To hold those corners in on my truck i did some small 1/2" long self tapping screws through the grill into the metal behind it. Only bummer is you have to take that lower corner marker lens out to get to that self tapping screw but its nice becasue it does hide it. If I remember ill snap chat you kinda what I am explaining.

i know for sure if you want to install a billet grille you do have to cut off the old grille

Do you have a video on how you put the tindust GMC grille on?
I don't. It's very simple. You have to cut out all of the GMC backing and the cross slats, position the Tindust insert, and in each corner it screws down and attaches to the grille shell.
BADZ71 ok cool. What about the chrome piece that surrounded the GMC. Cut that out as well?
Yeah I had to take that off. This replaced all of that.
