    The motherboard of this thing is awesome. Besides, you can upgrade graphics card from 6pin to 8pin. You just need a new extension cable, so it will allow you to install more powerful card, as long as it is a blower type with all connector fitting in the bezel, and within max power range

    This is such a great video! No one else has done this on CZcams and I’ve learned a lot from it. Quick question - Any idea if an RTX 2060 turbo would fit as a replacement for the graphics card?

    • @OpenMeUpTec
      @OpenMeUpTec  Před 4 lety +3

      many people ask this question and the asnwer still remains the same. there are 2 things you need SIZE and POWER.
      Size: As long it is the same size or less tha what is in it, it will fit. the original was a 1060 trubo therefore should be the same size as a 2060 turbo. you can look it up and compare the size
      Power: this computer only has one 6-pin connector therefore whatever you put in it must have the same requrements, so it needs to use only a 6-pin connector

    Im using the ROG GR8 MINI PC with a I5 procesor and a GTX 1060 3GB Card.
    I have this pc for 4 years and its all good,but latly its geting louder and i think its heating more than it should (task menager says 95-96c on the GPU while playing)
    and i think something is wonrg with my graphics card couse of the ubnormal temperature i see in TM.
    I saw all the coments below i know what you recomend but i have to ask this GTX 1060 has 1 fan and it fits the metal part from the pc,
    If the newer graphics i put lets say GTX 1660 (with 6 pin conncector and it fits in the pc perfectly as you say) has 2 fans would it fit in the metal casing from the pc it self.
    and will the airflow be ok for the second fan.
    For note i cleaned up my pc and still high temperature,so also would you recommend replacing the paste on the GPU it self for maybe to lower the temp wich is 96c while playing.
    Thank you very much for the answer and awsome video.
