@@AutoBuddynz I did the self scan/reset procedure thingy and said ok. No more light, may just take out 100mls at a time if it carry on..then get a scan tool. Cheers mate
I was going 77 mph in hot 105 degree sunny day.The oil light flashed for a few minutes time to time. I checked the oil level on a near gas station and it was full. This is fresh oil with only 300 miles on it. So I dropped my speed from 77 miles to 68 miles per hour and finished my next 450 miles with no more light flashing. I can’t believe I have to keep a low speed. Is it normal? I owned my 09 sprinter only for two months and made less than a thousand miles on her.
Get an oil pressure gauge and monitor the issue, between the same speed when problem occurs. It could be as simple as a faulty sensor, but if its something a bit more serious then the external oil pressure gauge can prevent serious damage early on.
@@AutoBuddynz Thank you. Sprinter has only 52k miles. I will get the external oil pressure gauge. Would you please recommended any type for the qauge or instruction how other people do it?
@@SashkoBurshtyn Something like this would work, www.repairmanuals.co/products/mercedes-benz-oil-pressure-gauge You could possibly use a diagnostic scanner as well to data log and monitor the oil pressure. However the Guage might be a better stand alone option.
Goodmorning.but do they have the engine oil signal please like all other cars? Thank you.
If you are referring to the oil pressure light then yes they do.
Is there a way to check the coolant temperature? I held the M button and the MPH changed to temp. Is that coolant temp?
Yes thats correct, if you cycle through the menu you will see coolant temp with the gauge.
Excellent info thanks. My auto diesel 2013 merc sprinter has a rotten egg smell when it first starts up.Any clues why?
Do you have an overheating issues? Or lack of power? Are your DPF and CAT functioning as normal?
Hi there, my oil level is high, but just under the max mark on dipstick and oil level light keeps flashing, HOW TO TURN OFF? lol. Thanks in advance..
Get your van scanned, sounds like a faulty sensor
