It's clear in your examples these tips work! I've collected a variety of belts and I'm experimenting with them to salvage some of the oversized and billowy tops I already have. Some work better than others.

Wow Kyle. Thanks for your encouragement and your openness. Life stage change can be tough. Quite a few of my clients go through the same thing and find working with their wardrobes helps. Marti Brown you are very kind, and thank you for the compliment. That picture is about 3 years old and i had a lot of filler injections. Just went through a divorce 2 years ago. Sorry for yours. Dont worry about age. Work on being the best you and others will see it !
Kyle Guersey - Well I'm sorry you had to go through a divorce also. Did you try any dating apps? I'm so used to dating younger men and this guy I'm talking to now seems perfect except he's 4 years older. If I could talk him into Botox (and maybe some fillers, and a stylish haircut and clothes, I would be all about dating him and maybe take it a step further. But I'm not going to bring it all up yet! My last husband was 16 years younger, and after being married 10 years he decided he wanted children of his own. We tried but I was obviously too old. It was an amicable split because everyone deserves to have their own children! He even gives me advice on what to wear when I go on a date or go out. 😊

I'm a bit like an icecream on a stick! 😆. A fashion expert in a store once told me to wear big belts on my hips. Does this sound correct to you? I would really appreciate your advice. Thanks for your comment. That could work, but I'm always for emphasize your waist first. Then if you want to add extra to your hips, sometimes belts can do the trick.

Yes the shape of the top needs to be right and so does the fabric. If the top is flared at the hem, it will work better. Does that make sense?
