Omg I've been doing everything to try and get my Blaster to idle. So I went into my garage and took the locking nut off of the carburetor to see if that was the issue. Sure enough the Blaster started on the 1st kick and FINALLY it idled. So taking off the carb to Dremel a little but off of the idle collar. Thank you so much for your detailed video that fixed my issue. I've been going crazy over this thing.

Thanks for the video. I just subscribed. I recently bought an 01 blaster with the exact same thing as yours. The tors box is still there but wires are cut. I had a question. My carb looks just like yours but it has no brand name on it. It also has no pin that aligns the throttle barrel so it can just spin somewhat. I also can't get an idle. I rebuilt the carb because it was severely leaking so now it doesn't leak. Something doesn't seem right with the throttle barrel just able to spin? Not sure if I should get a new cap and stuff like you did. Also what size throttle cap was that. And I bought a jet kit and of course they don't fit, a little big. The more I learn about carburetors the more I just want to bring it to the shop. Thanks

I know there is a off brand carb for the blaster. I dont know much about them but the people on the forums seem to hate on them. Mite be worth looking into a factory carb off ebay. That way all the aftermarket jets kits and stuff will work. Make sure its a mukuni brand one.

well the issue that i was having which i do believe that its the tors system which what happend was i was sending it at full throttle and the when i let off the throttle it just revved out of countrol and when i tired to turn it off by the switches they didnt work and it was just screaming and i have a video of it doing that which idk how it did that but i need to find anwsers

is there supposed to be a little spring on the idle adjustment screw? I used my belt sander to flatten the angled port before drilling and tapping but it seems like it needs a spring between the head and lock nut?

Most carb adjustment screws do, like lawnmower and car carburetors. My kit only had the set screw but a spring would prob be nice.

A pull a way switch like the ones used on jet ski should make a safer kill switch

When you drill the hole what is the set screw for?

The throttle over ride "TORS" unit thats above your caburetor controls the idle speed. Once you remove it with this kit there is nothing to keep your throttle cracked open for idle. So you drill that hole where there would have been a set screw to control ur idle speed. The set screw just keeps the throttle slide open a little for idle, doing what the tors was doing.
