for some reason!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please visit at least once :) :) :)

One thing Berkeley Springs lacks and that is 100% Handicap Accessibility. "NO" promotion of that exists , That I have noticed in postings or advertisements in magazines, commercials, or video's that show the town is and that is a shame. Promoting a historic area and not Handicap Access and Wheelchair access is not something that should go hand in hand.I'm ashamed our tourism promoters cant do better :(

Chuck you are 100% correct. B.S. does not welcome Handicapped people.

This is so sad because if you would speak with the shop owners, they would make sure you are accommodated. I see you have not been there for a while. Perhaps you should visit to see all the changes. I am going in a few weeks & will mention this to any establishment that do not have handicap accessability & I'll be sure to follow up. Being older, with handicaps of my own, I realize the importance of what you are saying.

@@marybraid9602 , I respect your comment and The fact is , I do live here and see this everyday. There is one coffee shop with multiple steps out front with "NO" Access for anyone who has mobility issues and , I assume the owners have been creating a space beside the coffee shop for a beer garden style area and I've asked in the past was it wheelchair accessible and to this day have "NOT" Gotten an answer on that question ..Pretty sad if ya ask me
