Checo Perez renewed for TWO YEARS with Red Bull! Until 2026!

The Red Bull team has officially confirmed that Sergio 'Checo' Pérez will continue as its driver until 2026, putting an end to the rumors about his future. The Mexican has signed a contract extension for two more years, as had been his wish since the start of the season.
Checo Pérez joined Red Bull for the 2021 season and has since scored five of his six Formula 1 victories and has been on the podium 29 times in 74 Grands Prix. He also contributed to the historic 1-2 in the Drivers' Championship in 2023, alongside teammate Max Verstappen.
In Red Bull's official statement, Perez expressed his happiness and commitment to the team, highlighting the challenge and excitement of being part of Oracle Red Bull Racing. He thanked for the trust placed in him and was determined to reciprocate with excellent results, both on and off the track.
“I am very happy to commit my future with this great team, it is a challenge like no other race for Oracle Red Bull Racing, both on and off the track,” Checo Perez is quoted as saying in the Red Bull statement. “I am delighted to stay here to continue our journey together and contribute to the great story of this team for two more years.”
“Being part of the team is a huge challenge and I love it. We have a great challenge this year and I have full confidence in the whole team that the future is bright here and I am excited to be a part of it.
“I want to thank everyone for all the trust they are putting in me, it's a lot and I want to repay it with excellent results on and off the track. I think we have a lot of work to do, we have many more championships to win together,” he added.
Christian Horner, the team principal, was also pleased with Perez's renewal, stressing the importance of continuity and stability for the team. He praised the collaboration between Perez and Verstappen, highlighting the success of their partnership, which secured Red Bull's first one-two result in the Championship last year.
The renewal of Checo Pérez strengthens Red Bull's line-up and ensures the continuity of a successful and stable driver duo, looking forward to a promising future in Formula 1.
