Out of all my travels in 137 countries, it is right here, in Iran, where I have found the most hospitable and friendly people. Complete strangers coming up to me on the street, from big cities to small towns, offering me a cup of tea in their shop or a bed to sleep in their home.
I'm convinced that I could come to Iran with $0 in my pocket and easily be able to make friends, find delicious meals and be welcomed in a comfortable home like family. Seriously, it’s almost like Iranian people force you into their homes (in a good way!)
Over the last 2 weeks, I’ve told dozens of Iranians that I am both American and Jewish, and contrary to what you may think, it makes them like me even more, peaking their interest and asking more questions. I have not felt a minuscule of negative hostility yet from anyone in this lovely country called Iran.
Also, as I have now published 10 videos about Iran so far -- it really makes me laugh when I read some of the comments and hear people calling my videos "propaganda." These videos are the farthest thing away from propaganda!!! They are telling you the downright truth from my experiences in Iran. Nobody told me to make this video (or any video). I made this because I feel the need to share what I am seeing to you. And I hope that by watching this video (and my others about Iran) -- that you will remove your negative stereotypes about this humble nation and realize that it's one of the safest and best places to visit on our planet.
If you have ever been to Iran, and you agree with what I am saying, then please share your thoughts or a quick moment/story from your experience with the people here. I want the entire world to know!!!

Being Saudi, I study in the US and I have 2 roommates from Iran. They are the kindest people I've ever met and they're the closest friends to me. Respect to Iran from Saudi Arabia.

I spent a month there back in 2004. I am pretty sure they invented hospitality! It was quite a joy to see your updated images of Iran. We were walking in part of the old city, through those mud brick lined streets and I turned around to find my friend Ruth was missing. We carried on down the street for a while, stopping here and there. Finally she caught up to us with a smile far to big to wipe off her face. A girl of about 12 had seen her, took her by the hand, guided her into their home and sat her down. They spoke no English and she only had a few words of Persian. They plied her with tea, cookies and fruit and everyone sat smiling and gesturing to each other, then she left. No words could describe the joy and happiness she was radiating when she caught up to us. Truly are spectacularly warm, inviting and authentic people. I hope to return, there were many places I did not get to see!

As an Irani this video really warmed my heart, thank you for having such nice words to say about my country (also I got really happy seeing you in my home city of Shriaz walking through the bazaar).

The best video you ever made, Drew. I see it and I wanna cry when these images bring to my mind all the deep memories I have about my trip to Iran two years ago. The most incredible people on Earth, and I'm not exaggerating. Everybody should visit this marvelous land at least once in their lives to experience what you and me lived.

Iran is an amazing country, it’s history, it’s people it’s monuments. It’s such a shame that most beautiful countries these days get such a bad reputation by media. I have Persian ancestry and my ancestors were born in Iran. I always thought that it’s dangerous there and that it’s not safe but I was wrong.
