Hey so in the monks note he mentions he meant to get yoko pregnant and then kill her before she had the baby, but she ended up having a boy before he could. The person chained in the basement was probably his son, held captive. So that's why you survived. You did yoko a solid by saving her son and I think that was him next to you when you were on the street at the end. His grandmother in the pink raincoat came and found you both and took him and called the ambulance for you. No idea why she forgot about her sister at the end. Maybe intentional by the sisters ghost so you didn't go back there to look for her again since the area is cursed.
I think it's a solid theory, but the implementation is a little lacking about the amnesia. If that happened to me and I remember my sister, I will go back (to the village to look for my sister) but if something happened to me which left some sort of hole in my memory, I would go back to where I was last known (village) to pick up the pieces of my lost memory. Long story short, if your theory is correct then that would mean I would still go back to the abandoned village whether or not I remember the reason why I went there the first place (bad ending).
Yes pp
@@kentacle1679 I think it insinuates that she never had a sister, and that the ghost of the original girl summoned her to the area by tricking her into thinking she had a sister to protect.
@@kccreationsgaming I see, but if so, who are we playing as on p1?
@@kccreationsgaming That makes a lot of sense 👍
"I hope you have a pleasant stay"
"i didn't like the look in her eyes"
"alright well I take that back have a bad day hope you slip"
we love chaotic Mike
I was on the verge of falling asleep when i heard him say that n started laughing n now i am fully awake lol I love watching his game plays❤❤
lol I know right, I'm dying from laughing too much XD
48:46 : "Here's your towel, enjoy. It's fluffy and fresh"
just saving cus its too wholesome
Actually Mike, the bed without a mattress is a traditional Japanese bed! Completely different then most north American beds
Spoilers for the later half of the video, so be careful if you haven’t seen it yet.
Ubume are the Japanese yo-Kai of pregnant women. They are most commonly appear in the form of a woman who has died during childbirth.
10:04 "Well what the heck is that?!" Famous last words in the horror genre.
I lost it when you said you hope the old ladies slip💀😭
36:40 Mike’s reaction to the groaning is hilarious omg
I have to wonder if in all these dev’s games the main character is an employee/worker, because of Japan’s hospitality and collectivism, to create unease. That is, individual needs are looked down less than the needs of society as a group. If the main character is working in a retail/service position, it is more difficult to just leave an uncomfortable situation, because that is considered inappropriate.
That may be why the main character bemoans when things get spooky and crazy, but keeps buckling down anyway.
(As far as I know, I only have a little information on this social issue in Japan. It just makes sense to me in context. Please correct me otherwise)
The reveal at the end that everyone in that town except for the 2 sisters you play as (obviously), the monk and the landlord and possibly(?) the grandma who's granddaughter fell victim to the curse was a ghost makes this game all the more intriguing, but also hilarious since it implies the ghosts came back to haunt the town just for free baths
There is a species of Macaques in Northern Japan (I believe) that uses natural hot springs as semi bathhouses so it makes sense that one might try and sneak into a bathhouse.
Down with a cold, nothing better than a horror game play through to make me feel better
Relatable honestly. Hope your cold is better if not gone now.
I started laughing so hard when he said, Dont attack us in the nuude.
“It’s rude”
Thank you for bringing light to these smaller horror games. Not a lot of gaming youtubers play horror anymore (or they have fake reactions). Your in depth videos are amazing and I look forward to your uploads every day!
I found you through White Day: A Labrynthe Named School.
I bought the game and wanted more insight to the ghosts and found you 🤗
Parasocial andy
I've heard white day is somehow similar to ihnmaims, is that true?
@@farted161 not sure as I havent played ihnmaims. You are in a school and basically have to escape. You are chased by a "bad guy" and come across many ghosts that can kill you or just scare you
nothing like being told 5 minutes in moving to your new home that you get told you stink 😂
I've been having a really rough week and today was just the worst, but watching your videos always make me feel better even on my worst days...thank you Mike!!!:)

We need a Chilla cinematic universe
Loving the Ju-On/Grudge vibes from this game, Chilla's is one of the most interesting dev's I've seen in a while.
Mike doing the voice acting for the characters is so adorable and hilarious.
The Bathhouse was super awesome, glad to see you're playing it Mike!
31:36- I run into that issue all the time! The answer to a "Do you mind" question is supposed to be opposite of what people usually think/say. "No, I dont mind." Means "Yes, go ahead" but people usually say the wrong thing without realizing it.
“He looks like a freakin toad or somethin” 😂😂
I believe that the stuff that you keep pulling out of the apartment wall seems to be hair based off the sound it makes when you pull it
I can't wait for the story explained on this game!

Mike being a *Savage*
so the bad ending, the ghost is released, it kills both monk and landlord, and then releases its wrath upon everyone in the ghost town.
the good ending, the final sacrifice fails, the ghost kills both monk and landlord, the ritual fails, and you are saved by someone.
even though you won the good ending, it's still kind of sad that you lost your sister, and your memory.
they said it's a full body fracture, maybe you have amnesia.
I think the whole area was haunted/cursed by unrested spirits caught in a time loop, for decades. Since the ritual was never properly completed, and all the former inhabitants died out, their restless spirits summoned a female to finish the ritual, by tricking her into thinking the 2nd victim was her sister, despite her never actually having a sister. It's not so much amnesia, as much as the curse was broken, which also broke the memories the spirits gave her of her fake sister.
As for the one that saves you, it's the son of the original victim. They rewarded you by saving you on the brink of death, for ruining the curse by setting the woman (his mother) free.
That's just my perspective on what happened, based on the evidence that was portrayed.
@@kccreationsgaming this makes more sense! thanks!
@@TrueInvisible No problem 🙂

I was looking for good horror CZcamsrs and I found your CZcams channel….
And I’m very glad that I did! You make such good content!
17:22 he might mean "if it weren't me" implying if it were anyone else with the exact same offer they would hurt the player character for rejecting the offer, trying to gaslight the player character saying that he would be a very nice and kind abusive creep.
It just goes to remind you that real-life tmonsters like traffickers are scarier than any kind of kappa or poltergeist.
I love seeing small and odd games being shown on your channel!
35:38
Same energy as the vine “I can’t believe you’ve done this.”
Way your voice is so sweet and cheerful though you are playing horror games ! It's so different in a good way!
I always love your vids so much
thank you for the great content and keep doing what your doing
Waiting for the story explained video for this game now 😃
I really like the playthroughs you make, they are very fun 🤩
Haven’t seen you in a while always good to come back
2:52 The tatami mat looks nice, I wonder how comfy they are? Is it like sleeping in a sleeping bag?
I feel like there has to be some alternate ending.
Why did the phone call give a number sequence that was never used (812, I think?). Also, what is the signifigance of the dolls? You showed the character receiving a doll twice, one normal and one bloodied. Could the dolls be burned in the furnace? Does the outcome change if you keep them? Is there perhaps a 3rd doll to represent the 3rd female sacrifice? The newpaper clearly said "Inside the ashes" leading to the key.
Was the wanted man with the hat just a ploy to distract the player from who the real killers were, or was he actually shunned by the town because he is actually the first sacrificed woman's son? Would the outcome change if you never spoke with the monk, or never pulled the hair out of the wall? Could Maina avoid the ghost chase by ending the night without investigating the bath water?
It could just be done for dramatic, panicked effect, but why include a 5 minute timer with an object placement puzzle if there was no change in outcome? You never did confirm if there was a real solution to the puzzle, after failing it twice. Unless there are things you did off camera, like burn the doll to get the key with the tongs, there seems to be a lot of missing steps to claim "All Endings Playthrough". It was more of a "Good + Bad Ending Playthrough" as there seems a decent chance of a hidden ending.
FRR I was wondering what will happen if you don't talk to the monk and offer anything in the duration of the whole game
This is my favorite time of the year because I call Autumn the season of Horror
I recommend you try playing OMORI after this. It's a really fun psychological horror rpg with an amazing story. I'd love to see a playthrough on this channel

The apartment from beginning kind of simmilar with that from 'Stigmatized Property'. Is it coincidence or all the other games from same dev are actually connected? (Or maybe the developer just got lazy to use same model from previous game lol)
21:19 How did the rising electrical bills get solved? I missed that one. Was that really the one person who went in there just to "find her missing earring"?
AMAZING
I love your stuff, Mike, I really do, but sometimes it’s super obvious you have no idea what’s happening, even before you say ‘I’ve never been to Japan’. I don’t know how much you read comments, but as a foreigner living here, I hope I can shed some light on/explain some of the things that you were confused about, just because a lot of it is common here but not something anyone would know about if they had never visited:
(I’m going to do a quick rewatch and take notes so I can hit everything in order. I’ll reply to original comment to keep it contained and concise.)
1. The landlord does look a LOT like the older Japanese men in more rural areas. Honestly, he looks exactly like my landlord, when he comes every other month to collect the community fees.
2. The scariest thing about this apartment is the state of the tatami room. The panels are super expensive to replace and so people do everything they can to keep them clean. It really speaks to how badly the space has been kept up and makes it way sketchier/creepier. However (having two tatami rooms in my apartment) I can also say that the walls are soft and thin, which makes the hole with the hair… plausible but still super creepy. The bed on the floor, however, is a traditional futon, which has a thin mattress that you put away in the morning and lay out at night. That’s not speaking to the cheapness of the lodging, but is a relatively common and normal thing.
3. The temple asking for donations is also not a scam, just like the commenter from Korea said. It’s customary for people to donate when they go to a shrine or temple. Five yen (pronounced ‘go en’) is customary because the pronunciation is close to ‘good luck’. (This comes into play when the shady dude pays you five yen later. And yes, that is exactly what five yen looks like. It and 50 yen have a hole in the center.)
4. In northern Japan, monkeys are associated with the natural hot springs, so that might be the connection? Not entirely sure.
5. In Japan, no one really uses dryers for laundry, so clothing lines are used. Since Maina doesn’t have a balcony to put a drying rack on, she hangs her laundry from the ceiling to dry. People also keep underwear inside to dry anyways to protect privacy.
6. The little wooden plaques that thank the supporters are prayer plaques that you can buy, write on, and hang up at a shrine/temple. Very common.
7. Matsuno is a woman. The little old ladies in Japan dress like this a lot because many of them enjoy gardening and want to avoid the sun. Notice the Sun bonnet, long sleeves, dress, leggings under the dress, boots and (I think) gloves.
8. The thing in the back of the boiler room is a clothes washing machine. Very common in Japan, these little washers. The drain tube is also normal.
9. The Chillatekes cult doesn’t actually exist, it’s a play on the creators, Chilla’s Art. They got the name from ‘chinchilla’.
10. I may be wrong, but ‘Candy store’ may be a mistranslation for ‘General store’?
11. The use of hair here is really interesting but not totally surprising. The tradition of hair used in horror goes back to Yotsuya Kaidan, a very famous Japanese ghost story. Ju-On and Ringu also borrow from this tradition and the modern image of ōnryo comes from this story.
the title screen and thinbnail is reminding me of the ghostwire tokyo paythrough on this channel
got into this channel because of the dark deception storyline, and was into it since. ly mike
