Site power shenanigans

  • Gday everyone!
I’m sorry it’s been so long since my last video, I’ve had some personal issues I’ve needed to work through.
I’m happy to say we are now back on deck, and pushing ahead with new content, new life goals, and lots of fun and hopefully interesting content.
In this video we start to work on a Perkins Diesel Generator that we purchase site unseen.
We were told it was 25kva, 3 phase, and that it did run.
As most of the machines we have are 3 phase, and there is no chance the street power will ever be 3 phase here, we jumped at this chance to have a decent sized site power supply.
To see more of our Site Power Shenanigans, I hope you enjoy this video :-)

Looks like you are building crocodile habitat there at the beginning.

JB, I'm doing a DPF on a non all4 Mini countryman. I have the DPF released, but I can't see from any of your videos whether you took the DPF out of the top or bottom after freeing up the engine. It looks to me if I release the lower anti swing engine mount and take one half shaft out I think it may come out of the bottom. Can you let me know. Thanks.

I was able to get the dpf out the top, by tilting the engine toward. I did this with the all4 by releasing the rear drive shaft coupling but didn’t need to pull the half shafts.
