The main reason for bad crowds in Rio-Brazil is that is simply way too dangerous to go to events that goes up to 2, 3AM.
Rio is one of the worst places in Brazil. Perhaps THE worst.
That makes sense I assume that most of the people who can afford to go to these events are wealthy and don’t want to get robbed either.

I was watching in the Brazilian broadcast, and they mentioned Aldo was training full time with gold medal Olympic boxing athlete Falcao, which you can clearly see on his foot work, how he almost teleports to the right distance, and how precise his punches were

I'm Brazilian and I really think that the one big problem is that Brazilian Fighters are not selling themselves. I hate trash talk, but some talk must happen, otherwise casuals won't engage with champions like Pantoja. Since Anderson Silva and Belfort left UFC, the casual fans went to watch other sports.
Another problem is that the ticket price is too expansive, so the real fans are replaced by rich people who are there to take instagram photos, when the event happens here it's not made for the real fans. UFC and MMA are still big here, but it has to be acessible for the people who really care about it, it doesn't have to be cheap, but to run against football matches in Brazil it has to be attractive. And UFC events are almost aways happening in Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo, but there are other places to go here. I live in Brasília, the capital, I would love to watch UFC here, I'm a hardcore fan and Brasília has lots os hardcore fans.

The fights are really late in Brazil because they are USA PPV time. Also there was a madonna show (free) and Flamengo was playing (soccer game, most popular team in the city).
Oralbi is very khamzatish. And yeah Elvis isn’t the best but he’s pretty good. He’s a chute box guy with Charles and we know ALL that team fights exactly the same and they’re all very good. But yeah that oralbi guy is very good.

When the rounds are close and somebody lands a nasty hit that opens up the opponent, that swings the round. You don’t get credit for takedowns that lead to nothing. That’s not effective grappling. That’s just trying to survive.

@@MMAJOEYC my argument is more for round 3 than 5. I do believe Pantoja won the fight 3-2. I thought Erceg won rounds 3 and 4. Two could’ve went either way but I gave it to Pantoja. It wasn’t a robbery but extremely close I thought.

What are you on about the crowd? The arena was hella noisy. Its the ufcs fault for putting the fights in a place that has 0 acess to. Literally had to pay 100 dollars for a 20 minute ride home after the event. All of this added to the fact that fking madonna had to put on a free show that had 1.5 million people in copacabana the same time as the event

I disagree that the human mind can’t enjoy small fighters. Everyone is invested in the bantamweight division recently, I believe it’s mostly because of the lack of interesting personalities. There are no stories going on 125 and fighting is about entertainment.
