    Since next exam is implemented from 2028,do we need to crack next 1 and next 2 exam even if we want to do usmle?

    Some countries don't allow foreign students for internship,If I don't do internship will I be able to sit for usmle immediately after graduating from mbbs.

      If you get your medical degree without/before doing internship then you are eligible to do residency in US once you are ECFMG certified.

      Two very different exams. You need a rank in NEETPG but not in Canadian exam. Getting a rank makes it tougher I feel and not the actual exam content.

      @@MadAboutMedicine I think I'll need to compare the previous year question papers of both for the difficulty level......is it possible for you to make a video for Mccqe because every video on YT is very confusing

    But do they actually value our clinical experience in india?

      If you’re a graduate, absolutely yes. 100 times better than doing nothing and just studying for exams.

      So you’re saying that Russian university graduates are allowed to do externships in Indian hospitals without clearing FMGE?
      I’m prepping for step 1, have FMGE in December, which I’m not keen on taking. So instead of not having a gap year as you said, I can actually get some externships in some hospitals or do some research and that’s considered as not having a gap year?

      Officially you can only practice after clearing FMGE and doing your internship.

    Since i will be appearing for fmge this december and will only be preparing for it, i will be having a gap of about 2 mths ...will it be a red flag ?

    • @MadAboutMedicine
      @MadAboutMedicine  Před 10 měsíci

      No. This can be considered a procedural gap where you have no other option as you have to take the exam to do any clinical work in India. Plus, getting clinical experience after FMGE in Internship and continuing it until you match is what matters.
      Generally, 2 months of gap is not a red flag as many American students also have a 6-8 week dedicated for their step exam.
