Thank you so much for this! I might still use the stock Mabuchi 380 X NiCd Batteries on my 1/14 Nikko Backfire and Super Fox before trying with LiPo. Or I could retrofit the Mabuchi 540. Thank you for this video!
thanks for this comparison! for me the little extra speed is not worth upgrading to the 540, I rarely go top speed and prefer to just cruise my buggy round so this has saved me time and expense. Great video.
I'm glad I could help you : )
Thank you for the feedback.
Nicely produced video! I found it interesting and informative even though I have no interest in RC hobbies!
Your words give me courage.
Thank you for watching : )
You put a lot of effort for under 3 minutes video (that's why I like it and subscribe). It's just I don't like the tv static part much. For other aspect (music, information, shot angle, etc) it's perfect!
I am honored by your comment. Thank you very much.
I'm just the opposite, I didn't like that it was so short. I am a fast reader but even i had to rewatch parts to get all the reading done. Great info but i feel we shouldn't have to watch a video several times to fully digest all the info. Just my humble opinion. Keep up the great work, you earned another subscriber here!
Cool video, Very informative!
I am honored. Thank you.
Keep in mind the difference in runtimes between the 380 vs 540 motors. The 380 pulls less amps rustling in longer runtimes overall.
I agree with you. I understand that the difference in runtimes between the 380 and 540 is important.
Good video, you definitely put effort into making it
I am honored. I will continue as much as possible.
Thank you very much : )
I love your videos. Thanks. Where did you get the adapter to put normal pinion on 380 motor small 2mm shaft?
For example ...
Tamiya type 380-S motor (SP.1487) comes with the adapter.
Please don't use the static for CZcams videos... It just kills the codec
Otherwise good video
what is the current drawn in the 380?
Good video --- this is a knowledge ...i need that kind of motor to make air blower
I'm glad I could help you : )
Super Video !!
Thank you for watching : )
Love it!
Thanks : )
Nice! 👍😃👍
Thank you for watching : )
I’m swapping my 380 motor on a holiday buggy for a 540 sport tuned. Any advice?
Nothing in particular...Well...
Have you replaced with ball bearings!
540 sport tuned motor is good balance! I love it!
Enjoy your powerful holiday buggy : )
I don't know if you play rc boat but would 540 be enough for a boat weighting about 2kg?
Thank you for question : )
I wanna answer but it's so difficult. I think it's a matter of taste.
Sorry...
Hello, how are you sir ?
Have you ever tried and thing higher than 7.4v for a 180 motor? 11.1 v or lower? Any chance for it ,do you think? Thank-you ~ !
180 motor...
Sorry, I haven't tried it.
@@cagemanch.7567 Do you think it stand a chance for a 180 motor?
Okay so basically the 540 is better? Should I upgrade the battery too
If you want more speed or more torque, the 540 motor will be needed.
It will be more effective if you upgrade the battery too. It is okay only the motor.
Thank you for watching : )

How much kv does the 380 motor have
Sorry...
I have never measured the kv value of the 380 motor.
@@cagemanch.7567 oh ok because the car I wanted to get had the 380 motor

Can 380 can use11.1v lipo2200mah 30c?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Yes!
However, pay attention to the gear ratio.
@@cagemanch.7567 Thanks a lot
But i will use 380motor pump
Lt is okay?
but in engines with brushed brushes the brushes wear out?
That is, if the charcoal is consumed the engine is to be thrown away? 🙄
These motors can not be maintained.
Brushless motors are Infinite?
It is maintenance-free than brushed motors, but parts such as bearings will deteriorate.

twin 380 motors are the best on the kyosho blizzard with twin tracks...
not 540 motors
thinking of putting a 380 in my 1/10th drift rc car. 540 is too much
That sounds great : )
Thank you for your interesting comment.
I have kept the 380 motors in the kid's Tamiya Grashoppers. When they got enough skills, I gave them lightweight 3S LiFe pack. Keeping the weight down helps a lot, and when crashing, less weight = less damage

380 motor is a okay and normal speed / little save battery energy...
540 motor is a more faster speed and stronger / more eat battery energy
I think so : )
Thank you for watching.
@@cagemanch.7567 Is there a way to find the equivelant of 380 and 540 brushed on brushless motors?
