This has got to be the best post I've seen in a very long time. There were only a few of the"then" pictures that I remember from the infrequent trips from the farm in Indian Springs to the big city of Berkeley Springs in the 1950's-it would be quite an occasion to come to the pool to enjoy a swim. Little did I know that it would become my adopted hometown of nearly 40 years now. This presentation was so well done the only ones that made me sad were the ones that are now vacant lots. Thanks for the memories.
Beautifully done and a valuable record. Thank you. Grew up in Berkeley Springs - and the 1917 parsonage we lived in on South Green Street in the 40’s and 50’s has also been demolished 😢
Beautiful, amazing photos of the past. I agree with Mr. McBee. What a shame so many beautiful homes and business structures are long gone with many being replaced by ugly, nondescript structures with no significant architectural characteristics.
The video is well done. But it makes me sad over the beauty that has been lost and destroyed.
Agreed it’s really saddening 😢 and stuff like this just pisses me off 😡😤! Cuz those were beautifully designed historical buildings and now they are replaced with ugly buildings and open parking spaces!!! I’m real pissed! 😡😡😡disgusting🤢🤮
I really like the video but I would also like to see more businesses in the historical area of town become more Handicap Accessible. I think the Historic Landmark Commission could work with these businesses to achieve that . I mean it IS a law we all can live with :)
