    Lots of people do reviews based on 50 and even 100 yrds, but the 35 yrds you use is a very doable hunting range for squirrels, rabbits. Also, outside reviews can really mess with groups due to wind, and give the impression a certain pellet may not do well for a specific gun, when in reality, it may do quite well at reasonable hunting ranges. Thanks for all the good info.

    First off I own many Hatsan break barrel rifles and for the most part they are a powerful and fairly accurate for the price. I personally don't think their Quatro trigger is all that amazing but it will do. On the flip side I would like to invest in some of their pcp's but can't understand what they have aginst putting a regulator in the pcp rifles as most other brand are doing. Thanks for the review and I would consider one of these if I didn't have to spend another $80 on a reg.

    Also there seems to be accuracy issue in product description cause when I look at hatsanusa they say the long version has more CC capacity tank but that's not indicated in the long versions product info unless you all have different versions, the specs on the long and not long versions are slightly different but they look identical on your website. also I answered my own question cause when I looked at hatsans webpage it says they come with irons TruGlo Fiber Optic Front & Rear Sights.. I think you need to update your store page to account for all this its confusing cause im not sure if your selling the new version or just talking about it but didnt update the specs on the product listing you are selling.

      The well respected Hard Air Magazine (hardairmagazine.com) does airgun industry reviews and gave the Nova Liberty and GOLD rating, The Puncher Mega a Bronze rating, and didn't have a review for the AT44. I owned the AT44-10 as my first PCP and give it a personal GOLD- (light, accurate, but under powered). The minus is the Hatsan customer service is very lacking for the everyday Joe. If you go with Hatsan (which is not a bad decision) get your gun from a reputable dealer (Airgun Deport, AOA, Pyramyd Air, Utah Airguns, etc) and not directly from Hatsan.

      Don't buy the PA. Ihave to say to everyone if you buy Hatsan go through a reputable airgun dealer. I have a new at44 PA from @hatsan and it jams every other mag! I have sent it back twice and when its returned it Jams again! They told me I need to maintain my gun. I explained I have 6 perfectly maintained airguns (5 are Hatsan). When mine jams the pellet and the breach seal ends up in the pump handle they will not own up to the fact there is something wrong with this gun, ignores my requests to replace it, and blames me for "not cooking it correctly"! Totally unprofessional. I feel like my money was just taken from me. So as I indicated if you buy go through one of the big guys...they'll probably get more respect from Hatsanusa, or at least they'll take can of you.

  • @billlatimer1646

    Pump action is so annoying. I own a AT44-long with an aftermarket silencer and standard, drilled out, and regulated tanks. Don't waste your time on a pump action. Get a standard lever action. My gun is a tack driver at 25-50 yards. I have not done any 100 yard shots with it, but I would suspect it wouldn't be that bad. The JSB Diablo Exact Jumbo 15.89 grains are my favorite with my kit.

    • @DonBrowsing
      @DonBrowsing Před 3 lety +2

      pump action gives you the convenience of keep your gun up and rapid fire. Especially for folks like me that likes the duality of having it for self defense also.

    • @rasberryrl
      @rasberryrl Před 3 lety +1

      You are absolutely correct. Mine is a .177 which I tuned to shoot the JSB Monsters at 29 fpe. The accuracy is pellet on pellet at 35 yards but that's where the fairytale ends. Like he said not good for the bench but is really heavy for the field too. If I were to take it hunting I would setup in a blind and not try to lug it around all day. I would probably just take my Hatsan Flash instead (6 1/2 lbs). The pump action is awkward and clipped several pellets which dislodged the 0-ring in the breach, this caused me to have to send it back for (warranty) repair, twice!. Also if you do not get the QE model you will need a moderator immediately as the non-qe version sounds like a firearm out the box!

      Great point and my reasoning behind owning this in .25cal. Always at the ready and super quick follow-ups. Too much overkill and pass through and scatter with conventional firearms in occupied dwellings; although, necessary and preferrable if circumstances dictate. Finally, much less prejudice against airguns, even higher powered ones like this AT44, versus a firearm, especially in a state like New York where I am legally required to retreat as much as possible in my own home before using lethal force against an intruder.
