On "My Car Story" we're in the Suburbs of Phoenix, AZ on 2-2-24.
We're looking at Alan Travis Museum of early Automobiles.
Alan Travis is an authority of the early automobile. He’s an Engineer who studies, fixes, and collects the early automobiles. From his parents giving him an Erector Set at 4 years old to now, Alan’s passion is understanding how it works, and then making it work. Alan graduated college with a degree in Engineering. Alan started collecting cars in 1987. Alan has won many awards for racing the cars we see today and everything we see runs. As we start the journey with him on sharing his knowledge on the early automobile, sit back, learn, and enjoy.

Hi Jeff, High praise :-) My pleasure sharing Alan's cars / museum with you, Lou
It was worth watching this extended version, lasting more than an hour, about the beginnings of the automotive industry! It is, as always, very interesting to watch Mr. Travis show and explain details about these old vehicles. I was also struck by the large collection of photographs, posters and documentation from that distant era (special mention for the wax cylinder recording and its reproduction on a Thomas Edison machine). Congratulations, Lou, on this exciting historical journey through the beginnings of motorsport!
Hi Jaime, Happy to read you enjoy wax cylinder recording, I'm not sure I can hear that anywhere but Alan's place. Glad I was able to share it with you, Lou

Lou, I watched this over the course of several days. You've outdone yourself...
Smithsonian type stuff.
I really enjoyed this series and learned a great deal.
A pat on your back ole-boy. "🤚"
Audie, "You've outdone yourself..." High praise. I'm happy to see you appreciate the effort. Alan and I discussed for a year, I picked up new equipment, we had "learning sessions" before each car to video, and after 3 weekends and 2 weeks together on-site, this is the result. Lou
I'm sure of this, I live in Indianapolis, that the Premier Comet ☄️ was built here, south of this neighborhood (1919). Gee..
