- The Terracotta Army was created during the reign of the first emperor of China's Qin dynasty (221-207 B.C.), to protect the emperor's tomb. 700,000 people probably worked on the site, near the city of Xian, for almost three decades. More than 8000 figures have been excavated so far. The tomb has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Recorded October 2015 in 4K (Ultra HD) with Sony AX100.

Going there in December 2016 ..just because of this video!!! thank YOU!!!!
Glad you got curious about this (and probably others) extraordinary place
GOOD LUCK
This takes my breath away. The different faces. Thank You for your time and sharing.
It's impressive that they invested so much money to protect this site, those huge structures covering the pits can't be cheap.
Incredible..I've seen photos but they don't do justice to the scale...this is a monument to mankind...despite all the hype in the west, I admire China for risking alternatives from their own class conscious, culturally divisive, culture as a means of maintaining regional peace, and I think we westerners totally underestimate the intelligence and determination of the Chinese people
As a Chinese person, i don't care how you the westen esmate Chinese people.
Milosh, it is simply mind-blowing to contemplate what ancient civilizations accomplished. Your high quality images and steady focus, uncluttered by voice-over, is the perfect medium for contemplating these wonders. Thank you again for taking the time and effort to show them.
Thank you, Drew! Quite impressive view, one of the wonders of the ancient civilizations. And the story is so harsh and unbelievable...
+Amazing Places on our Planet - Milosh, this video and your latest one, Tiger Leaping Gorge, have just about made my mind up to make a visit to China my next (for me) exotic trip. We try to take one big trip a year and was thinking of either India or China. My wife has the casting vote and I know she wont choose India! If you could find the time, could you please give me a hint or two about any problems we might face visiting China. Visa issues, accommodations etc, We normally travel alone, not with an organized group, but if we have to, we would do it that way!I will add an email address you could use if you would rater not reply here. If this is a problem, or you are too busy, that's fine, I understand. h0varlet@yahoo.com(that second "letter" is the number 0 )Thanks, Drew Irving
Drew Irving will reply to the email, Drew :)

Thanks for enjoying the channel, skylilly :)
You have used the light so skilfully to produce an excellent record of this amazing site, and to think it was only uncovered by farmers in 1974!
Truly outstanding video - and what a sightseeing! I hope to visit China next year and I am definitely going to see the Terracotta warriors.
Edit: Finally I did visit Xi'an and the Terracotta Warriors on 15.09.2018. It's really the eighth wonder of the world!
Thanks for watching! Many interesting places to see in China, enjoy :)

thank you so much! this video is also amazing, especially for us old couple who cannot travel any longer! we enjoy all of your videos. greetings from jantien buisman, holland.
+jantien buisman Glad to hear you enjoy the channel :) All the best!
It must be quite impressive to be there! Also a little scary. All in all a great experience! Thank you for this wonderful share Milosh!
Thank you, Annemieke! Yes, it is a little spooky, but the story around building the place and the emperor is even scarier and mercyless
+Amazing Places on our Planet The gem of the place is the tomb of the Emperor Qin. It is believed that he has designed his resting place in the afterlife to look like the universe, with precious stones shimmering in the ceiling representing the stars of the night sky and rivers of mercury representing the milky way. But it is also recorded in the Book of Sima Qian, an ancient historian, that he also installed booby traps that would kill anyone trying to enter. Current team involved in the excavation has decided for the time being, not to excavate it, as present technology would not be able to preserve the colours - as happened in the excavation of the terra-cotta warriors whose colours immediately disappeared upon exposure to the elements - and also detectors have found high levels of mercury surrounding his tomb. So they believe Sima Qian might be right afterall. Hence the tomb will be spookier!
ymhktravel thanks for the explanation, the story is amazing!
The Terracotta Army was supposed to have pit 4, however, for the reason of peasant uprising, the mausoleum was not completed. such a pity .

Thanks for watching the channel regularly :)
Thank you for very interesting video and wonderful music!!! Impressive video!!!
Happy weekend!!!
Warm greetings!!!
Many thanks, Irena!
Thank You for this
Im so proud of it
I had a feeling that each statues represent real people who are really closed to the emperor. He built a statue for them so they could all stay with him in eternity, the emperor really cherished all these individuals, they were the people who helped him achieved his goals, hence why each statues has different figure specially the face because if they are normal statues most artist will just make them all look the same.
Really well done!!!!
thank you!
Thanks Milosh!!!
Welcome, as always:)
Take care !
very nice, as usual ,enjoyed watching....
+Fatima Naqvi Thank you, Fatima!

The tumb has not been opened yet as well as you can see in the video - pit 2. They are not in a hurry to open it, rather want to have the right technology and do it properly. Best regards, Ki-Sha !

Thank you, Kremena!
Les vidéos de Corée, Chine y Japon son merveilleuses. J'adore les trois civilisations
Amazing
sou apaixonada por a historia dos terra cota ingrivel
They're amazing. Looking at that, seems the armour is different for each soldier too. You should add some blurb in the discription on why it was all done. I'm guessing some emperor wanted to take his army to the afterlife or something.
The story is too long for the description, but so interesting, so I should find some good link where people can read it! Thanks :)
+NeonsStyle It is widely believed that each mould was made to represent a real person, hence each warrior is unique. Possibly those warriors are modelled after actual human warriors of the Emperor Qin.
I went to terra cotta museum ( Chinese: 兵馬俑博物館)in 1987, smile 😊 😊😊😊
Very good. Very good
The Fantastic Journey :)
:)
Did you to go down for the filming? Is that possible? Thank You!
No, not really :)
Just from the borders of the pits
Greetings!
Wonderfull..👍🤔
Thank you, always good to see you in the channel :)
For memory I would recommend 32 GB, 16 GB works too, but not that well. For GPU - minimum for laptop would be nvidia 960M, but more powerful desktop card will be way better, or 970M for laptop

Wooden statues returned to mudrock by water from the flood soaking them in the deep for a long time.even steel ie metals turned back to rock.
I cant believe the fact of they were real humans

It is shocking. How sick must a person be to force other people to create all this!
Ellos no eran SOLDADOS ERAN INGENIEROS...LA GRAN MURALLA CHINA!!!!!!! FUENTE: ALBERTO CANOSA CZcams
Xian was the capital of six dynasties. The architecture is the real Han civilization. Beijing is Manchuria style, not the traditional China. Han is 90% of China, they don’t shave their forehead and grew the funny pigtail hair in the back.
manchuria style only refers to those pigtails and ugly clothes, the palaces and the culture of beijing is all han and have nothing to do with manchus. don't gift han heritage to manchu invaders while hating them.
@@milotuxedo7176 除了明篡帝,没有任何汉人王朝定都渔阳。
They are look like Hun Turk. not chinese. More Uyghur and Ottoman Turk
No, they are not, actually Terracotta warriors were color-painted and they all had black hair and Han Chinese's facial feature, Hun Turk were nomadic barbarians in the far northwest of China and they were enemies against Qin army, and Terracotta Army is in the capital of Qin dynasty, which located in the central China
Sunny Sunlin you are wrong. Terracotta army was found in lower of pyramit(kurgan). kurgan is a grave that covers with soil hill. we see that building in a
middle asia anatolia siberia European even iceland. kurgan(you call pyramit) is a euroasian culture not chinese. lower of chinese we dont see like this culture.
HAHAHA So you think only Mid asia had kurgan? Nearly all the great Chinese emperor had kurgan or pyramit except Qing dynasty emperor(because they are Manchus), and you know what, even Japan has a historical period called Kofun, which means Era of Great Tombs, you dont know any Chinese history
In fact, they are our enemy in the history.
MK 中国 whose enemy?
