Thank you so much for this! I might still use the stock Mabuchi 380 X NiCd Batteries on my 1/14 Nikko Backfire and Super Fox before trying with LiPo. Or I could retrofit the Mabuchi 540. Thank you for this video!

thanks for this comparison! for me the little extra speed is not worth upgrading to the 540, I rarely go top speed and prefer to just cruise my buggy round so this has saved me time and expense. Great video.

You put a lot of effort for under 3 minutes video (that's why I like it and subscribe). It's just I don't like the tv static part much. For other aspect (music, information, shot angle, etc) it's perfect!

I'm just the opposite, I didn't like that it was so short. I am a fast reader but even i had to rewatch parts to get all the reading done. Great info but i feel we shouldn't have to watch a video several times to fully digest all the info. Just my humble opinion. Keep up the great work, you earned another subscriber here!

Keep in mind the difference in runtimes between the 380 vs 540 motors. The 380 pulls less amps rustling in longer runtimes overall.

I have kept the 380 motors in the kid's Tamiya Grashoppers. When they got enough skills, I gave them lightweight 3S LiFe pack. Keeping the weight down helps a lot, and when crashing, less weight = less damage
