So sorry about the tractor fail. Good news no one was hurt and it didn’t end in the pond! Didn’t the Lord have that tree in the right place for the tractor to swing sideways? So thankful no one was hurt.

Hopefully you don"t have to replace the rear end housing. That would be bad. Also being you are not a farmer this could be considered a yard tractor and should be covered under your home owners policy. We are farmers and our lawn tractor is covered under our home owners policy. Leave the loader on it. Without hydraulics it won" be easy to put it back on and the dealer will take that off in a jiffy. How do you maintain your ponds ?
Zero turn and string trimmers. ;)
Does it actually have a differential or does it have 2 hydraulic motors with one on each side. It also looks like the entire rear section including the PTO would have to be replaced.
I go back and forth wondering if only the left side is affected or both. I think the entire rear end may have to be replaced.
I wonder if that is brakes that is broken or if its a gear reduction for the rear wheels.

Were you able to fix the tractor?
It’s still at the shop awaiting a diagnosis.
It was made by man so it can be repaired by man but it would probably be cheaper to trade it in on another tractor.
It’s currently at my local Kioti dealer awaiting an appraisal.
How do you mow the lawn of 36 acres ?
They don't. I'm sure they just mow around the yard of the house and the rest is pasture. No mowing necessary.
Down below the pond the the west of the house is mainly woods as well
