People won’t be here 100 years from now. Intelligent life then will be silicon, not carbon-based.
But I think it'll be sooner than that because of AGI, so I'm saying is that technology has been improving very little which makes sense if we look at what we can accomplish right now, I'm thinking about that theory about how quantum computing power will be able to progress, well that's what will happen with our evidence/results from this AGI, think about it, so far it's been true.
Spoiler alert!! 100 years from now humans will be almost extinct all technology will be useless, and what's left of humanity will start again living a more natural way in sync with the environment without the need for damaging technology!!!

Investing online could be always difficult but you should have a brief on what you wanna invest in carefully before going in.
@@zeynebvanscheppingen I do my analysis carefully, then take the opposite of what I would normally take and still get the same result. I'm starting to feel hopeless.

The progress in AI has been incredible in just the past few years. My guess is we have AGI by 2030. I've got videos on my channel talking to a GPT-3 powered VR chatbot, and it already feels like there's a spark of life waiting to ignite.
Very excited about AGI happening very soon, I feel like it's just round the corner.
This feels like a piece of history.

When I was selecting MSc projects, I was considering AI. My course director told me that was really risky,
and, if I wanted to create an intelligence, I should get with a woman and make a child.
So I did that and didn't do AI for my MSc project, but I did AI for my PhD project and onwards (Oct2010-present).
Now 2 children, both very clever and planning future work on more general AI.
A move to cardano is super cool, Ben & Charles hopefully help a lot of people in need ❤️
Ben is a honest and cool guy. I guess that's why Ben and Charles get on so well.

Truly mind blowing. Awesome work that will definitely change the world. Also, kind of terrifying. It’s not if, but when superintelligence will emerge. I hope these amazing people with amazing brains consider deeply what the implications of the outcome of something vastly vastly more intelligent than us being a very real reality, because it will get to a certain point, very quickly and probably by surprise, that it will be impossible to control. Impossible.

Hi Ben! I just posted this on the Extropian list:
AGI must be able to match the average human in all intellectual endeavors to be worth being called a human-level AGI. Various aspects of human cognition have been solved by narrow AIs in the past 25 years and year by year the number of tasks where humans still beat AI is getting smaller. In many of these narrow tasks the AI doesn't just match human ability but rather it beats humans by completely inhuman margins. The first AI that checks off the last box on the list of human capabilities to beat will be the AGI, the holy grail - but most of the capabilities it inherited from earlier iterations will be strongly superhuman. So the first AGI will actually be the first superhuman AGI, not human-level AGI. To bring it down to human level you would have to handicap it harshly, and I can't think of a reasonable use-case for such a digital cripple.
Therefore, human-level AGI will never happen. QED 😀

Hi Ben. Thank you for this and your gargantuan efforts in your field. Your closing statements gave me back hope that A.G.I. might benefit the whole of humanity with it's potential. This is so very important, especially after what we have seen from corporate and nationalistic ownership of the (relatively low level of) technology we have thus far. I do worry about the potential competition between the future A.G.I's, as those with real world power like to hang on to it. Having said thet we can't win the race if we don't enter it. I have no technological expertise to offer, but I would like to help if I could. Do you use any software similar to the "Folding @ home" system for processing? If this is so I could perhaps help there? Anyway, love to you and your family - take care of each other and very best wishes for your future.
what really blew me away in 2021 was just how far neuromorphic computing has come, in the last three years three separate tech giants have been able to achieve roughly 1% of human brain scale in emulated neurons and synapse.. now that is obviously with caveats, but, amazing nonetheless
