@@ansel203 our useless FBI cannot afford another Jan 6th fiasco. They’ve labeled Qanon a “domestic t/err/orist threat” that poses “a threat to national security” and have publicly warned law enforcement that Q followers are likely to carry out further acts of violence.
Now, imagine an entire town being led and governed by Neo-N/az/is, or The Proud Boys, or Oath Keepers. Surely you’d think the FBI would have them under constant surveillance? If Waco, Move!, The Peoples Temple, or the Rajneeshi cults are of any indication.
There has been investigative reporting of the FBI having infiltrated almost every domestic threat group community. In fact, that’s how they foiled that little “kidnap the governor of Michigan” plot.

Santa Barbara, California needs your help! It used to be a liberal town but we have a Republican mayor who got in on the quiet.
And have you heard of Matt Coleman? Nobody has! Because the story has been hushed up by the local holy roller Christian churches who have people in local government now.
Matt was the Santa Barbara Christian surf instructor who drove his two children, Kaleo, age 4, and Roxy Rain, age 10 months, to Baja, Mexico and speared them to death 29 times!!!!!!!!!
The farmerworker who found them freshly mutilated dead in a ditch (thanks to his bravest dog) is suicidal now and no one cares about his mental state.
Out of Matt’s own mouth he told police that he did it because Qanon taught him that his children and wife were lizard people and he had to protect the world from them.
He was caught driving back home. Probably to murder his wife too. She didn’t have a clue about any of this.
Not one word spoken about this in Santa Barbara. Nothing in the newspapers since the day it happened last summer. No info on funerals. No updates. It’s all hushed up.
I found out where they lived from the BBC news app - British news. I took flowers. 💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐it’s a blue and white house near hendrys beach if anyone wants to bring flowers. The neighbors want it hushed-up too.
There was more news coverage on Mexican TV than in the USA. The Mexicans must think Americans are all deranged. They call the children “angels”.

This is a victory well worth celebrating because even though Sequim itself has a liberal contingent, it sits in pretty heavily conservative greater surroundings: this could very easily have gone the other direction. They see significant tourism revenue, especially in summer months, so they've really suffered these last two summers under the pandemic (as we all have in one way or another, my point being that it's a perfect setup for that resentment against precautions to fester and infect a whole community). I hope this can continue and serve as an example for us all to follow - Sequim is a really beautiful place with a lovely Lavender Festival every July, if you ever get the chance I definitely recommend visiting!

As many articles already pointed out, the Republicans have lost the popular vote the majority of the time and relied on the electoral votes to overcome the majority vote.
This means it is in the Republican interest to prove this as untrue or face the a fracturing of their own party and a growing resistance to keeping the electoral college in place.
It even affects the support for practices like the filibuster, when the majority know they are being under-represented they will eventually rise up and vote in representatives who in turn seek change.
So yes not voting is harmful as it allows the opponents to control the narrative.
PS: there are instances that people assume their vote wont matter so they don't vote, but the margins were so small that if they did vote the result would of flipped. You can look and listen what the agenda the new candidate has! Would you like a board member to tell your kids what books to read and what not to read. I wouldn't, it's my decision to educate my child on morals and help my child grow up to make those decisions for himself or herself one day! When my kids were school age they would bring library books to read and I would sit and hear them read their book. When they got older they read their own books but I still would look and see the titles of those books on their desk. PARENTS,dont let strangers do your job! Because you will start giving up running your household, family and then you give up your country to quacks who will destroy your way of life. But all your Establishment does, day in and day out, is push a constant and consistent narrative about those who are right of centre, tarring them all with the same brush. From Obama to JFK (last 5 dem admins) 7 indictments, 3 convictions, 1 prison time.
From GWB to Nixon (last 5 Rep before Trump) 126 Indictments, 113 convictions, 39 prison time.

We talk about the right-wing a whole lot but no one really confronts the fake "progressive" movement. These people are just as bad, in my opinion. They preach about wanting everything delivered now, to their specifications, and when a candidate has the balls to point out that some of these things might not be possible right now they throw a tantrum. Too many people who call themselves "progressive" are anything but. Just look at what the Bernie supporters did in 2016, sacrificing millions of people they claim to care about to a disgusting government they knew would target them. They claim to be an ally of minorities, but they were quick to throw everyone else under the bus when they didn't get their unicorn. The far-right and the far-left are equally dangerous when it comes to governance, and we need to recognize this and treat them with the same disdain.

How easy it is to dupe these perpetually angry and gullible people was foreshadowed with the “Obama’s a Kenyan” conspiracy. He released the long form of his birth certificate-the most decisive and clear official documentation-and we 100% know his mom was an American. But my mom and many, many others still believe to this day that he wasn’t born an American citizen. Literally all the facts that could be given were given, and Republicans dismissed them as a conspiracy. How do you argue against these people if facts phase in-and-out of being real depending on what’s easier for them to believe?

As a big city boy (Seattle, 1946) I moved to Sequim (1998) having experienced the country side of the town at the age of 16 when my parents sent me here to work on my uncle's dairy farm for the summer. At that time there was one stop light, two small grocery stores and cows and open fields everywhere. By the time of my re-arrival that one stop light had turned into about 12, there were major grocery stores and big box stores and most of the open fields were all covered with houses. Parts of town even resemble California suburbs more than they do western Washington rural. Whatever the case, we have attracted most of the right people--a wonderful mix of moderate folks who lean a bit to the left and to the right but work well together and simply aren't going to put up with the nonsense that troublemakers like Qanon attempt to introduce into the works.
