mine is Switzerland
Italy, I’ve stayed in a little village called Castel Vittorio, there’s not much to do but it’s a cozy medieval village, then you could drive to Bordighera and walk around in their old town.
Currently in the UAE but my heart will always be home … Namibia !!!!
India
Mexico 🇲🇽 been to CDMX and Puebla so underrated!!!!
"Government is one thing, People is another thing", simple explanation about my country, Tnx Drew 🙏👍
It's not though. All things are intertwined. It might help you feel good to say that but ultimately the government are made of people from the country.
@@canismajoris6733 Yes, in Iran an Irish tourist was recently arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison on spy charges because he was taking pictures of the country. This guy sugar-coated A LOT . Saying that a country is safe because nothing happened to him is just a plain fallacy. It can be indeed a beautiful country with nice locals but would you risk getting arrested out of nowhere and being thrown in jail without even a fair trial, just for the sake of "nature and hospitality"? A country may be safe on the a street level, but what do you even do when government itself is the bad guy?
You miss the point. Just because government authoritarians are also Iranian, that does not mean Iranians are all authoritarian.
@@rodolfocaires9613 This kind of highlights his point that the government and its people are 2 different things. Of course… I take your point that going there to enjoy the people is not worth the risk of the government

There are indeed places to avoid, like anywhere else in the world, but if you travel with someone local who knows where to go, how to get there, and the best things to do, you will have an extraordinary experience. (That's what we do, sorry for the add).
Just a clarification, the archaeological site of Teotihuacan is not part of the Mayan culture and not even of the Aztec one. It is older; it thrived until 750 CE, and the people that built it was, no surprise, the Teotihuacans. Later, the Aztecs named it Teotihuacan, meaning the birthplace of the gods.
Apologies if someone already wrote this somewhere (there are too many comments!).
Mexico was great i don’t know why people think it’s so dangerous, and I stayed at hostels mostly
@@hockey_highlights_and_more Well the news are known for highlighting the most dramatic events everywhere, and they just want to sell the story. Mexico is perfectly fine to visit, it's just a mater of being a sensible traveller.
Idk pretty sure I heard a gun shot when I was in Tulum. And just recently there was news about a tourist from my country who was listening to music in the garden (in Tulum again) with friends when someone started shooting at them between the fence. She got shot but is alive but a couple of them got killed. That's not something that would happen in my country.
(I did like my time in Mexico a lot though)

I am literally crying tears of joy dear Drew. As a Persian/ Iranian, it is a great honour to be ranked #2 out of 179 countries! Literally amazing! I've always wished more people would come to Iran and discover this ancient gem that literally shaped the world starting 3000 years ago with the Achaemenids, then the Parthians, then the Sassanids, and since the Islamic golden age Persia was the biggest contributor to arts, poetry, architecture, design, science, mathematics and so much more... Thank you Drew I love you from your Iranian brother 😊❤️
We Indians love Iranians too❤. We share a lot in common. Nowadays many Iranians come here to study. Also we have the largest Zorastrian population in the world, and they are our pride(we call them "Parsee"). They have given us gems like Homi Jehangir Bhaba, JRD Tata, Dadabhai Naoroji, Freddie Mercury etc.

The portion of Afghanistan made me suddenly start crying involuntarily. Seeing those clips and hearing your words made me wish how much I had the opportunity to experience that country the way you did.
I spent a couple years cumulatively in Afghanistan as a Marine and then as a contractor, but my experiences were vastly different. Despite being there in a different capacity, one of the things I remember most is how gorgeous that country is, and how varying the terrain is depending on where you are. Sunrises in the mountains and valleys in the Nangarhar & Kunar provinces will always stay with me.
I would have loved to see where the Buddha’s stood, but the country was surrounded by history everywhere. I remember coming to land our helicopter at a small FOB south of Kabul and having a guy point to an old structure on top of a small hill and yelling “f*cking Alexander the Great, dude.” I remember taking a picture of the old fort from a distance and thinking how neat it would be to go walk through there and think about the history of that spot.
The most kind and deserving people ever. One of my happiest memories is of when we gave a pack full of random books to a local villager in our area. The tears of joy and him wiping them away and asking us to take his picture with us and the books. He was learning English and hoped to come to the U.S. one day with his family. His only way of practicing English was with troops and old pages from magazines and other reading stuff he had collected over time. Giving him that bag of random books was like a pathway to his dream in that moment. It’s interesting now, looking back at all the people you met in what feels like an entirely separate life, and thinking where they’re all at now. How many got out, how many are hiding, how many are dead. All displaced. That said, those are some of the toughest people I’ve ever met so I have hope. Inshallah, right?
Thank you for the memories, and I couldn’t be happier that I’ve stumbled across your page.
As a Persian, no offense to you, I found it quite insulting to be said we're similar to Afghans! Vast majority of Iran's population is educated! There are more than 2000 universities all over Iran and some of the best schools of the world like Sharif university. Majority of Iranian either don't believe in Islam and dont identify themselves as Muslim specially among the young generation of Iran (exactly opposite in Afghanistan). Iran's cusine, literature and cultre is incomparable with Afghans and you mentioned it's similar! They're not!
Iran government is to blame for all these.
@@EnigmaizerhIf anyone should be offended it should be the Afghani people who were compared to the Iranians. The Afghans are a people who are known to be warriors and unconquered. You do not speak for the majority of Iranians, you only speak for yourself. We know you are a liberal aka lgbtqwxyz supporter and tolerater.
I also served in Afghanistan and traveled all throughout the country. The landscapes are incredible and it breaks my heart knowing that almost every single living soul in that country only knows war.

Venezuela truly is magical. There is no place in the world quite like it. It’s been 5 years since I’ve been there, and I want to go back so bad. Even though I was born and raised in the US, as a Venezuelan myself, there’s something about it that gravitates me. It really feels like home. I hope things improve over there, I know I’ll absolutely move there if they do.
I honestly can't imagine, given their regime and current crisis. Can you explain the appeal? I would be afraid to go, and for context I've been to 5 South American countries solo, 3 said to be quite dangerous
@@sleepnomore6065 There is such a strong negativity bias portrayed in the media, especially regarding failed states such as Venezuela. All we seem to hear about from outside the country is how awful it is. What the media does not care to show is the rich culture, lovely people, and beautiful landscapes of Venezuela. A government, no matter how bad it may be does not define the people. In fact, the terrible government has united the people in solidarity against it which I have seen strongly in my own personal circles. We can’t ignore the issues that take place but we shouldn’t dwell on them either.
I can’t describe why Venezuela is such a special place. It’s something that must be experienced. I’m not asking you or anyone to visit Venezuela, but I encourage you to look beyond what the media portrays and see a the richness behind my country.

I loved Afghanistan, which I visited in 1975. Herat was like stepping back 1000 years, all mud brick buildings, even my hotel, almost no cars, just horse carts and electricity only about four hours per day. I remember falling asleep to the sound of horses pulling their carts. The people were fantastic. They were the most proud, independent people I've ever met and no foreign power can ever invade them successfully. The Russians and Americans were fools to try. I hope this country regains it's freedom soon. I rank it as the most interesting country I've been to, I been to over 110. Can't wait to go back. Turkey, Mexico and the Philippines are also great places. Other countries I loved include Greece, Brazil, Nepal, India, and many more.

I love your enthusiasm about countries that many of would never think of going to. You really give a feel of just how nice the people are and how rich these cultures are.
I’ll never forget my Filipino best friend, he always puts a smile on my face when teaches me guitar, sadly the poor guy passed away one year ago from the damn COVID, rest in peace ferdy

This video is really making us want to explore the world so much more! Turkey and the Philippines are places we've been longing to go to for ages. Good to hear they live up to the hype!
Right on! Bit of a traveller myself, since 1980 and I've seen some of these countries and admire your general take.Travel broadens the mind and you sir, manifest that very well indeed. Respect!
as an iranian,i'm so happy that you liked our country:) love ur vids!💕
Iran seems a very interesting country.
@@GreatCityAttractions it is interesting.
Felt really good to see Afghanistan and Iran to be ranked among top 3 best destinations by someone who had traveled all over the globe. They really deserves to be loved and they're very rich in history, culture and by hearts.
Love from Pakistan 🇦🇫❤️🇵🇰❤️🇮🇷
On the other hand, he's a guy. A woman couldn't go there and have the same experience that he did.
FACTS!!!!!!!
I have no qualms with Iran being up there (heard it's lovely and it has a rich history) but Afghanistan (it has a rich history as well but you just can't overlook the taliban) definitely doesn't sound like a place you should be recommending your viewers to visit...
@@shaaravguha3760 I agree. Although as a female, I'm not sure what Iran is like to visit, especially if you are alone.
@@bingonamo7520’ve heard of many women going there and having no problems whatsoever. Not sure how it is now
As a half Filipino half Turk, thank you for visiting both my countries! I'm glad we were able to give you good hospitality and see that you had a great time. ❤❤🇹🇷🇵🇭
What a great combo you got there!
Where do you reside? Turkey or PH?
@@islalakwatsa4730 I was born and raised in Turkey
@@grey17322 have you visited PH? I heard about Turkish food and of course, i love the touristy areas that Drew didnt mention 😁 if not for covid, I would have travelled there in 2020
@@islalakwatsa4730 Yes I have, I've been to the Philippines 4 times and I love it there! It makes me feel at home.
And you are always welcome to Turkey, Istanbul and Izmir are the main cities I would recommend to tourists, these cities are the biggest metropolitan cities and you can find all sorts of Turkish cuisine there. (and of course in other provinces)
You're amazing, Drew. I love your channel and your personality! I wish you and Deanna and your families all the best.
As an Iranian I've always loved Afghan people and felt close to them..
I feel like pur culture is really close and I'm happy to see us next to eachother in this video. I really am sad for them and for us and I home everything gets better soon.
Iran and Afghanistan are strengthening ties. The railroad connection has been completed so trade will increase between the two countries but also the old silk road from China via AFG Iran Turkey to Europe is being worked on, inshaAllah. Can you imagine traveling to China train via AFG and vice versa? So, let's be optimistic :)
Can we all appreciate the fact that Drew Binsky never disappointed us with his content 👍👍👍
I didn't expect to see my country Venezuela in this list. Thank you for sharing the side of the country that news don't talk about and enjoying the culture. Unfortunately I had to migrate just like millions of Venezuelans but it makes me feel proud to see you mentioning us in the top 5 and as your fav country in the American Continent!!
Thanks! 🇻🇪 💛💙❤

I'm Brazilian and I'm very eager to visit your country, I'm just waiting for some political stability. This video made me even more curious.
Your list is so enlightening! Thank you for your open mindedness and curiosity. I really want to travel more now!
I drove a motorcycle through Mexico with a friend once and we were blown away by how friendly, elegant, and cultured the Mexicans were. We didn't know what we were doing, any Spanish, or even directions (before GPS) and they went out of the way to be helpful.
I seriously envy your courage to travel to all these places. I plan to visit most of Europe in the future but seeing you talk about countries like Lebanon, Iran, Turkey, etc. makes me want to visit them first
yes I visited all of them but Turkey is already European. You'll see when you go. It's funny to me that Turkey is even in the same sentence as Iran and Lebanon.
@@emmastan785 Turkey and Iran have similarities.
You are sounding like because Turkey is "European" its way better than Iran and you probably heard western media stuff.
Iran and Turkey have border and there is Turkish population in Iran.

I have visited 124 countries turkey is definitely my favorite country.. they have wonderful beaches best night clubs the people are amazing the best cuisine in the world.. I go every summer.. Antalya , Marmaris, bodrum.. damn I can't wait to go back..
thank-you for choosing philippine as your no.1 favorite country! you know im wishing that i can visit iran and turkey someday,i don't know why but since ive been here in japan and planning to go some other countries that 2 country im dreaming of to go ......
The Philippines! Yes! It's been way too long since we've been there, it's happening again this January with a side of Japow!
Hey Drew! The Philippines already grew to 7,640 islands! There were additional 531 discovered islands to explore! 😄
Wow that's incredible! 💪
Philippines is a magical country, it just sad that government are corrupt back then. one of the most beautiful country in the world.
@@dominiquemejino6147 it still is now cuz um yeah
The Philippines is easily the best country in the world
Only America and Russia came close
@@Psycho-th8vb Just one of the best, not THE best. We do not have snow. Unlike Vietnam, it is a tropical country same as the Philippines, yet they have snow there. Filipinos, still needs to travel to Japan, Korea, US, Canada, or Europe just to experience snow. 😁
And that’s why you’re the Philippines’ most favorite travel vlogger ❤️
Besides Japan, which I hope so much to visit one day, Denmark is my favorite country that I have ever visited. Besides the fact one of my best friends is from Denmark, it is a beautiful and very hospitable country, whose language I'm also learning. Even though it's quite rainy and windy, it's definetly worth a visit. Also, LEGO is one of my greater interests, and to say that I felt like a kid again when I visited the LEGO House would be an understatement. 😂🇩🇰
Thank you so much. Japan and Mexico made your top 10. I am currently living in Saudi Arabia and Lebannon & Turkey just moved up in my list.
As an Irish person I love this video. I have always found Filipino people to be so warm and hard working and have a great sense of humor. To be honest iv met people from all the countries you have mentioned and found them great. I really hope to visit the Philippines one day.
You should visit my country someday. That is one country in the world that you would want to spend a week in but end up staying there for good.
I wanna meet my uncle and aunt in Dublin too.
I'm actually going to the Philippines for one year to help out at a charity project starting this summer, seeing them at #1 makes me more excited to go there!

I get the travel bug man. I'm in a LDR, I'm American, and shes Dutch, and the first time I visited her was also the first time I'd ever left the States. Once I was there, experiencing a different culture, I was hooked. Since then, we've traveled all throughout Western Europe and parts of Eastern Europe. We have so many more countries to see. The two we really want to visit are Turkey and Japan! Watching your videos gives us ideas of countries to go to that may not have been on our list!
Turkey is lovely. Austria is really beautiful. There's something about greeny mountains that just hits different. Planning to revisit some parts of Switzerland I haven't before.
Thank you very much Drew for Loving the Philippines. We Filipinos Welcome You and Love You.👍❤👍🇵🇭👍❤👍
I also started my travel journey in Prague. Did a few media internships there and literally just found out I’m going again! Beautiful place.
I have 4 favourite countries:
4th place is Hungary. I went to Budapest in 2019 and loved it! It's a really beautiful city. I ate one of the best cakes I ever remember eating; a walnut cake. I also bought a CD from one of my favourite bands. We weren't there for long, but only positive memories remain!
3rd place is England. I always feel at home in England. I've only been to London and Brighton but I've visited multiple times and I've always had a good time. I want to go back soon, I just have to work on my anxiety a bit more first.
2nd place is my father's birthplace, Norway. Half of my family live in Lofoten which is a beautiful place. I recommend everyone to go there at least once in their life! There are beautiful mountains to hike, they have the famous midnight sun and there are lots of small beautiful towns and lots of beautiful nature!
1st place is Japan. I visited in 2018 and was only there for a week but I've never been so happy for that long in my whole life as I was when I was in Japan. We went to South Korea during the same trip but sadly I did not have a very good time there (I've studied both Korean and Japanese as I love languages so I wanted to visit the countries). But I loved Japan. One of my dreams is to travel the country by train. I'm really interested in Northern Japan and would love to visit! It's one of the countries I can see myself living in in the future alongside England.
I love travelling but I'm suffering from really bad anxiety right now so travelling has been put on-hold for now. I hope to get better so that I can travel once again.
it's heartwarming to know from a man who travelled the world to appreciate Philippines so much 💙
it's also good to introduce countries that aren't always heard of but are great to visit..
thanks drew.. keep it up 💙
The world is aware that people like you are constantly in need of validation. So expect the Philippines to be number 1 in every list on CZcams.
@@eduardochavacano I am aware of this hasty generalization. But I believe Drew is true enough in his own choosing. I think it isn't right to think everyone as an opportunist as to gathering many viewers. We aren't the only ones in youtube, by the way.

Some places doesn't need extra introduction because its well known for its hospitality. Philippines is definitely on top of the list because of their lovely people and thats a fact! 🙂

As someone who’s Mexican (viva México 🇲🇽) and married to a Venezuelan 🇻🇪- this video makes my heart so full & happy!
I can’t wait to visit my husband’s homeland and he suggested for your next visit to go to Mérida! And I would say in Mexico go visit Guadalajara because the food is to die for! Love the videos!
También Taxco y Acapulco! Disculpa, soy de Guerrero viviendo en Tejas. 😂
Japan is definitely the country I want to visit the most, since I'm obsessed with the media from there. Anime and video games and even some of their live dramas and of course technology, but my wife is also from the Philippines and we went to the Philippines last summer for 5 weeks. It was my first time there and we had a fantastic time. I do agree, lots of friendly people and good food. Sometimes we'd spend a whole day just drinking and eating good food with lots of friends and family.
Unfortunately, there's a lot of poverty there and people trying to hussle to make ends meet, even though things are very cheap there, about half of what we pay for things in my home country, Canada. Then the occasional things that are even cheaper than half too.
Some of the poverty can also be a bit depressing, it really makes you appreciate what you have in 1st world countries. I stayed in some places there for a few days that weren't what I was used to compared to back home, and I did feel a little down some days and missed being back home. But it's a good experience all around. Near the end I did get a little homesick, but my wife and I plan on going back again soon since her family and friends are there, and it's a nice place to visit.
Just be wary of it being very hot and humid followed by the most rain I've probably ever saw in my life. They do tend to get a lot of typhoons there, especially during the season for it. Lots of bugs and crazy drivers and big crowds, especially in Manilla.
Otherwise, everything else there from what I've seen is quite nice.
if you dont want to deal with the hussle and bustle of metro manila but still want to experience "manila" you should stay in bgc, makati and ortigas. very modern and more chill. haha. late january to february is a good month to visit coz the weather isnt scorching hot and a lot less rain plus the traffic is calmer since holidays is over. food is super good coz variety is through the roof! but if you really want to enjoy philippines theres so much island to explore and the beaches are top tier!
Thank you Drew for considering Phillippines as your #1. I’m Filipina, although I have lived in the US for decades now, I still call Cebu, Philippines as my home and can’t wait to move back for good someday.❤
