New Traffic Signal Setup with Flashing Right Arrow

- So this setup is a mix of a Montréal Advanced arrow (the kind where the right turn arrow comes on when the pedestrian clearance phase starts) and flashing yellow arrow. The bus priority phase always goes first, followed by phase two and five (flashing green arrow). Once phase six starts, the through arrow will display and the right arrow will flash yellow. The walk phase is set to "rest in walk" for the duration of this phase. If you press the side street pedestrian button, the green arrow displays (bi-modal) and pedestrian clearance begins. The "emergency priority signals" will only display if a preemption is called. The side street phase is the same as before (Montréal Advanced arrow and an advanced walk and PED clear before phase eight turns green).
Another preemption will recall the bus priority signal. Eventually I'll have detectors and the Opticom system set up to run this sequence but manual buttons will do the trick for now! - Zábava
This is really cool, my favourite. Great Job!!!
is it old?
0:04 I think I just heard 2 Canadian Melodies playing at the same time.
Yup
apparently this moment was most replayed and i respect that
@@huang91905yep, if you move your slider to that place you will see stars and see words saying “most replayed”

That's really cool
When I lived in Virginia in the 1970s, the city of Alexandria had some lights with a flashing right yellow arrow on the very bottom that began flashing after the light turned red. The sequence was green, then yellow, then red with the yellow arrow flashing. I never knew if the flashing went for the entire red phase or what--we moved west in 1975 and when I check on MapQuest I don't seem to see this kind of signal. Then again I remember some intersections with those triangular islands between the intersection itself and the right-turn ramp with a yield sign. In these triangular islands they had a single-section light that blinked a yellow right arrow ALL the time--I guess those are gone now.
I found out the yellow right arrows that were in Montreal actually were solid arrows that came on when the other signals were green. They were very over engineered intersections.
Regarding the constant flashing arrows, it seems like a "keep right" signal!
That looks nice.
I like the sound in 0:16
It’s called Canadian Melody.
Great Video! Do you still have that Open/Close sign?
I certainly do!
I remember in Alexandria, Virginia ( late 1960s and early 1970s ) a light might have a flashing yellow RIGHT arrow that came on when the lights turned red. So the phase was: green, then yellow, then red with FYA. The FYA was right unde4rneath the green. I don't know if it flashed the whole time the light was red or not. Or if Alexandria still has lights like these.
Michael Webb I think parts of Montreal, Quebec may have had lights like that too way back when. I've never seen one in service!
Is the yellow traffic light gold not metallic gold or gold yellow or amber color I can't figure it out that's not regular yellow
2:20 why did the pedestrian signal go to walk as as soon as you pressed the button?
Same answer as before
The small yellow didn’t work
Time for a new tv
Haha this thing is a relic but it's great for playing Duck Hunt!
6:03 what even caused 2 traffic signals to flash?
That was a preemption! You can set the signals to flash mode!
Hey what's that sound at 0:05? Sounds cool.
Jay Gurley It's called the Canadian Melody. It's used in place of the "chirping" sounds for the crosswalks in most Canadian cities!
Wow man nice traffic lights but Minecraft city has them in downtown East town West town south town north town Minecraft city is only in minecraft
Actually, I saw a left yellow arrow flashing in Kuala Lumpur.
Very cool! Yeah they have them in quite a few places! Not in Canada though! Just for this setup!
Don’t miss Don’t walk, Saturdays and Sundays at 10/9c during Freeform’s 25 Days of Christmas.
where can i buy those?
eBay or local buy and sell should help you out!
Awesome!
Kasey Thanks!
You’re welcome
What’s that sound in 1:13
That’s the accessible pedestrian signal for the visually impaired! It’s the “cuckoo” sound!
no visors yet :(
piktureit I haven't found any yet! I may be able to get some from the city!
Aww btw what is the white I for?
piktureit It's a transit priority signal. It's normally used for busses or trams so they can get a head start on traffic. Sometimes it's angled to the left or right depending on the direction of travel.
New video has visors!
1:06 Why did I hear the law and order sound
It was my text tone at the time lol
Oh lol
That was perfect timing tho
i thought it was the traffic lights
