I legit think "Magicians of Baltimore" has become my favorite Animal Collective song ever these past few years. The whole build up to the "And I go there when I can, many miles haunting me" part of the song is perhaps the most cathartic AC moment for me now.
This version's Bluish is amazing
Best band ever? They are definitely top 5 for me.
The dude talking while unsolved mysteries starts fits perfectly. “we are here, man. we are fucking here. we are here-“

I feel like this is the kind of band that can't really be fully captured through video, I know that's technically true of any band but seeing all of it live was just on a whole other level
I agree, the sounds are felt, the vibe is shared. Being there live is one of a kind experience.

Glad they're still playing Soul Capturer. They dropped it for a bit and I was worried it wasn't going to be getting any more play, and potentially never see an official release. I think it's gonna make it bros.

What I wouldn't do for a studio recording of that version of Wide Eyed. Absolutely love the reworkings of their older songs with this new atmospheric approach.
Can’t believe I missed this show
I was planning to go to this show but I got COVID and had a pretty fuckin bad time. I'm glad I could catch this after all, even if it's through a video

I remember Gem & I easily being my favorite of the new material, the new ones (and when I say new ones I mean the ones like 4 years old lol) I didn't recognize were harder to get into, but I really digged this one. Almost gives off Talking Heads vibes

The new version of Wide-Eyed is phenomenal!! Not gonna get my hopes up for a studio version but it would be awesome if they did!

Applesauce is so much better on this reccording than the studio version IMO. Avey's voice seems deeper which I prefer massively!

The band has stated soon after Time Skiffs's release that they already had another album's worth of material, so probably on a release next year

I found Time Skiffs underwhelming on the production side, the songs just sound so much better live.
I dunno, I thought Strung With Everything went absolutely hard live. I like the more rock sound they were going for throughout the concert

Luckily I was a couple sections back, didn’t hear much chatter at all
Fr people were being really obnoxious, still a great performance tho. Kept on getting bumped into by the people in front of me & some family members

@@adrianaosorio3093 funny how that works with most GA shows. The “most rabid fans” also end up being the most entitled and disconnected from what’s happening on stage. Pretty sad imo
