- Lazaret is an atmospheric first-person horror game. You play as a member of a rescue team called out to investigate a distress signal coming from a ship that disappeared 4 years ago. This is a full playthrough of the Lazaret demo. The full game launches in early 2023.

The fact you can whistle and those things whistle back is so simple but so unsettling. Reminds me of that one horror movie where the mom is playing a clapping game blindfold with her kid, but a ghost in the house does the same to lure her in.
Is that the conjuring ?
The conjuring.
@@BunnyPlays651 that’s the one
The conjuring
Ah! Im remember that movie since i was a kid too, pretty scary as well.
Finally someone made a game that you can explore a haunted ship in first person. Back when I was doing training to become a ship captain, we had mandatory watch’s we had to go to I typically got sat with 12pm-4am and walking around the ship to check that nothing had failed or had come loose was a very unnerving experience. The ship would always creak and the water hitting the bow would make a weird noise sometimes, I’m glad someone finally captured that in a video game cause touring that ship at night was super unnerving
whoa, thats so interesting!!
Agreed I had my fair share of weird ship noises that make you think the damn things haunted and always wondered why there's so few horror games on a ship
I am honestly surprised myself that ships do not get used more often in horror settings. Because when you think about it, you cannot just get up and leave unless it is tied up in port or in a dry dock (unless you want to drown or get sliced by the churning propellers). The watertight doors, cavernous cargo holds, and twisty passages help make it even more unnerving. Submarines would make good settings too because usually when something goes wrong, it is fatal for all of the sailors. I remember going on the USS Torsk in Baltimore and man that thing was cramped.
@@genultz4866 not ship but a submarine movie horror. Dont remember the name but I remember they said the sub was cursed. It was during a war and one particular event sticks with me and its out of 4 barrels of bomb that was tossed in water only one didn't blow up. It just rolled over the chassi of the submarine.
@@CountvonStaffordofVirginia1607 just wanted you to read my other comment about the submarine horror, unfortunately no boat horror tho
13:02 What a scary but clever game mechanic. I remember thinking myself I couldn't whistle to save my life. Who knew I was right to such a dangerous degree?
7:23 "We got a shadow. Wait. There's nothing there."
How to sum up every horror game.
Dude, just because they don't respond doesn't mean you're safe.
The note says that they won't respond if you're too close.
He seems to forget that very important piece of information
The amount of anxiety it gave me lmao
so the word lazaret is defined as a low space under the main deck, used as a storeroom.
I did find a similar word to lazaret, which is lazaretto, which is defined as a hospital treating contagious diseases or a quarantine area for maritime travelers.
fun fact: barnacles are edible and a crustacean. not only that, barnacles can also grow on human flesh, and are parasites (at least a few. not all barnacles are parasitic)
just make sure to treat any injury you get if a barnacle manages to break skin (they have sharp edges, apparently)
Thanks for the information!
I wonder what barnacles would taste like…. LOL, now I’m curious!
@@skellington8090 apparently like crab or lobster
@@highshipper9222 Heck yeah, I love seafood!
@@skellington8090 I do too!
I'm seeing more reactions on his voice than before it's pretty interesting because you can both just scream without realizing it in your head
This game reminds me A LOT of a game i saw a playthrough of back around 2010.
In that other game You were part of a rescue team or scout sent to check up on a distress signal from a stranded Russian icebreaker, and you had to deal with a cold/heat mechanic, while also uncovering the mystery of why so many frozen statues are doing action shots all over the ship.
I don’t want to say more, as some neat little experiences + payoff that game has would be spoiled, but i really wanna find the name of that game now
Edit:
Found it, is called Cryostasis: Sleep of reason.
The game itself looks great so far. I'd love to see a full playthrough when the full game releases
Laid up in bed with the worst cold/flu these last few days feel terrible but watching your videos makes me feel better. Thank you Mike 😊
I hope you feel better soon.
@@msjoycie thank you angel 😇 💓
Ayo feel better soon
22:49 ngl i have genuinely never seen mike scream so high-
Awesome video as always, SuperHorrorBro! Lazaret is probably the most unnerving horror game concept I've seen so far this year. The atmosphere is insane and so foreboding. That whistling mechanic and the enemies are so creepy, and even just the atmosphere of the cold steely ship is so unnerving. I hope to see your playthrough when the full game comes out!
I loved the creepy atmosphere of the game, a whole playthrough would be great to watch! :)
That's a pretty cool demo, I like the concept and the whistling mechanic which has an unaettling touch
water/underwater is my favorite horror!! I want the full playthrough!
Two videos in one day! Hail the unholy horror gods for this gift!
Wow, this game is like ... super intense.
I get so nervous and itchy by just watching, I could never imagine playing it myself 😅
💀💀 so spooky! This is a game that could be great because you're not sure what to expect of the enemies. Can't wait for the full release!
I’d very much like to see a full play through of this when it comes out! And a story explained if you feel this game warrants one. This game feels like a blend of Outlast and the movie Ghost Ship I love it!
I really hope you do a full playthrough! I want to see more for sure...what a cool whistling mechanic and creepy setting.
The perfect video to watch with some cookies !
I’m a big fan. Continue being super !
Please play it when it comes out! I love this and can't wait to see what they do with it.
I always had an interest in "haunted ship" games ever since I played 'Titanic: Adventure Out of Time' on my old Windows 98 desktop computer.
While obviously not a horror game, the music and atmosphere gave a creepy vibe.
Haunted Ships in general are more scary than Haunted Houses, as unlike with houses you cannot simply escape the ship once it is out in the sea.
You are trapped unless a helicopter saves you.
This is one of my favorite channels for video game related content.
Thanks for the awesome videos as always SHB! Your videos combined with your voice are such a comfort for me 😊😊
4:59 seeing mike scared is nice change of paste lol
The ugly barnacle was so ugly that everyone died.
The End.
(I'm sorry this came into my brain when seeing this 😂)
The whistling sound is terrifying 🌚 it sounds happy
when the run icon showed up for the first time I legit started panicking
I enjoy all your videos even though I don't play games for consoles I just like watching and hearing the stories. Keep the vids going!
This game looks so cool I cant wait to see the full game.
This video is amazing! You did this good horror bro 🙂✔️
Good ol misdirection, the note says that if u whistle the enemy will respond. Mike didn't realize the note also says if you're too close it won't respond back.
10:50 Daaaang! is Michael Myers on this ship?!
Full playthrough would bbe awesome
This was really cool! Cant wait to see the full game
Hey, love your content Mike!
Woah I’ll definitely watch it hope you play the full game 😊
I like that you almost broke into song.
Now this is weird,
it's much worse than I feared!
I approached that guy and then he disappeared!
Omg I was hoping you'd play this :D
YO 2 UPLOADS?!?!? YESSIR
(also imagine being in the same scenario and not being able to whistle)
Ooh I hope you play it when it comes out that looked awesome and on a ship! Kool 😃
when i saw this on another channel i hoped you would play it. so happy you did!!! :D
I am actually curious about this game. I wouldn't mind a let's play series on this when the full game is out! :)
I’m so excited to see the full game :D
Can't wait for you play it!
This game looks great! I hope you do play the full version when it’s released
I liked that demo ! I want to see the full game. For now, I'll just seat and chill, like those creepy statues.
I'd love to see a playthrough of the full game when it releases
Looking forward to the full game!!
our guy run in this game like a snail
I think the whistling is the barnacles warning you of the big guy.
I've never heard this dude scream before
Wow SuperHorrorBro you are brave me and other CZcamsrs I’ve seen play horror games have screamed their pants off, but wow are you brave lol😂❤❤
Ok this game is insanely good I can't wait to see when is finally out
Awesome and cool!
I'd love to see you play the full game
Something I find funny, are plots that seem plausible but really aren't. If a rescue operation really went bad, I feel like protocol is actually to save yourself first. The crew would have turned around the second things got bad or the protagonists protocol would be to stay where they are or move to a type of place their team regroups at not to continue the mission
The whistle back in response is wayyy scarier through the game
Looks cool, Love some nautical horror!
I hope Mike plays this game when it does come out. Having to whistle to hear any threats, whether they answer back or nothing is there is really unnerving to me more than even the main enemy was.
Like I love this. Haunted ships 🚢. I’m here for this full game Mike 🥹🔥🌟
That game looks awesome, I would like to see the full game and story
I actually like this Mike. I hope that you'll cover it
I can't wait to see the full game
Can We Call Those Statues "Whistlers"?

Hi superhorrobro you should play penumbra overture its an old game with an amazing story and ambience!
Really getting Resident Evil 7 and 8 vibes from this. Wonder if that was the inspiration.
I love your poppy playtime videos and security breach
A haunted boat signed me up
I would like to watch you play: the glitched attraction, i think you could like It
An alien isolation mechanic
This game is 100% inspired by Outlast but that makes it good enough but leaves space for its original mechanics wich makes it awesome!
this is so cool like holy crap
More please! :D
wow so interesting 🤔
Reminds me of Cryostasis sprinkled with a little RE and a little Outlast. I'd be curious to see how ths game progresses.
That ghost in the door of the menu screen scare me
BARNACLE MONSTERS💀
Theory you might explain: All the statue are actually the crew members that encounter the beast.
This game is actually scary😳
It's barnacle man from SpongeBob!
Nice
Oh I saw someone playing this before
Now I need to learn how to whistle 🤣
Well I wanna see the full detail of this game and yes I want to see you play in like a test for me
SPOOKY
Cool
