I just checked the location on the map. Yeah the lil shed unfortunately stood in an isolated area. The shops around are just not near enough and possibly closed at that time. Dreadfully unsafe. But you Alaskan folks must be used to some pretty severe desolation if that coffee shop was bang in the centre for you 🙈

I used that coffee shop every week. I went by the day after she was kidnapped and was surprised to find it closed. Samantha served me many times. It was a popular coffee shop for employees working night shift at providence. The only reason it was isolated when she was kidnapped was there was this large snow berm obscuring it from the main road.

Israel keyes tried to abduct me from essex junction, VT while here.. I believe he attempted to abduct me after the curriers.. I worked about 1/2 mile from their home and was chased home (I worked evening shift..) I was doing 85 in a 35 mph zone and the car stayed on my heals.. it was the car bill and Lorraine drove that he kidnapped them with..
I was too afraid to pull in my driveway about 8-10 miles from my work because of this car.. I didn’t have a cell phone at the time and couldn’t call for help.. I drove in circles basically and eventually lost the car.. and went home..
I then alerted my boyfriend at the time. We had two big pit bulls.. but lived in a one story house with an attached garage.. we did have our dogs freak out later that night for some unknown reason and to this day my ex and I still believe he tried to abduct me.. I’m so thankful God must have been with me that day. God bless the victims.. it turns my stomach.

That man wanted her alive so he could torture her first. So back in 2007 I was 18 and working 3rd shift as a front desk hotel clerk in Milan/Avery Ohio. About 10 mins from Sandusky.
It was my second job I’ve ever had and my first night alone working after being trained for just 2 days.
Around 3 AM this guy wearing dirty white shoes, blue jeans, a light jacket with hood and ski mask over entire face (all I could see was his eyes)…. He had what looked like a crowbar and a gun and demanded cash… then I was so stupid I started reading bible verses from this book that was in the lost and found and crying and talking about my baby at home… I kept going on about my child….he called me sweet baby and told me “oh baby I don’t want to have to hurt you”. My sweet baby. He started getting tears in his eyes and started to get mean and snappy, voice change to a deeper tone.
I gave him the cash box (400$) and he left in a white minivan, he walked kind of funny. Not limping just very like awkward lanky fast steps.
I don’t know for sure but looking at Israel Keyes eyes and listening to his voice… I think it was him… I’ll never forget those eyes…
It’s never been solved- conveniently on my first night alone the cameras weren’t working. I didn’t even know how to call out on the phone so once I finally did it was 30 mins later… they actually made me take a lie detector test and computerized test to make sure I wasn’t lying… and here I was absolutely traumatized. My boss yelled at me for giving him the money… cops told me I did the right thing.
I’m confident it was Israel keyes
I have ptsd and I haven’t been able to work at a front desk, as a cashier.. in fear it’ll happen again.

I was walking my dogs in the woods behind the bank and there were helicopters flying over the top of me looking for him. At the time nobody knew who robbed the bank, we found out later it was him. I live in the Adirondack mountains and on trails often with my dog. The authorities said they believe there are dead bodies buried close by that he disposed of. I’m in the woods all the time and you never know who is passing by you. In hindsight it’s a scary thought this freak of nature was always close by. He has the tell tale shark eyes. Nothing behind them. Scary

This guy is DISGUSTING. And of course, he takes his own life the second the police are onto him. At least he's not out there hurting more innocents. May his victims all rest in peace.

Wow this was used for Criminal Minds most recent season. Scary enough when shown in fiction but overwhelming terrifying this happened in real life. My heart goes out to the victims families.

Should have given him the d.p. date he wanted, to get the full confession, even if it was faked, complete with a fake newspaper and court order or "plea deal." The law does not require detectives to tell the truth in their tool box for interrogations.

What is mind boggling is he has a clean-cut all-American persona. He is well mannered, well-dressed, and yet, those are just in sheeps clothing.

2,500 active serial killers in the united states at any given time, but out of that 2,500 their are 400 who are long haul truck drivers or guys like israel keyes who drove thousand's of miles, those are the ones who are the most dangerous and hardest to catch.

I thought they were going to do a way bigger deep dive into this case. They actually left out a lot. I don’t understand how they had 7 months and 13 interviews and they never got more information out of him. Do you ever want to jump into the screen and tell that person to stop or save them? Never go with someone who is trying to abduct you. Fight like hell! Do everything possible to draw attention. It’s better to be shot on scene than in a shed. So sad for the victims. Definitely one of my biggest fears is disappearing. Never being found. You’re already alone when you die but that is the ultimate alone.

And how and why did he have a disposable razor. Shouldn’t they get one and then have it taken away. And personally someone assumed to be a serial killer, shouldn’t they be on suicide watch just as a precaution, especially since he asked for an execution date
