I’ve never been an 1830s fan, but this corset has lived rent free in my mind for years, so happy to see you replicating it, and you did such an amazing job!
Same! But there are some very pretty parts, aka, this corset!
Wow, you did wonderful job of sharing this project with us and showing us up-close details of everything you did. This is not just a corset; it’s a work of art. Beautiful!🤍🤍🤍
Corded corsets are my favorite type of supportive undergarments. Yes, including modern ones! I don't think I've ever made one as beautiful as yours though. Just a hint though, if you ever do trapunto quilting again, a crochet hook is VERY useful for pulling the fiber through short channels, rather than trying to thread a needle. Also, two hairbrushes with hard plastic bristles make excellent pseudo-carding combs, that you can use to help align the fibers.
Yor hair looks very nice and swingy. Your attention to detail is admirable.
The more I watch CZcamsrs doing the English seam, the more I want to do them!! 😅
That corset looked amazing! I loved the quilting!!
They're so good!! Definitely recommend!
Wow Bella! Wow! Seriously impressive amount of detail.
A Ariel Dress is beautiful, she we'll excited for too!!!! ❤
The corset is so lovely! The trapunto fill reminded me of the Icelandic Plötulopi yarn with nearly no twist, perfect for this!
(I've got enough wool and cotton to spin some low-twist singles myself, but sometimes you feel lazy 😅)
Its like you heard my call for new sewing videos 😆 perfect timing 🥰
Aw, yay! Thanks for being here!
Yeah! I love the corset/Stays videos
And can't wait for the future project to come
Oh heck I never thought about removing he busk to put the corset on, I figured it was removable for washing
AHHH this has come out at the perfect time, in halfway through an 1840s corset mock up, I’ll just pretend I’m a outdated corset maker of the era😂😂 can’t wait to start watching this video!
Aw, yay!
Your garments are just so gorgeous! I hope to one day be half the sewer you are!!!
Oh you came to New Zealand, where did you go. Hope you enjoyed it, I love my home. and I love your work, can't wait to see the next episode.
beautiful stays, bella! i love how you combined machine and hand sewing. and i love your hair--very flattering! :)
You do such beautiful detailed work 👍🏻😻
Love it!
Wow!
Increíble, saludo desde México 🇲🇽 🤍
23:16 That looks awesome and you look awesome, pretty and beautiful in that ball gown from Disney's Cinderella 2015 live-action remake.
I made the laughing moon 115 stays and even with the machine, it took longer then the victorian corsets I've sewn
Love the hair!
8:17 I never knew what that was called! It's so beautiful but I don't know if I have the hand strength/patience for it!
11:38 oh my gosh this is so beautiful!
Hi Bella! I posted this comment under a different video but I don't know if you saw it. I love the costumes that you make! I really want to learn to sew, and I decided to start with a circle skirt. When letting it hang after sewing so that the fabric stretches out, and then cutting the hem, how do I cut the seams of the skirt without causing them to unravel? There wouldn't be any backstitch at that point.
That's great!! I usually don't worry about it since I'm sewing the hem and the usually folds enough of the seam that's "loose" and then the hem stitching locks it in. But if it's a fine hem, then I would recommend going back to the seams and doing some back stitching to lock it back in place.
@@BellaMaesDesigns Okay, thank you so much!
