- Late in 2021 Lectrosonics added the much anticipated support for the DCR822 wireless receiver. In this video I'll give you a quick tour of the 822 interface inside of Wireless Designer and give you an example of my small cart workflow when using Wireless Designer and how it integrates with larger sound cart.
Thanks for this overview of your workflow with the 822 and Wireless Designer! Good ideas for the file structure & organization, BTW.
I clicked subscribe because I liked the sound of your CZcams video so I know you know what you're talking about.
Thanks for the sub Glen!
Love the overview, super helpful! Keep rolling!
Thanks Corphix!
This a great overview Michael. A very powerful tool.
Thank you Mark!
Thank You Michael, well put together
Hi Michael, interesting to see how it’s done with Lectrosonics. I started in location sound but quickly changed to live sound where we use Shure wireless units all the time. The Shure Wireless Workbench seems so much easier to use! Oh my god the Wireless Designer user interface really looks terrible and confusing… Thanks for the overview, people using it will really appreciate it! 🙂
Thanks Michael!
Interesting video thanks. Does running your IFB Tx at 250mW not reduce the range of your talent mics by swamping the Rx? I’ve always tried to keep anything near my cart at 50mW or less.
Thanks Acorn, very good point and you are correct. Typically I run LPDA’s away from the small cart on a stand and IFB stays on the mini cart. So that keeps those issues at bay.
Do you change frequencies every time you get to a new location?
Yes, always for all talent wireless, however I typically keep my IFB, BST75 & Coms locked and only change those as needed.
